During covid you could place an order online, have it delivered, as well as pull up and get curbside.. they ended up keeping that since it was extremely successful. They have people that work there that know a lot about whine and someone else who knows a lot about hard liquors like what brand is better etc. So it's not like some kid just applying for a job and gets it.

I truly appreciate that they have a fridge stocked with cold wine, Prosecco, and Champagne, which are usually my go-to drinks--it's so convenient to grab one and have it ready to enjoy. However, I've noticed that the customer service can be a bit hit or miss. Sometimes they warmly greet you and ask if you've found everything okay, while other times you may feel a bit ignored. That's the only reason I'm not giving it a full five stars.

I stopped here on my way to Westbrook to grab just a couple nips. From the outside, the sign (along with the Asian restaurant sharing the building) have the same exact font, on the same sign. It is a bit misleading if they are two separate businesses at all from the outside. Originally, I parked on one side of the parking lot, but realized that was the entrance to the restaurant, so I re-parked to where I thought was the liquor store entrance. Once inside, it did have a nice layout once further in, despite the sort of run-down entrance. I was asked if I needed any help. I told the cashier I was probably going to grab a few nips, but I was just looking around first. But instead of finishing stocking what he was doing, he went behind the cashier counter and I felt rushed to stop browsing and choose what I was planning on purchasing. Not sure if I'll be back.

However, since it's a large crowd with some of my favorite people, I decided to try and locate one of their favorite wines. They love what they consider to be the best white which is the Santorini Assyrtiko. It is a more mineral, bolder wine like a stainless steel-aged Athiri blends from the island of Santorini in Greece. It adds an extra layer of flavor body to the complexity of the seafood broth and enhances the briny, sea flavor of the dish with a bright, citrusy note. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I didn't find the bottle I was looking for, but I decided to substitute it with another one they suggested. There is plenty of parking available and it is conveniently located to get in and out of quickly.
