They are honest and forthcoming and go above and beyond their required job to help you out. I appreciate the time they take to share their opinions about their products and also their sensitivity to the cost of your purchase. They don't HAVE TO care about what you spend at their store, but they STILL care. That says something about the kind of a business they run. They're not purely self-serving. read more

Here's my thing...I like to go online, order my selections, pay for them, then drop by the store and pick them up. Overall prices are very competitive, they are always emailing me discounts, and the selection for my taste is good. So if you like to shop for your alcoholic beverages alone, on the computer, then this is the place for you. read more

Their wine selection is very mediocre compared with Total Wine but their beer selection seems pretty good and their staff is very helpful. Jonathan helped me out with a ton of recommendations based on my likes. They didn't have a specific brew I was seeking but he tried calling three other stores until he located it for me. I'll add that the store was quite busy so I appreciate him taking the time given it wasn't a ghost town in there. I will surely shop here again for my beer or soda needs but on wine they still don't cut the mustard for serious wine drinkers. read more

Thanks Don and the fellow that helped me find Beer Nuts for a party yesterday. I love this BevMo, on El Toro, Lake Forest. They treat each customer well - regardless if we're stocking up for an event, holiday, or picking up beer, wine and snacks. Prices are higher than other places on liquor, but beer selection is great. The best part of BevMo is the wine selection. Whatever your budget or taste you will find it here. Don't bother shopping at BevMo at the Lake Forest Store on El Toro Road. I needed assistance in purchasing a case of wine and no one could assist me. The place is understaffed to the point customers have to suffer. After waiting over 15 minutes I left ...totally frustrating. I'll never come back. read more

I was just at BevMo and was purchasing 4 bottles of wine. I wanted one of them cold so i got a Sonoma Cutre and it was priced at $19.99. The lady at the register rang me up and as i looked over my receipt i noticed it said $39.99. I told the lady and she said if it said $19.99 on the label she will have to honor that price. Sure enough she looked and there was a whole row of this wine labeled $19.99. She told the manager and all he did was apologize and said someone put the wrong label up and that price was for a different vintage. I told him that there was an entire row of them not just one bottle so he should please honor the price. He apologized and said no and just refunded me my money. I have worked in customer service and also ANY other store I have EVER been to would honor the price if it was the store who had the incorrect price advertised. I am very upset at how this was handled and think it shows very poor customer service. Especially when the lady at the register said they would honor the price. My boyfriend and I have spent a lot of money in this store and I will tell you THiS IS THE LAST TIME WE WILL EVER GO BACK and i will tell EVERYONE i know the same!!! I went last night to pick up some Crown Royal and Vodka. . .I'm a bargain shopper and since I have a Gelson's and a Ralph's in my work plaza it makes it easy to be a competitive shopper. . . I HEART Bev Mo but their prices aren't super competitive. . .but they do have a great selection. I found Crown Royal for $20 at Ralphs in Irvine, $25 at Gelsons and $17.99 at Ralph's in Mission Viejo - which is the same price that Bev Mo sold it for. I acutally found Absolut cheaper at Ralphs in MV then I did at Bev Mo by $4---WTF. The nice thing is they have a 5 cent sale about twice a year where you buy select items and get the second for five cents. . . (Going on right now till December 7th) I browsed around and Bev Mo makes me happy since they care Figling (A fig infused vodka you can get at Oktoberfest) and a Lambic (cross between a champagne and beer- double fermented) It rocks. . . so if you're looking for something out of the ordinary I suggest here- Just beware of the staff- I went to make my purchases then asked the clerk about the sale and if she knew if they had any Moscatos included in the deal and she stared at me with a blank stare- NO clue about any of my questions I had asked.
