The cashier named Mark helped me and made me feel very uncomfortable when he asked me to remove my mask to see if I was old enough to buy liquor, but that's an illegal policy and i've never been asked that throughout all of lockdown? When i refused he started treating me like a criminal or something, like dude i just don't wanna get COVID? i have a feeling it may have been a homophobia thing since I was there with my boyfriend, but one can't be sure. I saw people check out with beer after me without taking off their masks so i don't understand why else i would have been singled out. I'd say avoid this Bevmo location if you can. read more

I was helped by Mike, this man totally disregards Covid precautions and was extremely homophobic, he made me take down my mask only after he saw me and my partner showing affection and didn't ask anyone else who is purchasing to take down their mask to show their face to match it to the ID even after my ID scanned. He made me feel extremely unsafe and I am an AT RISK human being. This BevMo is NOT lgbtq+ friendly and Mike will make you feel uncomfortable. read more

Discrimination is all I can say. If you have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing a mask in their store you will be treated negatively. All they tell you is "you can order online" so if you can't wear a mask you aren't allowed to shop in their stores. If I could give 0 stars I would. I will not support businesses that t in this way. I will not shop here again. read more

Brett assisted us with some suggestions for ciders. He was very knowledgeable and gave us his opinion on several ciders. Based on his recommendations, we deviated from our standard selection and went with his top two suggestions. Needless to say, his recommendations were spot on. His recommendations are now our favorite ciders. Brett definitely made our visit to BevMo great and he is awesome! read more

While I enjoy a nice trip to bevmo... This one has two strikes for me. The first visit my hubby bought a bunch of 22s. The guy said one wasn't in the system and went and looked it up and typed in the code. When we got outside we realized he rang up a $90 bottle of rum! Had to go back and deal with that. So just tried it for second time. Got up to register and two bottles labeled $11 rang up for $28 each! They were on a cart clearly labeled with the $10.99 price. We checked the label and everything and the beers were the correct ones on label. They refused to sell it to us for the price they had listed. Can I mention both times it was the same cashier? Whatever won't be back. read more

I am glad that this store is here. My best bud was hunting for some alcohol all day and this was the perfect place to take her. Once I noticed she kept wanting to buy more and more wine... I suggested the buy one get one 5 cent sale! What better place to buy tons of alcohol! ^_^ Unfortunately I had to go with her and succumb to the temptation. I don't even drink alcohol and I had to buy some for Thanksgiving. If they had a wider selection of dessert wines I would give them 5 stars! They were pretty friendly in helping me find wines. Some people were more knowledgeable than others but they were all very helpful. The best part was my friend was able to find the Ale she had in London. So she picked some up and gave me a bottle. I have yet to try it, but if I can't finish it she says she will drive over to drink the rest! lol That is how good it's suppose to be. It was a fun shopping trip and I have grown to love BevMo! Even though I don't come often, but it's always fun to have it around! ^_^ read more

The only redeeming quality that BevMo has is their 5 cent wine sale. I picked up two bottles of Stella Rosa the other day. The workers were helpful but I felt like I was ambushed when I was the only person in the store. Geez. I'm just here to buy alcohol guys. Total Wine and More up the freeway is a much better setup. That's my only regret living so far from Tustin. read more

I came here because of the name-- Beverages and More. I figured that with a name like that, they'd for sure be in stock of a lot of great bottles of champagne for New Year's Eve-- AND that it would be chilled. Not! They were all sold out of chilled bottles of my two favorites-- Martini and Rossi Asti and Moet et Chandon White Star. I bought a room-temp bottle of Martini and Rossi and left, a little sad. Crossed the street to Ralph's and found a chilled bottle of the same champagne for $1 less--- and Moet et Chandon White Star for $7 less! AND chilled! So I called the number on the receipt and asked if I could return the bottle I just bought-- they gave me twenty questions about it, sighed and said I could bring it back. When I returned to the store, twenty minutes later, they seemed very suspicious of my return, asking "Oh, you found it chilled? Where? For Less?" I got the rundown, man. Got my money back, and hightailed it outta there. I can't totally fail them-- they have a GREAT selection, and I also got a chilled 40 of Anchor Steam Ale for only $2.99. I will continue to come back here, but the overly suspicious staff left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

Went in last night to get some Gluten-Free beer. I usually have a great experience shopping at BevMo. I got the worst service however from Matt. I had simply him if someone could help me and he replied sure. Matt continued to stay focused on a computer screen only. He left me standing there for what had to be 10 minutes before I found a stepping stool to sit on. I stayed waiting on that stool for an additional 10 minutes before I nicely asked him if I could get some help. He replied I am busy so I can't help. I asked if there was anyone that could, he then replied no to me, without even looking up from his computer. I had to track down another employee (of which there was only 2 on staff) and he did go out of his way to be helpful. Turned out they didn't have the item in stock. What really irked me as a shopper is that this employee didn't even take 1 second to hop on the store line to ask the other employee to help me. Rather he just gave me a yes answer and let me wait forever before telling me no. Point is, BevMo is usually great; however, you want damn good service every time? Go to the one on Crown Valley, they treat you right. read more

Great customer service and great store. Honestly one of the best I've been to at BevMo through out SoCal. The store is always stocked up nice, very clean and well organized. The store reps and management are always helpful and give me recommendations of good wines for any occasion I come in for. Excellent service, professional and knowledgeable. Good job. read more

I love this location. The staff is always so friendly and informative. They have wine tastings on Fridays and Saturdays which are fun to attend. They even let you sample beer at the tasting which is cool. It's always a pleasure to browse the wines and read their descriptions. Also, they have a 5 cent sale on some of their wines where you buy one and get the second wine for 5 cents. It's an awesome deal! Check it out! =) read more

This is my adult Disneyland and I am a avid annual pass holder. Why is this place better then your average super market and or drug store? because if you have half a brain and have good taste in the good libations department you'd realize this place is one of the only few places that has an amazing selection of hard to find stuff. But if your a moron who just drinks Coors and other dull run of the mill mundane shit I could see your ignorance on why you don't see what is so great about this place. It's all about variety & that is what this place has. read more

This is my usual stomping grounds for all my alcoholic beverage needs. I prefer this location as opposed to the Laguna Niguel location I reviewed last. This place is large and the aisles don't feel squished and over flowing with stuff. The staff is pretty knowledgeable and friendly... and yes, they sadly know me by name. After reading some reviews, I think this location might be getting unfairly dumped on. If you are looking for the absolute cheapest beer and liquor you can find, there are definitely others that beat this place. However, if you are looking for beer and liquor that you can't find at your local grocery store, drug store, and smaller mom-and-pop liquor store, then this is where this place shines. I don't drink domestic beers (minus the local craft brews) or even domestic liquor... it usually sucks when compared to imported stuff. (May domestic looks to produce their product on the cheap?) They have a good sized import section where I can find most if not all of my Belgian beers and don't even get me started on the Irish whisky they have... Talking about the 18 yr old single malt glenfiddich you just don't see those other places. If you looking for cheap beer like budweiser or your cheaper liquor like smirnoff... go elsewhere because you aren't going to find it on the cheap here. However, if you are looking for something new to try or can't find your alcohol in the usually places, bevmo is pretty good place to start looking. read more

The breakdown: -5 cent sale is an awesome chance to stock up on wine at a great price -good selection of California wines, decent selection of old world and Aussie wines. -good selection of beer -great selection of liquor, mixers and snacks I like this place- better than the grocery store, but not nearly as good (in terms of selection, volume and service) as the five-star Total Wine store in Tustin. read more

Thanks Fred for setting aside the hard to find Blade Runner 2049 limited edition Johnie Walker Black for me this morning as I made my way over to pick it up! Great staff at this chain store turns it into a friendly neighborhood liquor boutique experience. Keep up the enthusiasm and efficiency! Also thanks to BevMo Irvine for helping me with the SKU and finding a local store that had a bottle. read more

BevMo! - How can you resist? So nice that BevMo carries limited edition Black Label, like this Blade Runner 2049 tribute. - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Lake Forest, California

I was in a pinch during the past holiday season, so I ordered some gifts for my coworkers online and scheduled pick up during my lunch hour. Come my lunch hour I went to pick up my order and I had to wait 5-10 minutes before someone would help me at the pick up desk. When some one came, I found out my order was not ready. So I had to wait another 5-10 minutes. Which I wouldn't usually mind, but I ordered online to save myself some time. But that did no good. But they do have good prices and a good selection. So... Would I go back? Probably, because its close. read more

Don't waste your money here, go to Total Wine. Selection is way better and BevMo can't even match their prices. Ketel One botanical is $28 at BevMo and $18 at Total. Also all the beers we checked are 4-8 more expensive at BevMo. read more

First off, I'm probably going to regret coming here tomorrow because I can feel a headache coming on.... Today was one of those days where I could use a drink after work. So, after my yoga class over at Bally's that's in the same shopping center, I stopped inside BevMo. I didn't know what to expect considering I've never been in a BevMo, but all I know is I wanted a nice, cheap bottle of red wine. Asked for help from an employee, and was pointed in the right direction. After selecting my choice and checking out I was even asked if I needed help to my car (with only one bottle of wine)! This store is clean, well lit, well stocked and the employees are wonderful!!! To top it off, they have everything you could ever possibly want alcohol wise for a decent price. Store seemed fairly busy, but not overly crowded and they had enough people working to help you out. I will be coming back BevMo when I decide I need to have a relaxing night with a headache the next day! Until than, happy drinking! read more

It's a regular run of the mill BevMo, which is ok. It's got the decent selection of indulgences that most other BevMos have, and some of the regular staffers here that I interacted with actually knew a thing or 3. I guess it's biggest draw for me is/was it's convenience - I didn't have to go to the northern reaches of Irvine or down to Laguna Niguel to get my "harder" to find beer and spirits. All in all, I'm giving it a slightly above average review because it was good for what it is. It's not the most bomb diggity BevMo ever, nor does it hold a candle to the superstore that is HiTime, but it works and is useful for exactly what it is. read more

Great location. Great customer service. Love the setup of everything. I love BevMo to begin with but this one is a great addition to this plaza. Can't wait to come back and buy more goodies! read more

Yelp, don't try to coax me into giving softer reviews during the covid bs. I got told I couldn't get service in a completely empty store because I chose, as is my right in CA, to not wear a mask in a corporate business. I socially distance and respect masks in close quarters but being refused service when not one other customer was present in a giant warehouse store... Unacceptable. read more

You know, for someone who doesn't drink too much, I really like to shop at BevMo. I don't know crap about wine and these guys have always been Johnny-on-the-spot with the helpful tips and recommendations. The guy over in the whiskey area was also extremely helpful when it came time to picking out a nice single-malt scotch for a good friend's birthday. No pressure. No up- sale weirdness. Just good advice and great attitude. You can bet I'll be back here the next time I need good wine, liquor or beer for a friend or for myself. read more

I am giving it 4 stars cause the customer service has always been good but the prices are not good for anything I ever buy. Unless you are a wino and go to the 1 cent sale then you are probably overpaying. I personally prefer Total Wine. More selection and cheaper prices. Still like Bevmo though! read more

Heck yes! Great selection. Stumbled upon Bevmo while going to the nearby Portobello Road. Purchased 2 bottles of wine (they were having a buy 1 bottle get the other for 5 cents) and prankster beer (my husbands favorite). We usually have a hard time finding prankster beer too! I saw they had a wine tasting area in the back but didn't taste test this time, maybe the next:-) When checking out the clerk was very friendly and nice! I will most definitely be back and will be buying much MORE wine! read more

Amazing experience here and they helped me find the stouts and porters I was looking for. ;) Plus they carry a variety of selection of beers and wines, despite the small selection in Averies, they still carry a decent round of selections. read more

This store is neat and clean and full of great things for the connoisseur or the beginner when it comes to your favorite beverage, along with stemware, non-alcoholic drinks, and gourmet foods. There are many holiday specials and gift sets. The wines are labeled by variety and shelved top down by price. The craft beer isles are a bit scattered but the employees are eager to assist. Almost all my favorites are found here, I can also find a rare gem. I loved finding wines from California wineries I've visited. You can literally spend hours in the store taking in all they have to offer, literally they have it all and you'll wonder why you ever bought wine in the grocery store and not ventured to BevMo first. The prices are not always the best but considering the selection here I rarely shop for booze anywhere else. read more

BevMo! - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Lake Forest, California

How is BevMo still in business? Stopped by to pick up some beer. A case of Modelo regular price is $29.99 but was on sale for $24.99. A half mile away Total Wine has it for $22.99 regular price. BevMo is more expensive than the corner liquor store 2 blocks from my house. Don't bother. read more

Before I returned to Southern California I used to purchase all my suds at Dan Murphy's (http://www.danmurphys.com.au/) I used to love their great variety of beer from various parts of the world. When I returned to So. Cal, it was difficult to locate a place that offered the same type of variety I used to get at Dan Murphy's until my sister put me on to BevMo. The Lake Forest location is always well stocked and tidily maintained. Whether you are looking for a descent bottle of wine, or some locally bottled brew, BevMo will probably have you covered. The Lake Forest staff are always very friendly and eager to assist. read more

I went into the store to return some wine bottles I bought the same day at a different location. When I went to the register, the man helping me acted as if I was trying to return stolen merchandise. I had my receipt and all bottles were unopened. He asked me over and over the same questions giving me a hard time for no reason. I asked if it was necessary to be acting that way, and another female worker yelled at me from behind the counter. "CALM DOWN SIR IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE." What? So unprofessional and rude. She also threatened to refused service when she was the only being disrespectful and getting loud. Never coming to this BevMo again. The way they operate is so embarrassing. They should be ashamed of themselves. They called the previous store to ensure that I in fact bought the bottles there. They confirmed and I got my return but it was a lot of discrimination i felt and hostility. read more

$0.05 for a bottle of wine! The 5 cent wine sell is amazing and as these are wines that I purchase from other locations I know they don't jack the price way up to cover the cost of the second bottle. Kim was amazing and super helpful. I randomly decided to ask for bottles of specific wines a few times while I was there and everytime she stopped what she was doing to assist me. Not only does she know her stuff but she saved me money by recommending a wine that was similar to the one I wanted but was part of the sell. I will definitely direct all of my wine business here! read more

they do just fine for most things. The selection is great, but whoever is in charge of the cigars at this store has a serious problem. They need to add water to the humidifier in the cabinets. Three times now, I have purchased cigars, only to find them almost unsmokable they are so dry. I sent a note to the headquarters via the website, and received a reply email telling me that as the store manager, he could assure me that the people would be trained to care for the cigars. He said that I should come on by, and mention this email, and he would give me a couple of free cigars. Fine, I said, I waited a couple of months, to let the cigars get reacquainted with a little thing called moisture, and went back inside. I asked for a couple of cigars...not mentioning the email) and the man showed me a couple, then told me to pick one out.. I chose two, and paid cash. I don't know what was going through my head, but oh well. When I got them unwrapped in the car, they cracked in my hands. I immediately went back inside, and showed them to the man at the counter. He called up another man, and they let me pick out three cigars, one extra for my trouble. I opened them in the store, and they were cracking again. I asked for my money back (no problem there) and left. The problem is, that right across the street, there are two other cigar stores. With the same prices, better selection on other brands, and the cigars are ALL properly maintained. Come here for the booze, but leave the cigars alone, and go across the street to someplace that will give you a better smoking experience. read more

I love BevMo! Whether it's this location or any other location, BevMo makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. I feel giddy with excitement as I see an ocean of possibilities lay in front of me. Came here for a specific beer. The employee the floor was so kind and tried so hard to be helpful but had to pass me to manager since they had to do a database search. The first man he stopped said, sorry I can't help ask the other manager because I am headed out. The employee looked embarrased that I was dismissed. The other manager came, didn't even ask me what I needed (I assume he overheard my request) grumbled something then when to a computer. Five minutes later says, we don't have that that is a brewery not in OC. Duh! I said that if you had just asked me directly. BTW your EXACT location is listed as a distributor for this brewery so you may want to contact them to update their records. I get admin changes happen but don't treat me in such a darn condesending manner like I know nothing about what I am asking for or why. Again, only giving two stars because the younger man on the floor was very nice. read more
