The DJs were punctual and very nice. The price for the amount of time was extremely fair, but they did not play the type of music that my daughter specifically asked for. We approached to try to clarify many, many times. At least four of my daughter's friends tried to explain the types of songs that they wanted to dance to and specific artists that they wanted to no avail. When we asked for more upbeat music, they just sped up the songs that the kids requested to hear. My daughter's boyfriend had to ask for them to play it at normal speed. During the party her boyfriend told me that they didn't want to even bother to dance anymore because they weren't getting their music. Also, I also later found out that my daughter was a bit embarrassed when they played YMCA because it was a Sweet 16. She and her friends went along but they thought it was not right for the type of party. They continuiously asked for a specific type of music and specific artists but did not get those types of songs. Also, I was hoping that the DJ would hype the crowd but it never really happened. My daughter said that the only one hyped by the music was the DJ himself because he appeared to be having a great time behind the booth. I was assured that the DJ was familiar with the artists and type of music so that they could put together a good playlist. Instead, I was told during the party that I normally would have been paying extra money for individual requests. Why would a DJ charge for special requests? Isn't that part of the job, to let the guests request music that they like? That's not included in the costs? And, isn't it part of the job to make a playlist that reflects the type of music that the partygoers like when notified I advance? I repeatedly expressed my concern because many of the kids were just sitting at tables and I was told that they were probably tired because they had just eaten cake. My daughter said that she was pretty stressed during the party because she felt like she spent too much time trying direct them about the music. I also spent a lot of time there. Overall, the guys were nice, don't get me wrong, but they need to listen to the customers more. They should also try to hype the crowd when the dance floor is empty and possibly try to figure out why. This would be great especially when they have teenagers. I would suggest that you be very, very specific about the music that needs to be played. We felt like we were, but I guess it wasn't enough so I don't think that I would hire them again. read more
