It is really good for cheap fruit and veg, with a massive display outside. The apricots, cherries and plums looked delicious whilst I was browsing. The prices are really low, especially if you buy in bulk. They sell some small household electrical items as well as everything else you could want from a small supermarket.

It is quite a sweet little shop, with pink and white candy stripes and wooden shelves lined with jars of appetising goodies and treats. The also sell ice "fruit" slushies - I use the inverted commas because I suspect fruit has very little to do with it. I write this review having consumed a blue raspberry flavoured one (while we are on the subject, why is raspberry always blue?). I feel pretty wired and it was only 60p! Cheaper than an espresso, a can of Red Bull or, even, a can of Blue Charge! The lady who served me was really friendly and had good hair.

The staff are very friendly and the prices of the produce very good - certainly cheaper than any nearby Supermarket. Unlike a Supermarket, you can expect the odd bit of dirt on your potatoes, and perhaps a slightly bend to your Carrots here, but you can't beat the price and I for one enjoy shopping at a local business.

The main thing to focus on though is the price - maybe its after a lifetime of shopping at Waitrose and Marks or relying on my allotment for food (although with the latter this largely consisted of courgettes - I can't look at a marrow these days without feeling a bit sick), but boy are they cheap and unlike some of the stuff in Waitrose which is a bit sparkly and perfect looking a lot of this stuff comes covered in dirt and grit which I rather like. As well as really reasonably priced veg and fruit they stock a nice range of pickles and sauces and bags of nuts and Bombay mix. Outside you'll find cut flowers. Staff are friendly and the shop itself seems a popular haunt for the good people of Weoley Castle.

I especially find the george range of clothes very good value and can easily while away an hour looking throught the excellent range of clothing thet have to offer.

The fresh fruit and veg section normally is very empty and therest of the store is the same. Although the prices are low it would be better if the shelves were stocked. There are however always plenty of checkouts open and you never have to queue to get out.
