I've only been in BevMo a few times, I never get that feeling like I want to come back, my visit at the Palm Springs location, first hit the front doors that used to be open to customers now they are locked, have to walk around to the back of the building, rock music playing I was expecting lighter/classier ambience, the store is a bit cluttered stuff piled up against the front windows, not sure exactly the line queue is for checkout big awkward display blocking sight line of checkout, get to the cashier the wine I bought would be $4.99 or $5.99 at a regular high priced grocery store like Vons it is whopping $9.99 at BevMo, that is quite a price difference, cashier seemed offended by my comment on the price, he asked me to join their membership there are people lining up behind me and he is the only cashier so I don't want to hold people up, he awkwardly hands me my change doesn't count it and the bills are all different ways, experience is like a step above a 7-11 with high prices. read more

I went to the store yesterday and told the manager, Mary, that I was looking for a chateauneuf du pape (CdP) a well know wine from the French Rhône region. She said she had never heard of it and since I said it was French, waved me toward the French wine section. She made no effort to look for the wine, nor did she offer to look it up for me. Nor did she try to offer alternatives. Nor did she offer to order it. So I went to Total Wine. I could not find the particular CdP I wanted so the CR looked it up on line, apologized for not having it and suggested I try another one he had tasted. (Had it last night. It was excellent). I then spent $300 on wine, many based on the CR's recommendation. The difference between customer service experiences at the two stores could not have been more stark. read more

I mean, its BevMo. They've got beer, wine, cheesy poofs, cheese, other stuff you don't need but you're drinking so you want to munch on some yummy stuff. Was planning a last minute alcohol order for a wedding in Pioneer Town, as in my first call was Monday, today is Wednesday, and everything has been finalized with delivery this Friday. Spoke with the manager, Mary, multiple times to discuss beers, wines, delivery, and what was in stock. Mary provided exceptional customer service. She went above and beyond, calling other stores to see if they had the wine I wanted in stock, keeping me updated on a little snafu with my credit card as it was declined since I had set a limit to prevent fraud, and responding in a timely manner to my emails and phone messages. I know some people may think that this is standard service, but I have been to my local Bevmo, and unfortunately, did not receive this kind of help. Thank you again Mary! read more

I find the layout of this store difficult to navigate but there is always a sales person to help you find what you are looking for. I like that they have a snack section and even a cooler with cheeses. Parking is super easy and plentiful. Worth getting the Bevmo card to get the discounts. read more

I can't believe they are still doing this. You think you're going to a bargain liquor store and it's not! Bottle for bottle they charge more than other local stores. And, they say they will match to Total Wine but I guess you have to know this to hold them to it. And then, they will push back on this anyway even after they claim to match to this other very large store in the area. This place is just a fraud and I hope they go out of business. What a huge joke this place is. They have one job and that is to stock and sell liquor. Again, I popped in to pick up something as simple as SMIRNOFF ICE. They got none! She tells me that it's popular, well if you know it's popular, than you should consider that! Just saying! Then the snotty girl with the purple hair, when I tell her that I never post on here but I am going to now, RAISES her voice and loudly says, "WHY BECAUSE WE ARE OUT OF SOMETHING!" I say no, that's not it it's because of HER nasty attitude! She then YELLS, "Excuse Meeeee! And then pulls back my receipt and won't give it to me until she makes a huge scene! Oh did I mention their was one person at the register, the store was a mess because of restocking! Call me crazy, but wouldn't a better time to restock be when there aren't more than a half dozen people in line. And please don't come back at me because I have it all on video! I live in Portland and hoped to deliver a bottle of champagne to to our dear friends in Palm Springs. I phoned a local PS grocery store around noon. They flatly rejected my request, telling me that all deliveries were done for the day. I then looked around for other options and found Bevmo. Their website indicated the zip code was out of the delivery area, so I phoned the store and explained my request. I was told to hold a moment and when the representitive returned to the line he said that he spoke with Mary and she would handle the delivery personally. I followed his instructions for placing the order on their website and phoned Mary later to confirm receipt. She was quite kind, explaining that single bottle gifts are not usually handled in this manner. When I asked if I could pay her a fee or tip, she declined and expressed gratitude for the business. I have shopped at BevMos in Santa Barbara, Ventura, Camarillo and Goleta and never had such rudeness from a Bevmo clerk. I was the only customer in store and he would not leave me alone to shop! He's like a stalker! I left and bought my liquor at the grocery store. I hope this place closes. read more

Stopped in to buy some wine and beer, looked at pricing and thought it was high compared to other stores but decided to buy anyway based on the pricing on the tags on the shelves. Realized after we left that we had paid $6 more for the wine and beer than was on the tags. Went back to ask for money back and although on the receipt it states 7 day money back guarantee they would not go or it as we were told it is illegal to refund money, so gave us a discount. My big problem with it they are overpriced and they did not honour their guarantee that was in writing on the receipt. Who runs a business that way? read more

We were in the Palm Springs area this afternoon. Just happen to see the BevMo! Building. We are having a party this weekend and we were planning to purchase a case of Ruffino Prosecco at Total Wine. We popped in to BevMo to price the sparkling wine. They were priced at $15.99 We laughed a bit and headed to the exit. (Total Wine has it for around $10.99). An employee stopped us, we explained why we were leaving. He said they would price match and that Chris would verify and handle. Chris walked by us and said he verified it at $10.97. So, we were happy and carried 10 bottles(all they had), to the register. When we were ready to pay, the cashier said - sorry we can only match 2 bottles. What a horrible experience. The Manager made the employee turns us down. I guess that's why they only had 1 customer - that's always a sign of how a business is running. Now I know why they are called BevMo! The liquor store itself is very nice. But this one lady who works there named Mary b. Is very mean and id me and my daughter for redbull as we are from out of state and didn't know you couldn't buy redbull only redbull no alcohol from a liquor store with children in California. She was rude and very disrespectful. read more
