One day I went in to have him fix a filling (he claimed was not one he did) before he did anything he had me go to his office and he basically yelled at me for not paying my bill. Well we paid every month and his bookkeeper applied our payment to my family and not my account . Well I can't control what his staff does with the payment. He had me so humiliated and feeling like a child I just wanted to crawl in to a corner and disappear.. 3. I found out from the state that he was suppose to send the bill to medical assistance (I was on ma at the time) But he got paid more by my other insurance so he didn't send it through ma. That is fine but he can't charge me for the difference that insurance don't pay because he knew I had MA when I 1st started going to him. I have returned with continued problems and recieved no charge work in attempt to correct their mistake and even had the entire filling taken out and replaced because it was so badly done the first time by Dr. Johnson. Dr. Johnson has messed up 2 of my previous fillings in the past as well. He also worked on me when I indicated I was in a lot of pain and not fully numb, and I informed them of my connective tissue disease causing me to typically require more local anesthetic than people without my disease. He didn't listen to me and it hurt so badly. He was very rude and had terrible bed side manner. I tried to see other dentist there for the correction without any luck. The front desk people and the people who collect payments are also extremely rude, do not know how to politely adress patients, fact check before they speak,!and do not respect patient privacy. They have also several times assured me my insurance will cover a service and pay nothing when I am walking out the door only to recieve a bill in the mail for the same service they claimed was covered. They're predatory. They tried making me schedule a correction for filling they messed up with a new filling only so I would have to pay them instead of fixing the one tooth at no charge like they should have and refused to do so and rescheduled my appointment for the work twice on the singular tooth they messed up, because they would only do it if I paid more to have another one done at the same time. Lastly; they offer you a cookie every time you go which is extremely backwards for a dentist office, wouldn't you want your patients to avoid sugar loaded foods that harm their teeth that you're trying to fix? They're all about money they do not care about their patients.

I was first told I needed a cleaning, then a gingivitis protocol (3 appointments) - though an outside dentist confirmed I never had gingivitis. Then I was told they couldn't use composite, so I'd need a crown. Then I was told before I could get crowns, I needed to straighten a SINGLE UNRELATED bottom tooth with motto liners - another $3,000. Then I was told I should whiten my teeth before crowns - another $500. THEN I was told I should get two crowns instead of one so my front teeth match - another $4,500. I was very explicit about wanting crowns 1 mm longer than my original front teeth (time had eroded their height significantly). My dentist told me to 'be picky' with the crowns. When they showed me my crowns, they were even smaller than my original teeth. I again asked for them to be made slightly longer, but my dentist declined/said he couldn't do that. AFTER placing the crowns, I was informed that I should not bite crunchy things (apples, carrots) with my front teeth - ever. I wish I would've known that before I got them. So, after a year and over $8,000, I have crowned front teeth that look smaller and much worse than the teeth I originally wanted fixed.

If you advertise emergency dental services, patients should not be denied when they show up with insurance and an appointment. Waiting days for an emergency visit only to be refused at the door is unacceptable. If this clinic cannot actually handle emergency cases, they should remove "emergency dental" from their website instead of advertising a service they are not prepared to provide.
