The 3rd time is a charm. If only Total Wine opened at 9am. I wouldn't have had to stop here. 3 reluctant visits to various BevMo, and all 3 visits poor service. They apparently advertise they open 9am. I get there 9:05am and the doors are locked. Someone is walking around inside. At 9:10 he finally sees us and it looks like he begrudgingly opens the door. He walks up, unlocks the door, and just walks away. No "good morning", no apology. NADA. Should've been a sign to just leave at this point. Next time I'll wait for Total Wine or Costco. I've tried. 3 times to give this place a chance. Guess 3 strikes and it's time to take my business elsewhere. read more

Got an email saying free delivery over $50. We are close in Westminster so wife says let's order. We put in order for $121 that includes a 15 dollar tip for the driver. I get a notification the order is ready for pickup. WHAT? I called the store and the girl says to cancel the order and reorder again. the cancel button doesnt work but get a box that says orders take 10 days to refund. I check my card and it's already paid the $121. I call the store and just say DELIVER MY ORDER. SHE HANGS UP ON ME. I CALL BACK AND SHE HUNG UP AGAIN. MY ORDER IS WAITING AT THE STORE. A warehouse style store filled with alcohol and alcohol accessories? Count me in. BevMo has all your favorite beers, wines, and liquors for a Friday night in. I recently stopped by for guidance on creating a whiskey themed gift basket for a coworker. The BevMo employees were incredibly helpful and steered me in the right direction. I ended up taking home sugar cubes (the boujie form of simple syrup) and a locally made whiskey. They also sell a number of accessories like glassware and nifty gifts to spiffy up a drink. This is a one stop shop in the world of booze! It doesn't hurt that they carry a number of local brands, helping you to expand your beverage palette. read more

A place that sells primarily alcohol?! Is it heaven? It might be a close second here on earth. I've been to different BevMo! stores many times over the years and love that it's a convenient place that offers all sorts of alcohol. Their selection is pretty good in general. They have many locations and this particular one I visited is in Huntington Beach. There was ample parking and they were easy to find. The store was clean and organized. When I went, they weren't very busy and I was easily able to get assistance fetching a gift for a client. The staff was friendly and I was in and out of the place in a jiffy. The reason for my visit was to buy a new client a gift when I visited her family. After looking around and with what was in stock, I ended up purchasing a bottle of Hennessy XO Cognac. It was a good experience during my visit and I think they have above average customer service compared to other BevMo! stores. Recommended BevMo! store. read more

Made some great drinks from out purchase at BevMo. Used our strawberries from the farmers market with Bevmo's Margarita mix, Raquel's and strawberry lime rim salt (kind of sweet, kind of sour salt) blended together on ice and it's wonderful! Came here to pick up the champagne we ordered, it was 5 cents wine sale event again, also some extra deals if we get 12 or more bottles of wines. Turned out the savings were almost 50% off! SWEET deal indeed! We got complimentary wine tastings from our wine purchase. Tasting is only $5 anyways, we get to try 5 different wines and a craft beer. Fun tasting, great afternoon mood boost, loved it! The staffs were very friendly and helpful, definitely one of the best locations we have ever been to! Ps. I guess if the "quarantine era" can steer things off course I can too with another rare non-food review. This time BevMo was the winner and I'm only choosing this one because of wanting to recognize them for a job well done during this rough time. It just feels justified. BevMo in general is an alcoholic paradise. Basically if a bottle of booze and your local grocery store decided on a night of coitus. However the "Big Bang" happens, amen to an establishment such as this indeed for existing. I honed in on this specific location because they were practically one of very few in all of Southern California who had the new white claw pineapple in stock. Talk about a birthday weekend letdown not finding it anywhere, but Huntington Beach BevMo you were my hero! As we walked up we noticed that people are still not allowed inside to shop, but the employees get everything for you and then you step inside to pay (unless you're like us doing an online pickup) which either way you "down it" is pretty convenient. Despite a few grumpy people (and that's being very politically correct) because they couldn't shop and were turned away I thought it was a social distancing job done to perfection! Beyond that I find it very accommodating that they'll hold an online order up to three weeks which seems over the top, but handy if something comes up. There were daily email reminders as well so the organizational piece is there also in that process. The staff was inviting and really just friendly overall. You can tell the level of care is there and mask or not I really felt valued from start to finish. Drove all the way from Corona which is no easy trek and if I had to again I would die to exceptional level of service from within these walls! read more

I've been shopping at this location for 15 years. I've always loved shopping here and enjoyed the friendly helpful staff that worked here. I haven't been here for a couple months because of covid. I know you had to do only online orders. I stopped by last week and was happy to see I could come in. I enjoy reading the labels on the wine bottles and like to try new stuff. One of the young girls greeted me and was extremely rude. I really wish I remembered her name. I almost left the store but I had a cart full. As she walked away from me she mumbled another rude remark. I checked out and spent almost $200 as usual. I opened a new bottle the next day and it was not good. I went in the following day (day 3) to return the bottle. I bought 2 so I brought both of them. The guy doing my return said he couldn't return the opened bottle. I asked why because I've done it before. He said I could only exchange them or return 1. I decided not to argue and grabbed 2 bottles to exchange. I had a refund of $2.17. He asked me for my card. I said why do you need my card if I paid with cash. I don't know who these new employees are but they don't know what they are doing. The employee that was rude to me 2 days prior recognized me and gave me another dirty look. I have a full bar, a wine refrigerator and entertain often. I will be spending my money elsewhere. You guys need to have a teem meeting so everyone is on point and knows the return policy. And also how to treat a customer. read more

A good selection of alcohol & cheese BevMo...over all good, not vast as the other wine places I've reviewed but it's decent. You get carded to prove your 21+ age, and for $0.05, YUP 5 cents. 5 red Andrew Lincoln coins :), and you get tastings - wine, beer, whatever that they're sampling at the Huntington Beach location. My friend slipped in a dollar (I know. so generous), and we were able to drink our hearts out. They have almost everything that you can dream about - either on hand or that they can order, or send you to a different location. It is a wonder that I found I had not reviewed BevMo! We have been there enough times and have always found that special brand or taste. We were looking for that special spirit today which we thought was a very good wine. We had it just once but the name lingers on. We searched the isles in the wine section without success. A friendly staff lady walks by and asked if she could offer help. The lovely missus jumped on the opportunity and asked for where we could find that special wine called Sofia Blanc de Blancs, a California wine by Coppola, famous Hollywood person gone into the winery business. That was the wine that helped us celebrate our wedding anniversary. The helpful lady without skipping a beat said right this way. We followed her and sure enough, there it is! 2 bottles please at about $25 each. A bit More shopping at BevMo!, making sure we had some on the list all taken care of. The only employee I saw was the gentleman working the cash register, so I got in line, asked him if they carried it, and he told me exactly where it was. BevMo, at least this store, no longer accepts cash as payments. BevMo wants you to use a card to gather information on you. I went there about 3 days ago and waited in line for about 15 minutes with only 2 people in front of me. Customers trying to figure out what phone number their rewards card is under and cashiers who can not figure out how to scan the coupon. My turn and I place my items on the counter, casheir scans them and I hand him the cash only to be informed that they no longer accept cash. Total Wine and More still accepts cash in H.B. The Liquor Warehouse still accepts cash as do Smart and Final and grocery stores. Never step inside another BevMo. read more

For example, I can buy the 1.75 L bottle of Wofford Reserve for $49.99 at my favorite liquor store but BevMo wants $64.99. I also don't like how they don't seem to understand the difference between bourbon and whiskey. They should merchandise their stores so that Bourbons are merchandised together, American whisky and eyes are merchandised together, Irish whiskeys are merchandised together, etc instead of lumping them all together and making the shoppers experience more dofficult read more

Honestly I have never been into BevMo before, but I came in with my mom the other night because we have an event coming up and needed lots of wine. We are not wine drinkers so we had no idea what to buy. Tyler and Ryan were the two associates working there that night, and they were AMAZING! I've never had a problem with Bevmo, but I felt obliged to write this review after using their order on line - pick up at the store service. I decided to pick up at the HB branch since it's usually the zen center of Bevmos (especially compared to the West Hollywood cluster fuck). I ordered 10 bottles from their buy one get one for 5 cents sale and received an email confirmation that my order was ready. I went to pick up my order (already paid for) and they couldn't find it. I started helping them go through all their orders and the boxes to locate mine. After 15 minutes I got fed up. The reason why I ordered on line was to save time and be efficient. And I told the guy helping me this. No more misses nice Anna A., but don't worry I didn't make him cry. Since they couldn't find my order they decided to fill it then and there. I was like, well you better hurry because I don't have time for this. Grrrrrr!!! To my dismay they were out of the french champagne, malbec and shiraz I ordered so I was like whatever just refund me that ish and do it fast. I was a little annoyed with this whole strain of events and only getting half the wine I ordered. BevMo.....it's been about six weeks. For those six weeks I've been frequenting Total Wine and More (in the shopping center rightnextdoor as I pointed out before). Know what? 5% discount doesn't mean shit to me anymore....5 cent sales don't mean shit to me anymore.... KNOW WHY??? -TWM's prices are right on track with yours, or slightly less -I don't have to wait in a line of 8 people because there are only one or two check stands open -I don't "sometimes" have to give up my CDL to you so you can implant a chip in my brain via osmosis or whatever the hell it is that you do with it when you "sometimes" tell me you can't sell to me if I don't give it up. -I don't have to have an anxiety attack over whether I'm going to be hassled about being able to use my 5% off coupon on my phone and/or be given disapproving looks along with an exasperated request to your manager to see if the "rules" can be "broken" for me.
