This pink themed boutique sells clothing and colorful, whimsical accessories. I especially loved the bags and sunglasses. They also upcycle vintage and thrifted items into one of a kind statement pieces. In the back they have an event room where you can make your own jewelry or you can have GG custom design a signature piece for you. This store is a great addition to the shops in this area. This place is bananas. 2.99 Depot is located in the Sunrise Town Center on University. The store is…read morea cavernous space filled with tables piled with clothing for $2.99. Is it organized? not really. Is it fun to dig through? heck yeah! On the tables you will find tops and bottoms for men, women, and children. There is even more tops, bottoms, and dresses on endless racks. If you find something you like, $2.99 for name brand clothes is a pretty good deal. Some of the clothes were still in bags or had tags identifying them as coming from Target, Walmart, defunct Stein Mart, and Coldwater Creek to name just a few. They also sell sneakers, shoes, knock off perfume, mattresses, sheets, and weirdest of all endless pallets of vinyl gloves. If you ever needed an entire pallet of vinyl gloves, this is your store! There is also a dollar room with a mish mash of things including cleaning supplies. While digging through clothes I didn't see any changing rooms. One girl was walking around in her sports bra which seemed like a pretty good system for throwing tops on. It was also helpful in keeping her cool because it turns out $2.99 does not pay for air conditioning. It was hot as Hades in the store. I asked the salesperson how long the store has been open and he said a year and he's still waiting for AC. He only works one day a week. The 90 degree weather outside felt refreshing after getting out of Dante's inferno. I would have stayed longer but 15 minutes was about all I could take before the sweat in my eyes drove me out. I did manage to score a t-shirt and despite the heat it was still fun to treasure hunt. Follow 2.99depot.sunrise on Instagram to see what's new.

I bought my wife an engagement ring from Costco in early February but they no longer sold the matching wedding band. My wife and I had been searching for our wedding bands everywhere in South Florida... we went to the Galleria Mall, Aventura mall, Pembroke Lakes, you name it and we just couldn't find the right band. Either stones on the band were too big or too small or they didn't have them set in same metal which was Platinum. As for me, I wanted a custom two tone ring made with white and rose 14k gold and most places wanted to charge over $1000 to get it made. Then in September, we went to Golden bay Jewlers. At first, I was skeptical since it's located at the Festival Flea Market in Pompano, but the staff there was super friendly and Asaf was able to make my wedding band exactly the way I wanted it for under $900! In 14k gold. And to our amazement, he had a platinum band that matched my wife's engagement ring with the same size stones set in the band. He had it sized for free and it matched perfectly. We couldn't be happier. We came back 2 days before our wedding and Yaron steamed my wife's rings and the diamonds shined like brand new. Take a look at our rings. They are just perfect. Thank you to Asaf, Daniela, and Yaron. You guys really made it happen!
