Filled with trendy wood, metal, candles and chalkboards this bar is very cool. There are a variety of tables and high tops which are hard to come by. Every time I have visited it seems to be full, but there are plenty of tables outside if it's warm enough (especially since they have heaters!). Prices aren't bad for the nice location Bokaal offers. A large Heineken will set you back about 5 euros, which is a good price for being located in the heart of Rotterdam. Beyond just the drinks, they have a decent selection of food which all looked nice, but I didn't get the chance to try. About ten beers on tap that all come in their own branded glass which is a nice touch so you can tell what people are drinking. Also a selection of liquor and bottled beverages to choose from.

It was decidedly more quiet and I grabbed a seat at the bar and got some recommendations from the bartender. Their beer selection is indeed top-notch. They had 10 taps and oh so many bottles. I asked for a local beer and got a deliciously dark and creamy Bax Bier Koud Vuur. Also had another beer that I don't recall. Not very helpful, I know. All in all, if you want to visit this place, go off-hours and not when everyone's trying to rage. That way, you can ask questions about beers and chill out instead of fighting your way to the bar.
