I loved that the ground floor is dedicated to kids, making it very welcoming for families, while the upper floors remain quiet and perfect for studying. If you're looking for a place to be productive, OBA Oosterdok is it. It's massive (7 floors!) so you can almost always find a corner to settle into. They've clearly thought about modern needs: ample power outlets, tons of desk space, and fast, free Wi-Fi. Once you're done working, head upstairs to the cafe. The outdoor space offers one of the best views of the city center you can find. Truly a gem of a public space!

In addition to books and other such library items, they also have a really good setup of tables and couches and free wifi if you're looking for a quiet place in the centre of the city to study or work for a few hours. I came here because I had a couple of hours to kill and some work to get done on my computer, and I didn't feel like paying for endless cups of coffee in a cafe. I snagged a spot at a table, easily connected to the free wifi, and got to work! Since I don't live in The Hague, this is the most useful purpose of the building for me. However, I'm sure it's also a great library for borrowing books!!!!!

Muntpunt has an extensive collection of books of all genres. But day passes are available as well. There are multiple spaces that fit different needs: there's the computer room on the 3rd where you can use the computers till 7.30 pm. On the 5th floor there's the study room: you can go there to study. There are little nooks where you can sit comfortably by yourself or in group, if you need more space for yourself. The staff is very friendly, very welcoming and always ready to help. The library is huge but there's staff walking around, so you'll always be able to ask for help. Besides the normal library services, Muntpunt organises events almost daily and the are open on Saturday. I'd love it they opened on Sunday as well. And wouldn't it be great to open the library till the late night? There's students who would love this!

Loved the one about getting netherlanders to have more babies, and the "average face"- and all the other exhibits. Quite fun. Loved the cafe too!!! Oh my goodness- the Mezze platter was fantastic! More than enough food for two- I am including a picture. LOVE LOVE LOVE the food at the Nieuwe Cafe! Entry to the museum is free with the museum card- but you don't have to go into the museum (or "institute") to enjoy the great cafe!

If you have found your book, you can sit everywhere in the relaxing places or tables with chairs places.
