Hands down the best bike shop around. The guys (and girls) in there actually know what they are talking about. They are super helpful and knowledgeable. I also really liked how is all the questions we were having with them when they were not 100% sure about something, instead of making it up or pretending, they said effectively, I think the answer is this but let me double check so I don't quote you the wrong battery life or wait on the bike car rack. Also, this location is their 'clearance center' so everything is seemingly on sale and it is huge so they have everything ad have a huge service and maintenance area which I think i probably becoming a bigger and bigger deal as more people are going to pedal assist e-bikes which is what we did. Generally we ride pretty flat areas but if we are riding hills or going a long way the pedal assist ebike is really nice. You don't have to use it but it allows people of different levels to go on rides together and lets you not have to avoid longer or harder rides because you know you can turn on the pedal assist if you want or need to. Lastly, they folks there make sure you know the features of whatever you are buying. It isn't a take it home and go on the internet or dive into the manual, even though you can always do that. They actually walk you through how it works and also say to come back in anytime with questions. Totally a lost art in service that it is cool to see still exists in some places. read more

I have been buying Trek bikes for 8 years and have been working with the Hurst store for a couple of years. The staff are all excellent and the manager Jason bends over backwards to help customers. A couple of years ago I needed a replacement trunk bag for my old bike rack and Jason found the last on in the US in NYC and got it here for me in a week. This year I rode over 7,000 miles and always do the Trek Century challenge, so I have a lot of service work done. Tires twice a year, not to mention chains, cassettes, and tune ups; so I'm very familiar with the service department. They are honest and incredibly skilled at everything they do. They're also very friendly and helpful, something that is often lacking in bike shops. After 4 years and 20K miles I finally had to replace my trusty 2019 Marlin 7. I got a great deal on a new Marlin 7 and at Jasons recommendation had the standard chain ring replaced with a larger one. It's perfect for endurance training with plenty of top end and lots of torque in the low end. The bike is amazing and I'm looking forward to years of service from the bike and the Trek shop in Hurst! read more

Expecting to find a small storefront bike shop, I was surprised to walk up to this very large bicycle *emporium* that appears to occupy a former grocery store in this strip center on the corner of Harwood and Norwood in Hurst. Bicycles Inc. is a one stop shop for all things bicycle. The inside is open, clean, and well-organized. A repair shop is located inside the store, on the long wall where the repair guys are easily accessible for questions. By the helmets is a small amount of seating, which I found helpful while waiting for a staffer to look in the back for something for me. The name of the place sounds like a bike store from a 1930's cartoon. But, nothing about the service, stock, or repair shop is out of date. I came looking for a fender for a bike that a family member had bought at another location. They were able to look him up by name to make sure I found a fender that fit the bike. The staff member who assisted me was wonderful, explaining things and showing me where to find what I needed. When I settled on a helmet, it turned out to be on sale, even though it wasn't marked so, which brought me in under my gift budget. Win! Therefore, Trek Bicycles Hurst is being rated only on what they are now and what the current economy has available. They are only Trek and Trek based accessories. They have those products. The staff is excellent, they are experienced at this location. The products are high quality - I have 3 Trek bicycles and multiple components. They are doing what they represent therefore they get a 5. Now, based on overall what I expect in a bicycle shop: In addition to the 3 Trek bicycles, we have 3 Specialized and 1 Maruishi. In the past, we have placed 6 working condition - Walmart bicycles at the curb since they were not worth giving to someone we liked. Trek Hurst has only one brand, you cannot compare to other brands that fit you better physically or financially. Because of the "demand" over the past year for bicycles, there is a limited offering of styles and makes of bicycle. You will not be able to compare steel, aluminum, carbon, titanium bikes or a variety of components. They do have a good supply of starter bikes around the $500 range. They have an enormous supply of "electric motorcycles" for those who really are not cycling but want to look like they are. An aside note: Those bikes should be prohibited on the public bike trails since they are motorized. I have seen too many chubby bunnies zoom past young children on these motor assisted bicycles. I did not see a selection of bikes for the avid cyclist. Most of the good bikes I saw were not affordable or desirable to Joe Cyclist, the typical bicycle enthusiast. I did not see a supply of support products you will need for maintaining and accessorizing your bicycle. The intention of my visit was to buy a couple of sets of clips for 2 of my bicycles and check out the new shop. I left without buying anything. Conclusion: I will try to take the bicycles I purchased through Bicycles Inc. for regular maintenance. I will be forced to look elsewhere for component support and other products. read more

I bought my trek back in Salt Lake City, Utah, I have just recently moved to the Fort Worth area. I've been to the track bike shop twice now and have been blown away by the service. The first visit I just needed some new grips ended up walking away with a couple different things that I didn't know I needed, they never sold me anything I didn't need, and I always walking away with an awesome decal from my bike. However, the second time I visited the store I was in the worst mood ever because someone tried to steal my bike off of my car, and I thought my bike was ruined. they doctored my bike up in record timing. I have been to TREK only a couple of times, and each time, they have been very professional, friendly, and eager to assist. Recently, they went above and beyond. My grandson received a bicycle for Christmas (not purchased at TREK).The handlebars kept slipping. I took the bike in to TREK, and they attempted a simple fix. They did this without an appointment, phone call or anything prior to my arrival. They just tried to help. Unfortunately, the bicycle broke again, so I returned. I was expecting to have to leave the bicycle. They said that they had a better idea of the issue, and immediately a tech began working on it. I was there about 30 minutes. The bike was fixed. Again, they would not accept payment, saying that they wanted to make a Christmas present right. It was awesome. The folks at TREK are phenomenal, and they will have all of my bicycle business from now on. read more

Most bicycle shops include one of many personalities: A) The hardcore trail rider that knows everything but shares no information. B) A know-it-all that keeps on talking and will not shut up. C) A used car salesman type and/or D) a warm body. We got none of the above. My fiancee and I came in looking for mountain bikes and was greeted within 5 minutes. The person that eventually became our salesperson talked with us 3 separate times before he actually stopped to offer help. At first, he was busy running bikes around. I'm assuming he saw that we needed help and stopped. He talked to us in very basic buying terms which led me to believe it was the used car salesman coming out. However, after I displayed some knowledge about bike parts, he warmed up quickly and our buying experience went smooth. I got a Trek 3700 and my fiancee chose Specialized for her bike. Our salesperson Ricky, explained to us about the wires loosening up over the coming weeks and to bring both bikes in as soon as that happened. Overall a good experience. The shop is massive and the selection is wonderful. Bike clubs meet here and hang around to chit chat. I also saw a good amount of families as well. After the sale was rung out, Ricky genuinely thanked us for the business and even walked out my fiancee's bike to the car. A pleasant experience and a returned visit for more bike toys in the future! read more

I thought about my most recent bike shop experiences. I questioned if maybe I was being to harsh on the two local bike shops I visited last week. So I decided to take a look at the website for Bicycles Inc. In Mid-Cities. This is the first shop I visited. The employee from Bicycles Inc. said they didn't have the part I needed before even looking at what I had in my hand. When I asked about ordering the part, they said they couldn't help me. A little while ago I found the exact part i needed on their website. For two thirds of what I expected to pay. A little while ago I ordered the part I needed from Wheels Manufacturing. I paid about half of what I expected, and the part is coming directly to my door. took my bike in for a brake bleed. They called me later saying that I had a huge chunk missing from my brake pad and it needed replacing. I asked if they could just bleed the brakes. "Oh NO" Its a safety issue, and they would not be able to test it. I said do nothing and I picked it up. I have changed many brake pads, and when I got there, I was surprised to see the brake pad only had a tiny area of damage, was perfectly functional. I took it to another place that did the bleed and said the brake pad was "in spec" = fine. I wont be going back to Trek. read more

I brought in my Specialized road bike and it needed about $300 worth of work to get it up and running for the season. After weighing my options, I found a new bike with a few more features that I wanted to buy instead of investing more into my old bike. The technician I was dealing with quoted me a trade in price of $312 for my old bike before I started looking around. Once I decided to do the trade in and purchase the $1800 new bike, another employee quoted me a much lower price for my trade in. That's when I felt like I was on a used car lot. He had to go speak with his manager and it took forever. I was waiting there ready to spend a significant amount of money with them and the salesperson and his manager were laughing and messing around. Once they finally realized I was growing impatient, the salesperson came by to tell me they were working on an offer for my trade in. I told them that the $312 offer was the one that "sold" me on the new bike purchase and if they couldn't do that, I was out. They continued their joking and laughing so I grabbed my old bike and left. They have awful customer service and all of their equipment and services are way overpriced. I miss the old ownership. I bought all of my bikes and gear there and had all my services done there and they were very friendly and fair. These new people are terrible. I'll drive the extra miles to find a new bike shop because they aren't getting anything else from me. Beware. read more

A while back I decided out of the blue to do a triathlon and bought an old used bike from a friend who wanted to get rid of her bike and was hurting for money. I've been to a few different bike shops in the area and Bicycles Inc is definitely my favorite. The shop is huge but the staff are all very attentive, friendly and helpful in every department. When I went in to have my bike worked on, Tim was awesome. He fixed my bike, gave me pointers and a mini lesson and then walked me through the clothes and accessories. I started going on the weekly rides. The first ride I rolled up in my car right as they were rolling out on their bikes, but one of the ride leaders, Rick, waited for me and then took me on a route adjusted to my fitness ability as a newbie rider on my first road bike ride. He also gave me lots of tips. On the following rides I met many other people in the bicycling community through the group rides. There was even a guy at the group ride who went running with me after the rides to help me get in my brick training. Turned out that used bike was too big for me, they adjusted it as much as possible and gave me advice on what were possible things I may consider to maintenance on the old bike with the costs and levels of importance. After a few weeks, for safety reasons I gave my bike to my big brother and bought a new bike. They had a great selection, helped me find a bike that was within my budget, fitted me to it and taught me how to fix a flat, care for my bike, and warned me of things not to do. They were receptive to all of my questions. 6 cm smaller, riding my new bike was like a dream and so much safer. The shop is a great place to find a new or used bike and ALL of the accessories: clothes, nutrition, safety things, gps, even car racks. Plus it is a great place to meet other bicycle people to ride with. read more

This shop could not be more accommodating! Short review: Love love love this store; skilled , hospitable AND pleasant staff. The pricing was very very reasonable... for labor and parts! I picked up a tiny thorn in my tire and sadly I have not a clue how to change my tire tubes. I showed up before they were open hoping to be first in line in order salvage a bike riding day by getting a tube change. They not only welcomed this little old lady into the store before the posted hours , but the sales person was as pleasant and helpful as anyone would expect. He set me right up with ANOTHER talented , customer centered staff person ! Not only did this young man expertly and swiftly replace both the tubes, he did this while engaging in pleasant conversation and recommending a good ride for me. I waited in line outside, asked if they had any mountain bikes available, he said $3,000 was the starting price just to get me to leave. I got my bike assembled by these guys because the ones pre assembled at Walmart are done half you know what. They did such a a good job that it felt like it was twice the quality of bikes I've had before in the same price range. Then a couple weeks later I got a flat tire. I called the guys to see if they could help me out, and they told me to come on in and that they would take care of me. And they did just that. My bike is my mode of transportation and without them I would've been in trouble. This store and the people in it are A1. Couldn't be more thankful. read more

Amazing customer service led to purchase of a bike on the same day! I am a total bicycle newbie and walked into the store with no idea what I was looking for. Ricky greeted us and walked me step by step through all the features of a bike and recommended a fitness hybrid that was one of the cheapest they offered, but still pricier than what I had initially expected. We drove to nearby Dicks to try to compare, but quickly realized that Dicks does not even carry the same premium brands that this store does, and the Dicks sales rep had about as much knowledge about bikes as I did (which is to say, zero). We went straight back to bicycles, inc and I test drove two different models to compare, and even re-tried the first one to be sure. I decided on that model, and Ricky continued to help us through the checkout process with patience and friendliness, giving us a complimentary kickstand and even helping us load the bike into the car.
