Sometimes there are a lot of kids, sometimes not so much. There isn't shade near the playground. The bathrooms can get a little sketch. Of course never send your kids in there by themselves. But we have never had any issues or have felt unsafe at the park. There's limited parking right in front of the park, but you can always park on the other side of the street. Oh and there are ice cream trucks that roll through often if you want a treat.

They all go an opportunity to pitch, catch, play infield and outfield. It's been a great place for our family. Games in Spring season are mostly Saturday with a few on Wednesday and practices once or twice a week. They have batting cages in site available to all their players. We look forward to going to practices and seeing our teammates. Everyone has been very kind and friendly. I tell my friends who have kids who want to play to join us at North Vally.

I saw people were playing basketball at the court, tennis in the tennis court and other people were just walking their dog. This park has a pool as well but I think it was closed because the pool was drained. This is a nice big and relaxing park in Northridge.

We signed up our son for Northridge spring soccer league. The soccer game started last Saturday 4/4. However, after attending the soccer evaluations early last month, we never heard from a coach and do not know who his coach is, what team he is on or when the games are scheduled. We tried emailing Jason Gianni twice for this information, but never received a response. My husband called the rec center and all they can provide is the email to Dwayne Finley, the Senior Recreation Director. We emailed him twice and we still haven't heard from him. I called Northridge Rec Center three times today and no one answers. At this point, with their lack of care and consideration, we want a refund. And trying to get our money back has been so frustrating!! They rob my son of the opportunity to play soccer then they literally rob us! Be warned if you sign up for any of their leagues.

Plentiful shade around the fields from trees that can help provide shade if needed. No sights of any homeless or loitering that some parks struggle with. There's a large building with multiple bathroom stalls. Soccer fields are artificial turf so there's ground rules on what's allowed inside. Chairs I believe aren't allowed. Had lots of fun here!!! I made sure my dog did its business on the real grass outside of the fenced soccer fields. Spotted a gopher in a hole too! Overall a nice place to go to for soccer, a safe walk, and to rest or hangout. There are many games playing simultaneously and many supporters and players walking around. The soccer field uses turf and there is a large shaded seating area on the sideline to watch the game. There are private public restrooms and food vendors everywhere.

Everything in the perimeter of Balboa to Burbank to Woodley to Victory is referred to by a…read moredifferent name but we find ourselves here for outdoor activity. It's usually fairly calm when we begin our workouts in this area, the fields are empty and quiet. It's peaceful and the solitude is tranquil. I assume when many matches, games, practices etc are taking place the vibe is different. My son loves this area while I don't typically gravitate towards it much anymore, unless I'm with him. I've grown quite comfy heading right out my front door for upwards of 20mile runs (with out and back routes) but I used to like lapping a place several times. I just don't see the point in driving a car to a place to do what I can do from home. I'd almost rather run here from my neighborhood do a lap or two and run home but I don't typically run West of home. My son and I spend time together here, whether it be running or taking 7-15mile walks (he rucks carrying anywhere from 35-55lbs and I'll typically carry about 20 ounces of water ;) when I go along on these with him. It's a nice area and it gets the job done. I enjoy our time here, its a sensory and pavement change from some of my other routes and we cover a decent amount of ground in one lap (a little over 7miles). If you are looking for a place to get out and long run or walk for hours in a certain area with very few traffic lights I recommend it. It's also a lovely area to just toss out a blanket to meditate, enjoy a meal, stretch or read a book. While there's a ton of greenery and trees there are spots of heavy exposure, so always wear a hat or sunscreen and bring water if you require it. Bathrooms are scarce. Parking is plentiful.
