I had lost my family dentist due to an accident my prior Dr. suffered skiing several years ago. I then bounced around from dentist the dentist trying to find the right one. Unfortunately for over five years I was unable to find that right dentist until. I found Eagle Valley Dental and Dr. Javan. One consequence of not having a family dentist for that long was I need a lot of dental work. I can't remember the exact number of cavities I had after that first appointment. What I do remember is an amazing dentist who walked me through several treatments, multiple fillings, an extraction, two root canals and two crowns. I'm nothing but thrilled with the quality of care and repairs that were made to my teeth by Dr. Javan. She has helped restore my faith in medicine and helped me to better understand what a great doctor is supposed to be. I now have a family dentist for life.

Im a 35 year RN and something is very off with this guy. I decided to walk out of his chair when he said "Ill do a root canal but I dont know if its the right tooth" ummm what???? He also said that taking 800mg of advil was too much instead of recognizing that meant I was in significant pain ( along with 1gm of tylenol and 20mg of oxycodone) he was more concerned that my liver would go bad.( that is not gonna happen from a couple doses of advil buddy) He acted like I WANTED a root canal. She said if I continued having pain to return in a couple of months. It was clear that same day that the problem was not resolved. I didn't want to wait a couple months so I found a different dentist. He made 4 adjustments over the period of a year, and I continued to have pain. Finally, he said he needed to remove the crown to see what was going on. It turned out that Dr. Franco had left decay under the crown. The tooth was very irritated so he put a temporary on with the hope it would quiet down. It did not. Ultimately, he had to pull it. I wrote to Dr Franco and asked her to return the money that I had paid for the crown, and to pay to replace the tooth. She returned the money for the crown, but she did not pay to replace the tooth. The letter she sent with the refund said "as a courtesy" she was refunding the money. No apology, no acknowledgment of the decay she left under the crown, and no acknowledgment that I lost the tooth.

Long story short, money-hungry, impersonable, and immature…read more Was recommended Moldrem by my insurance provider because they testified to my insurance that they could accommodate my allergies. Scheduled an initial intake at the Lakeville location and things went smoothly. Met with Dr. Molldrem and he was keen on everyone getting 'paid what they were owed' in the context of my insurance lowballing him. Mind you, the staff drive luxury SUVs and they have TWO locations. Several MONTHS later I have my teeth cleaning and not only could they not accommodate my allergies, they never had the intent to. Furthermore, they refused to coordinate care between me and my Medical Doctor to figure out appropriate treatment based on my Dr.'s medical orders. I asked politely to receive updates within the week regarding sussing out my treatment plan and they told me to get lost. I asked for recommendations on who else to go to if they couldn't get the job done and they told me to check with my insurance (HAH!). So here I am without any of the treatments they had agreed to help me work through. I called to file a complaint and the Eden Prairie location told me that this all had 'nothing to do with their professionalism' and that 'if I was unhappy with my care I could always find someone else'. I would say that treating me like a burden because I'm not filthy rich is a professionalism issue but whatever. Don't go here unless you love feeling awful.

My experience was an expensive downward slope from the start…read more I went here for 4 years. At first it seemed procedural but it was not long until they started offering expensive services like mouth guards for night botox to stop teeth grinding. It felt like scare sales tactics every time i went in. I eventually got two new crowns after some visits and genuinely thinking they were necessary. Both of them popped out in less than a year. I called the office to see what they could do. They said I would have to pay for it all over again and laughed at me telling me there is no warranty on crowns. This was after the office people talked to Dr. Molldrem and called me back. I already got one redone and have to do the other soon. I have to pay for the crowns twice! UPDATE because I almost forgot about the random $1,000 bill i got after i thought I was all paid up because, for (1) they messed up the insurance calculation on the crowns and for (2) they couldn't figure my insurance out for the teeth cleaning (which I had) that could have been resolved had THEY not waited so long.
