The tacos on the menu for lunch were outstanding, I had one beef and a duroc pork, both tender and flavorful. The tortillas were homemade, pressed to order and thick. Held up to the sauce without breaking and making a mess. Service was not quick for lunch hour. Unfortunately my order was after a large group and took forty minutes. With that kind of a delay, I usually would write this place, permanently located at Loose Screw Brewery in downtown Meridian, off the list as several others had similar waits. One girl even offered to give her friends the keys to her SUV so they could get back to school sooner. However, those tacos were so delicious, I'm willing to try again. Also, save your money on adding a side of fried tortilla chips with one salsa. Just get another taco for about the same price. Trust me, a better choice for your money.

Fabulous tacos! We got one of each as well as the special which were fish tacos. SOOOOO good! It was also quick to get our food and I love the atmosphere!

Big Beantz is located inside the Loose Screw brewery. A properly paired food truck accessed from the inside of the brewery. My first visit was well enjoyed with two POLLO EN MOLE VERDE Tacos. Amazing taste. I also paired this with their Chips, Salsa, and Guacamole. I can say the food was well prepared and tasted amazing. The service is self service in which they give you the beacon that alarms when food is ready. From inside the brewery, it's very easy to locate and convenient to grab your food and sit down. My first visit tonight, 01-15-2025. I would definitely come back here for the food and the brews.

It's one of those places where you don't feel like you're sacrificing quality just because it's discounted. The happy hour menu itself is a win too. Great variety, everything came out quick, and the portions were better than most places offering "deals." You can actually make a full meal out of it without spending much. Service was on point, attentive without hovering, and the overall vibe made it easy to relax and stay a while. If you're looking for a spot with real value during happy hour, this is it. Definitely coming back.

Yes! Finally a Mexican place in the Boise area that I can rate 5-stars. This is no "Sysco…read moreMexican" place where sitting down means you get a basket of chips and saucers of jar salsa and pinto-lard puree. You can taste the Oaxacan and Tex-Mex origins of the food. I prefer Oaxacan over Tex-Mex. Flavorful, with depth, and leaves you wanting to come back. Service was decent as it was busy. The ambiance is more of a modern restaurant than a tacky Tijuana vomit vest. The dia de los meurtos vibe is pretty cool. Ceviche was fresh and flavorful. While I like a little white fish in it as well, their ceviche was the best I've had since spending time down in the Yucatan. The freshly prepared tortilla chips are crisp and built to scoop. Their regular salsa is very good as well. Personal taste, but I would like a little more roast on the peppers for a deeper flavor. You know, like you get when peppers are directly placed on hot coals to roast. The birria flautas were crispy and the meat was spot on in terms of flavor and perfectly cooked pork. I had a couple bites of the surf and turf tacos - bam! So good. Their home cooked churros with the churro fried ice cream were absolutely perfect. The ice cream coating, I would give 4-stars as the exterior was a bit chewy in texture for me. It was almost as if there oats used to hold it together. Yeah, we'll be back.

We were able to enjoy their tacos at Powderhaus Brewing in Garden City. Always expect the line to be long. They have a strong following of dedicated customers. Bring some friends, so you have someone to talk to while you wait. :) I'm a huge fan of tacos, and have been for a long time, so I've tried a LOT of tacos. We ordered all one of each of these tacos. They were all well-enjoyed, and I especially like their carne asada taco, snd I believe others at the table liked the smoked pork tacos too. The jalapeño poppers were pretty spicy, so try at your own risk. We like the salsas, but not a fan of the queso. Honestly, with how they use fresh ingredients, smoke their own meat, offering high-quality food, made with care about how they prepare it, I highly recommend them, but waiting in line for more than an hour can be a deal breaker for me, unless I'm in a group with a drink in my hand!

My wife ordered a chile rellano and an enchilda. I ordered camarones diabla, one of my favorite dishes. My wife had a coke and I had water. My wife really enjoyed her food, and there was plenty of it, as she brought some home. In my dish, the shrimp were nice and plump, which was great, and the sauce was flavorful, though not as good as at another place I frequent. There were small pieces of mushroom, but there were also a lot of strips of onion, which I'm not a fan of. Just my personal taste. They charge $3.50 for a soda, and for that price, my wife asked for a refill to go. She thought our server was perhaps a bit displeased that she made this request, but we feel that it is reasonable, given the price tag for soda that comes from a machine. All in all, we enjoyed our experience at La Cabanita, and will return, we happen to be in the area (we live in Star).
