He took a $3500 down payment and did a fraction of the work that he was tasked with doing. Now he won't answer her calls or texts. I am currently in the process of filing a small claims court case against this scammer on her behalf. It took him two years to finally respond thanks to a Yelp review and now he is saying that he doesn't know anything about her. Do not pay him all up front like he made my mom do. Here are my mom's words exactly, "I paid him $3500 to stain my kitchen cabinets. He only did like six and they didn't even match. He said he would paint all my air vents and ruined them and replaced them with plastic ones. I found some that may be as good as the ones he never brought back that were $725 when I looked two years ago. He also put a big cut in the bathroom ceiling that cost me $575 to fix. So I guess that's $4800." I provided Mitch with my mom's info in a private Yelp message (which he has yet to respond to) and will change this review once he makes things right with my mom. If you are thinking of hiring this lowlife, be warned that he is known to take advantage of women.

Please save yourself the disappointment and your wallet and find another painter. I interviewed…read moreMike 2 times before hiring him to paint my entire home (walls, trim and interior doors) and cabinetry. He interviewed as a very kind and knowledgeable professional. However once payment was made his tone turned to condescending and impatient. We were living out of state when he painted our home and I made the huge mistake of paying him before seeing the work with my own eyes. He had sent pictures that looked great. In actuality the work was very poor. Here's what I found - vertical roller lines on every wall from where they used the roller. They look AWFUL! -wall damages (dents, holes) were just painted over and not patched. --most of my cabinets had chipped paint or thin paint where you could still see the color underneath or missed areas from misplacing the painters tape. -paint splattered on walls -paint on most of my tile, counters I asked him to return to go over these concerns. He agreed that the walls looked streaky and uneven but then proceeded to blame the builder saying the wall finish was applied unevenly. Which is impossible because my walls looked perfectly smooth before he painted. I suggested that maybe a different painting technique would stop the lines, I had always heard you should paint in a V stroke to backroll over roller marks. He said that wouldn't help. But his painter obliged and repainted one wall in that technique and surprise, surprise the roller lines were gone. I asked him to return to repaint the remaining walls and he refused to fix his poor paint job and said I was difficult and unappeasable. He wanted to charge me additionally to repaint his poor work. He stated that his work was perfect even though earlier he acknowledged the walls were streaky. It's very disheartening that someone could have such low character to take someone's money and do a poor job. Mike cares nothing for his customer's satisfaction. His workers do not respect your home and will not clean up after themselves in your bathrooms and will not clean up spilled or sprayed paint on your floors, counters, etc. Your house will be a mess after they are done. I've since read similar complaints online, and I'm annoyed with myself that I did not do more research on him before hiring him.

If you are considering hiring Michael Melloh Company, do not make the mistake I did. They took my…read moremoney, performed sub-par and rushed work, ruined my ceiling finish, and completely abandoned the job when called out on it. They operate with zero professional ethics, zero accountability, and zero basic human courtesy. At first Michael was very responsive. He promised to come the same day I called, then failed to show up, blaming a truck issue and scaffolding keys. The next morning, they promised to arrive at 9:00 AM. They failed to show again, making excuses about scaffolding rentals. They finally arrived at 12pm--3 hours late on a job that was already delayed by a full day. Three crew members arrived, but only one individual actually worked on the ceiling. The other two stood around doing nothing for hours. One worker even left the job site for personal reasons for several hours while the single remaining worker rushed through the repair. Drywall repair requires proper drying time between taping, mudding, sanding, texturing, and painting. Instead of returning the following day to allow the materials to dry properly, they rushed the entire process in a few hours late at night. They worked until 11:00 PM in dim room lighting. I had already expressed my concern saying that the lighting was poor and it was hard to see any defaults during this time. The next morning in daylight, the terrible quality was obvious: 1. The ceiling was not sanded. 2. The texture was completely wrong and unevenly applied. 3. Tarps were installed improperly, leaving a mess. They explicitly promised to come back and correct any issues once seen in daylight. When I contacted them with photos of the defects, they delayed and canceled on me three separate times with more excuses. Eventually, they simply stopped responding altogether. They are reading my messages and deliberately ignoring them rather than correcting their work. What makes this behavior truly disgraceful is that my husband had just suffered a catastrophic 25-foot fall through the ceiling and was in critical care at the hospital. Michael and his team were fully aware of this crisis and knew I was constantly traveling back and forth to the hospital while trying to manage this repair. Rather than showing basic consideration or executing the job properly, they took advantage of a family in a crisis, did unacceptable work, and walked away with our money. This is not just about a bad experience. This is about paying for work that was not properly completed and then being ignored when asking the company to stand behind its work. At least have the decency and respond to my text messages Michael! This company lacks professionalism, skill, and integrity. Do not trust them with your home or your money. I would think twice and make sure you are comfortable with the possibility of being left with unfinished or unacceptable work and no response afterward. Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend Michael Melloh Company. I would not hire them again.
