He made it sound like the only option. What he did not do was tell me what it would really mean. He did not explain the consequences. He did not walk me through what I was giving up. He did not tell me that signing it would destroy my ability to work, my livelihood, my future. I trusted him. I signed. I did not find out what I had actually agreed to until it was too late. By then, my license was gone. My career was gone. Everything I had built for fifteen years gone. Because I trusted someone who did not fully inform me before I put my name on that line. I am not a lawyer, but I know I asked him questions and did not get real answers. I know he pushed me toward a decision without giving me the full picture. I know I walked out of that room thinking I had made the right choice. I spent every day since watching my life fall apart because of it. I feel stupid for trusting him. I feel sick when I think about that day. When you start your career with the Board, it is no surprise he is ending it on the other side of the Board. That is not a coincidence. That is a pattern. If you hire him, do not assume he has your best interests at heart. Read everything yourself. Ask every question. Do not sign anything until you fully understand what you are losing. Because once it is done, there is no going back. I trusted him. He failed me. I will never forgive myself for believing him. He knew exactly what he was doing. He knew exactly what I was losing. He just did not care. Luckily, my new attorney is the exact opposite.
