However when I asked one of the employees Mike if I could use the restroom he immediately asked me if I was going to buy something and if I wasn't going to buy something I could leave. I run a bar catering company for 5 years and only use BevMo and Total Wine for craft mixers like Bitters, Kavlana, etc and I'm able to return within 7days if unopened. Well I showed my receipt and Kevin B said I needed to go to the location I purchased when I told him I'm in area for a few days after a big event we did in Laguna and it's the 7th day and he told me that I was unable to return and claimed I was a problem because I politely told him I am able to return at any city BevMo once event is over and never had an issue as long as I have receipt. I have a recorded video, receipt, card I purchased, and also my ID. I felt he was rude for no reason than proceeded to tell me his manager will be in at 12 to give me the same answer. I will be heading to the next BevMo that I called and literally told me I can come to them. I'm more hurt than anything because he was so rude for no reason. read more

Sold out of so many items. Not sure if it's the supply chain or the lack of interest employees. Here is the worst part, no public bathroom. I have stopped going here and instead go to Total Wine in Laguna Hills, even though sometimes they are slightly more expensive. A) Their selection is not as complete as Total Wine. This may be due to the inclusion of a mini-mart of over-priced snacks. B) Local- limited selection. Often out of stock C) Cashiers make customers uncomfortable. Sometimes they are confused by their registers, sometimes they are trying to push some app or program of BevMo, and often they are just socially unaware. read more

This is a spacious location although, as far as wine goes, their overall selection is rather limited depending on what you are looking for. But certainly better stocked than a grocery store. They carry a lot of good choices, mostly in the $15-25 range. If you like red wine you'll notice they stock a lot of cabernet sauvignon and merlot but few of other types (syrah, pinot noir, malbec, etc.). I've always loved their five cent sale (buy one wine at full price and get a second of the same for five cents!) and I took advantage of this deal on this visit (2 bottles of Buccaneer petite syrah). Beer, soda, hard liquor and cigars are also sold here. The gentleman at the register was quite personable & friendly. I found him to be knowledgable and helpful in giving some recommendations on wines to try on future visits. 3.5 stars. read more

My love for Total Wine, combined with my visit to BevMo last night, made me feel like I was cheating on someone I was seeing. I even felt a little guilty knowing that Total Wine was only a few more miles up the freeway, but I walked in anyway. But, I used to shop at Bevmo so it was kind of like I was cheating on someone by seeing an ex of mine. Familar is the word that comes to mind. The store still looked the same. Aisles situated the same, just different merchandise and displays. Still an ok selection of wines, spirits and beer, as well as cigars and other non-alcoholic drinks and non-beverage accessories. I came in for one specific drink - knew they had it in stock. Got it and left. BevMo is actually OK. I just like another place more. read more

Severely under staffed (no one on floor, waited in line to ask a question, cashier- Brett- couldn't leave register to help). Out of stock on most items (which may not be their fault) but won't honor discounts on bottle counts that can't be attained due to their lack of stock. Asked for a prosecco and manager (Brian) who purportedly "knows wine" recommended a cava. Receipt does not indicate discounted yellow labels or add up to correct as-marked price when added by hand. I generally go to BevMo in Laguna Niguel, which has employees who know wine and make excellent recommendations, has better stock, transparent receipts, and will honor coupons. Five minutes after this visit, Total Wine & More just a block away on El Toro was well-stocked on proseccos and cabs, I was greeted by two people as I was walking in, there were multiple lines, and then the cashier (Mary) was very knowledgeable and helpful. I went to get a new keg and brought the finished one back, I lost the receipt but the keg had their sticker on it and they still would not take it back without the receipt! I went in here yesterday for something specific... Shock Top Raspberry. They were sold out... but they had the Crisp Apple... after walking around the store, I dont know, SIX times thinking the Raspberry was going to magically appear, and probably talking to myself like a random boozer.... I decided to get the Apple. The cashier was very friendly, and helped my "woe is me" moment by commiserating with me about how it sucks when you really want something and cant find it. She even came out with the amazing pouty lip face that even I couldnt beat. It made me feel a little better. I have to say, the Crisp Apple? REALLY GOOD! The first one went down in about 2 minutes. I really am not a beer drinker... but I really was craving it yesterday and this is almost more like a cider... so it worked out well. read more

BevMo is my to go place specially in Northern CA, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and great atmosphere. I visited this location twice, but didn't seems to see the same professionalism and friendly customer service. The gentleman who helped me is not friendly, helpful in a limited way, but somehow seems that he is doing the world a favor. At the end of my transaction he almost tossed my receipts without asking me if I want it or not, then he decide to through it in my bag without showing respect. There are a lot of stores out there and no doubt customers, but if you don't have people skills then it's tough to sell and stand out like other BevMo stores read more

It's been years since I last stepped into a BevMo and today, we were looking for some stuff to make Thanksgiving desserts with. Since we're not drinkers, we wanted to just get enough and not have any leftover. We decided to just go and get those miniature sized liqueurs. Hubby and I stood over the turn thingy which held a whole bunch of these miniature bottles. We naturally couldn't decide what to get especially when we couldn't decide whether to get Cointreau or Grand Marnier, because, aren't they both orange flavored? Hubby wanted some sort of cognac to flavor the whipping cream with but all the selections available was for cheapo stuff. I didn't want that in my whipped cream thank you very much. I perused some aisles but then since like I said I don't drink, I didn't get too excited about any of it. They certainly have a good selection though. I also liked the fact that they carried some caviar although it didn't seem like it was the stuff I had in Vegas (this stuff was a fraction of what I paid). We ended up buying one small bottle of Grand Marnier. The checkout guy joked with us since we only got that one teenie bottle. He said "is that for the ride home?" Yeah, very funny! read more

I don't drink much but I'm still giving this BevMo 5 stars because the attitude here is mellow, they have most of the wines, beers and liquors one would want and the people working here are helpful. There are cheeses, crackers, candies and sodas here as well. I like the carousel of mini sized liquors, in case a 50 ml sized Cruzan Pineapple Rum or any the other small sized liquors are needed. It's best to sign up for their free card, that way you can take advantage of card prices. That will come in handy when BevMo has their 5 cent wine sale - buy one, get one for 5 cents. There are other benefits as well. Around Christmas time, I've bought wine gift sets from this location that were enjoyed. Recently I bought a gift card here. This isn't the largest BevMo store I've been to; the impressive (costly!) selections of Canoga Park's BevMo are etched in my memory forever. It's just fine with me, I can do without the temptation. The Lake Forest location is also much closer to me. read more

This place has a great selection of wines and spirits, although it is not completely comprehensive. Sazerac? No? How can I make a proper sazerac rye cocktail without the key ingredient? Sure, they carry superior rye, and the real key ingredient, peychaud's bitters, but it would be nice if their rye selections were broader. read more

Always a good experience with my purchases here. Staff is very helpful and will talk to you about the products. I do wish some of the beers in the warm section are in the cold box, but I know you only have so much room. The guy ordering the beer definitely keeps a good rotation going. I have to also say that i was impressed when i wanted to return a beer and they didn't hassle me about it!..Thanks for all the work you guys do! read more

Im so thankful for the amazing customer service here at this Bevmo location, especially big thanks to Lizzy!! :) Jacob and Tom were also super nice and helpful too! I drove about an hour+ from where I live just to come here and it was worth it :) I was on a frantic/worried frenzy tonight because other Bevmos were running out or out of a Macallan that I really wanted to buy as a gift for someone, and other places either seemed like they didnt want to take the time to check or were not very nice about it. But when I called this location, Lizzy personally checked for me and was very nice about putting it on hold for me so that nobody would take it as I was driving on my way there. Thanks to her, by the time I got there, all the other Macallans were sold out during my drive and it would have been gone by the time I got there, BUT lo and behold the very last one was still waiting for me all thanks to Lizzy, and I was able to finally get this special gift that i really needed! If it wasnt for her, id be shot out of giving this person their perfect gift right before christmas and it would have been too late. So thank you So much Lizzy!!!! Also too, Jacob helped me pick out a great giftset for another friend and was also very helpful, and Tom was very kind and also offered to help carry my boxes to my car so that i wouldnt have to make two rounds in/out. Originally purchased a few things and they asked if I needed a recipt and I said I don't think so. I ended up getting wrong syrup and thought I could use my bevmo member ship to return. Associate Brian said no we cannot. I said fine and went on shopping. I asked where the triple sec was and he pointed me the way. I told him it would be cool that you tell customers when they decline a recipte that you won't be able to return. He said that's not our policy. I said that's fine but it would just be a nice reminder to your customers. He said with a smirk in a very smart ass way that it's "up to me" That's when I got mad and asked hime why are you being a smart ass about it, I'm just making a suggestion. He wouldn't let it go and said again that's "not our problem" in even a worse smart ass manner. I proceeded to give him the face he was giving me and then he said " oh now your being a dick." I asked for manager he came over and asked him to walk away. I didn't even receive an apology. I will be going to total wine from now on and letting all my friends who do alot of business with them know. read more

As I walked in, all four employees were chatting at the front corner of the store. I had to walk over and ask for service instead of someone approaching me. Once I got my things I had to break up the party so someone could check me out. You never saw such disappointed faces that they actually had to help a customer. Granted, I may have been one of two or three customers in the store so they weren't busy. However, you have to ask: are they not busy because their service is so bad and nobody wants to shop here...or is their service so bad because nobody shops here and they can't afford to properly train their employees? I'm leaning towards the former. read more

A nice location that is well managed. However, I felt like their craft beer selection was smaller than other locations I frequent more often (Burbank & Laguna Niguel). the lake forest store manager REFUSED to return the item claiming that it will "mess up their inventory". excuse me? it's 2019, inventory is never an issue. then had a long-winded secret conversation in the back discussing they think it's theft. you know who you are. the only theft, are their own employees. check your security cameras, bevmo. you've employed some scumbag lying cheating employees who steals from the company and blames it on the customers. giving us shade for stealing?? they can't even own up to a $15 INCOMPLETE DEFECTIVE product they sold to us. buy at your own risk. credit card claim filed, and won. this concern was also reported to corporate. this was my first ever purchase from bevmo, we won't be purchasing from bevmo, ever, again. but hey, thanks for the 4 bottles of sapporo that are now, free. read more

The cashier named Mark helped me and made me feel very uncomfortable when he asked me to remove my mask to see if I was old enough to buy liquor, but that's an illegal policy and i've never been asked that throughout all of lockdown? When i refused he started treating me like a criminal or something, like dude i just don't wanna get COVID? i have a feeling it may have been a homophobia thing since I was there with my boyfriend, but one can't be sure. I saw people check out with beer after me without taking off their masks so i don't understand why else i would have been singled out. I'd say avoid this Bevmo location if you can. read more

I was helped by Mike, this man totally disregards Covid precautions and was extremely homophobic, he made me take down my mask only after he saw me and my partner showing affection and didn't ask anyone else who is purchasing to take down their mask to show their face to match it to the ID even after my ID scanned. He made me feel extremely unsafe and I am an AT RISK human being. This BevMo is NOT lgbtq+ friendly and Mike will make you feel uncomfortable. read more

Discrimination is all I can say. If you have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing a mask in their store you will be treated negatively. All they tell you is "you can order online" so if you can't wear a mask you aren't allowed to shop in their stores. If I could give 0 stars I would. I will not support businesses that t in this way. Brett assisted us with some suggestions for ciders. He was very knowledgeable and gave us his opinion on several ciders. Based on his recommendations, we deviated from our standard selection and went with his top two suggestions. Needless to say, his recommendations were spot on. While I enjoy a nice trip to bevmo... This one has two strikes for me. The first visit my hubby bought a bunch of 22s. The guy said one wasn't in the system and went and looked it up and typed in the code. When we got outside we realized he rang up a $90 bottle of rum! Had to go back and deal with that. So just tried it for second time. Got up to register and two bottles labeled $11 rang up for $28 each! They were on a cart clearly labeled with the $10.99 price. We checked the label and everything and the beers were the correct ones on label. They refused to sell it to us for the price they had listed. Can I mention both times it was the same cashier? I am glad that this store is here. My best bud was hunting for some alcohol all day and this was the perfect place to take her. Once I noticed she kept wanting to buy more and more wine... I suggested the buy one get one 5 cent sale! What better place to buy tons of alcohol! ^_^ Unfortunately I had to go with her and succumb to the temptation. I don't even drink alcohol and I had to buy some for Thanksgiving. If they had a wider selection of dessert wines I would give them 5 stars! They were pretty friendly in helping me find wines. Some people were more knowledgeable than others but they were all very helpful. The best part was my friend was able to find the Ale she had in London. So she picked some up and gave me a bottle. I have yet to try it, but if I can't finish it she says she will drive over to drink the rest! lol That is how good it's suppose to be. It was a fun shopping trip and I have grown to love BevMo! The only redeeming quality that BevMo has is their 5 cent wine sale. I picked up two bottles of Stella Rosa the other day. The workers were helpful but I felt like I was ambushed when I was the only person in the store. Geez. I'm just here to buy alcohol guys. Total Wine and More up the freeway is a much better setup.
