Unfortunately, it was just an OK dining experience here for me. Nothing really was terribly bad, but it wasn't that great, either.
After hiking around the lake for about one and one half hours in the late morning, I was getting hungry for lunch. When we arrived here it was about lunchtime, and there was no other folks eating here. That may have been a sign that things weren't going to turn out too well.
My choice of hamburger had an interesting (in a good way) bun, and meat was well-done and very dry. Potato fries were OK with some seasoning. Fitnesssalat--"Healthy" salad that my wife ordered had some good ingredients and tasted fresh. She wished it had more traditional Bavarian pickled vegetables. Chicken nuggets were OK.
There were several traditional Franconian dishes like schäuferle, schweinbraten and schnitzel on the menu boards. Perhaps I should've tried one of them, but they probably weren't that great judging from what I had to eat. Oh well, at least we tried.
