I stopped in this Bevmo for some wine bottles for gift for colleagues. They were having their 5 cent sell on many wine selections, so that was good. As many Bevmo shoppers already know, Bevmo has a lot to choose from from many items. This particular location had a lot of wine in stock. I was able to find the types of wines I was looking at very good prices. This particular store is quite large. I did notice that this location did not offer a lot in the way of cheese, cured meats, and pantry items such as olives and such. They have very small section. I noticed, at mid day, this location was quite busy for the time of the day. As a result, it took a bit while I waited in line to pay. Not sure how this Bevmo has a low rating I have been here a few times now and it is so quick and everything in the store is clean and the people working there are so kind. The selection here is really awesome and it is a great way to discover new and different brands of seltzers or other canned beverages. The wine selection is where I am usually headed and I like that they have a large variety on the shelves and also have select bottles in the fridge already cold to take home. read more

This location is clean and organized. Easy to get in and out of and offer great deals on everything you see. I came in cause I needed to use the restroom. Note, beer is never owned. It's recycled lol. Selection was great. Service was quick. Came in and grabbed a few tall cans and was on my way. I'll be back again when I need my adult beverages. read more

I recently hosted a Luau themed party so I stopped by BevMo to purchase some beverages to elevate my party. BevMo had everything I needed to complete my bartending station! They have a very large selection of pre-mixed cocktails, wines, beers, tequila, whiskey, vodka, rum, etc. Everything was nicely organized and very easy to find. The price was reasonable too! At the back of the store there is a tasting area, but I guess tasting is only available at certain times/days (there wasn't a sign). I spent a good amount of time here because there were so many options to choose from. Checkout was very quick though, done in 2 minutes after I showed my ID. This is my favorite location by far. It's bigger than Mission Valley store and more selections. Friendlier employees, clean store. More room for people to shop especially with pandemic right now. Minus 1 star because their system didn't recognize our membership and I had to sign up again while we are checking out so we could get our discount price. This is a well stocked BevMo located next to Five Below, Michael's, Sprouts, and Marshall's in the Mira Mesa Mall. There is plenty of parking outside. Don't forget to download their app or bring any coupons with you. Usually you'll be able to find a $10 off $50 coupon online. Inside the liquor, mixers, wine and beer are all organized. If you're looking for the refrigerated section, it's in the back. BevMo also offers wine tastings occasionally. Although you may need to book ahead of time. This BevMo is great. The aisles are well stocked, the store is clean, and the customer service is always friendly. My husband and I come here often to take advantage of the buy one wine bottle, get the second one for $.05! We come here for the rieslings as they're hard to come by in the west coast. They also have an abundance of other liquors, drinking glasses, sake sets, bar snacks etc. Basically a one stop shop for a good time. I purchased a bottle of Tanqueray gin which the sale price shown on the shelf was marked at $24.99. When I got home I looked at my receipt and it showed they charged me the full price of $36.99, not the sale price. So I called the store manager and asked him about this and his response was the price marked on the shelf was incorrect and it was no longer on sale and there was nothing he could do about it. Wow what a change due to the Covid-19. Store didn't open till noon. There was a line outside when I got there at 11:50 am. Then I found out they were only letting one customer in at a time AND that customer has had to have placed an order online or on the phone!! I quickly called in my order for two cases of Chardonnay. Out of the 20ish BevMos I've been to, this is by far the newest, largest, and has the most selection of any BevMo. This BevMo used to be a Kohl's, so it is a really HUUUUGE building. Walking in, there are aisles everywhere. Their wine selection is the largest I've seen in a store. I'm all about the bourbon barrel aged wines and they have more selection than I've ever seen before. What I love most about this location is the selection of local craft beers! I came here on Super Bowl Sunday, thinking their inventory would be depleted, but they had everything! Not only did they have something from virtually every local brewery, but there were some beers from LA and NorCal as well. Their selection of Belgian triples and quadruples really floats my boat. Checking out was a snap with 4 cashiers ready to ring people up. I'm used to going to BevMos where there's one cashier and ten people in line. I spent about an hour in the store due so much selection but literally 2 minutes to ring up my booze. It is the only BevMo I will ever go to. So many rare finds here! 5 stars all the way! read more

Ran over to the BevMo on Mira Mesa Blvd after work....nice and convenient instead of going closer to home. The store is well kept (all of them are). Things are laid out well and makes it easy to find what your looking for. Prices are good and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Cashier Jan was so rude to me when I came in to return an item. Huge attitude about nothing, I was being super nice.

I goto BevMo in Carmel mountain and in mira mesa and today the cashier was rude and I didn't not like his tone of voice. I walked up and said hello and he cuts me off in the middle of saying hello and just straight up says "let me see your I.D." Like okay? I was going to show you it anyways, where's your manners? No customer service skills? You don't cut off a buying customer and give them an attitude unless you want a 1 star review. I didn't catch this cashiers name but he had an Afro and kept on cutting me off mid sentence when I was trying to tell him one of the shelf products was expired. I'm a frequent shopper at this location and I've never seen an ugly employee until today. My husband and I brought a bottle of Fireball and on the shelf there were two different prices for the same bottle, so when we got to the register, Alex the cashier (an Asian guy) was very nonchalant with my husband when he asked if the Fireball was a particular price due to the different prices shown on the shelf. Alex response was, "Do you want this or the plastic bottle?". I asked him if he was agitated and he said that he was and was trying not to take it out on us, he also claimed that he was the only employee available when I asked for a manager or supervisor due to his attitude. I had a gift card that was old & I went in to see if the card was still good. After several very good employees helped me, they finally determined that the card was invalid & had a $0 balance. I'm not sure why BevMo! decided to relocate from their previous location to this one but it's more in the center of Mira Mesa so for whatever other reason, it's more convenient for me. So, no complaints there. It feels like this location is a bit smaller than the previous location but I wouldn't consider it a minus. Whereas the other location was a bit sterile in my opinion, this place's decor makes it feel it a bit homier. I did not know it was store" policy" was that EVERYONE entering BevMo needed to be 21 years old and have their ID's even though they aren't purchasing ANYTHING!!!! I went into the store today with the intentions of purchasing a few items anyhow; I'm obviously over 21 and my assistant is too - 40's to be exact - well he was helping me put the things on the counter because I was getting my ID and credit card out of my purse - I showed my ID and MICHAEL the store manager also card my assistant very RUDELY if I may say- my assistant didn't bring his wallet since he WAS NOT purchasing not did he look under 21 not slightly ever!!! My assistant didn't have his ID and because of that the store MANAGER MICHAEL made a huge deal about it WHY?!!!!! I was purchasing NOT my 40 year old assistant- don't be rude about it ask nicely and don't tell people to wait outside that's RUDE and unprofessional at every level ! Have come here multiple times and to be honest, every experience has been pretty good. The staff are always super friendly and helpful, but I do get the impression that they're somewhat short staffed sometimes. Sometimes it's hard to flag down the people working on the floor, but not because they're not busy, they're always being SUPER productive either restocking or helping other customers, and always willing to help out. The prices really aren't that bad compared to your local liquor store, but their selection is always excellent, and it's fun to try out new concoctions. Happy to keep coming back. read more

This is two times in a row now that there have been ostensible system discrepancies... the latest in which was driver first claimed via text msg that the delivery time she received (1-2pm) was an hour later than the time window I'd been promised (12-1pm). But then she changed her story in person, and said the delivery time was actually the window I'd been promised. So which is it? Either way, my order was late. Probably would've been even later if I hadn't called your store to check on it. It's ass-backwards that I have to invariably resort to ordering via Drizly, who merely orders from you and uses DoorDash drivers, instead of me ordering directly from YOU.... in order to ensure competence and efficiency. I'm a longtime customer of BevMo and -- largely out of convenience -- expect to continue to be. With that out of the way, and noting that this could just as easily apply to all the other regional BevMo locations that I've seen, I can't rate them all that highly. Reasons: their selection of liqueurs (and a few other categories) really sux. It is long on the most obvious, lowest-common-denominator items that are easy to find, because EVERYONE ELSE in this business carries them. So WHY would you need to come HERE for them ? In several of those categories desired items that you came in for will too often unaccountably be Out of Stock. In several of those categories (like liqueurs, beers, etc.), a Total Wine location will have a clearly superior selection, with a lot more of the harder-to-finds, and the pricing is apt to be similar. Finally, the discount coupon offers you receive from BevMo are not nearly as good as they used to be, requiring a larger total purchase than was formerly in effect. I'll likely continue to come here for certain things, mostly when I'm just not going to be in the vicinity of Total Wine anytime soon. read more

She said if order was not called in she could not serve me! I said. There are no customers in sight. Still can't serve me. Riding a bike so didn't have phone with me. Guess they don't really need the business as a giant corporate business. Told her I would never be back. Sprouts had long line so I went to the little liquor store by Aldi's. They laughed at the foolishness of their old neighbor. Boycott the the big box stores that took millions of your money in the bailout. Shop the local Mom and Pop neighborhood stores. I made an account just to leave a review for this place. I see that there is a complete lack of courtesy. I sincerely thought about leaving a employee's name on this review to complain about them. However, I realize that leaving a name would only serve to get them possibly fired, just to go off to another store to treat more customers poorly. I realize it is benethe me to bring the employee up. Something needs to change, I would rather not have to deal with an employee who disrespects customers when I just want to buy my stuff and get out.
