Even more surprising is how l've been treated as a customer. I reached out to lla Yoga after purchasing 10 classes that I was unable to use all year due to pregnancy complications. I was told to reach out to them closer to when the classes expire. I will be unable to use the classes in the timeframe I was finally provided with upon reaching out to them yet again, and was told that it was far outside of their policy to continue pass extensions for scheduling conflicts, and that they hope I can be "understanding and respectful" as they are a small business. I cannot think of any other business that uses that wording in their stock reply to customers. Yes, they labeled pregnancy a "scheduling conflict". They use their small business status as an excuse for greed and poor customer service.

The woman at the counter (whose name I did not get) was very kind, and the instructor, Jessie, led a very stress-free class where I felt able to go at my own pace and within my limits. The studio seems to have a strong sense of community, with regulars having a star chart on the wall and socializing after the session. The session itself was excellent, and while I shan't be returning (this will likely be the one time I ever visit the truly cool city of Wanatchee), it seems like a great spot for people who have ambitions to practice hot yoga, as well as the ones who already do.
