I saw Dr. D at the Spine and Pain Center of Fairfax. My appointment was at 12:45 and I finally got…read moreto see him at 2:00p. I did like him. He asked questions, tested my reflexes and muscle control, and said it looks like spondylosis and that an SI block would be the first thing we should try. I asked about chiropractors and/or PT and he said that they probably wouldn't help until after we get the inflammation under control with the SI Block. In the meantime, he gave me an order for an MRI and X-Rays and asked if I had any questions. It sounded like a plan so I said no. He led me out to the front desk where I found myself scheduling an appointment for an SI Block - that wouldn't happen for another month. No one gave me any information on the SI Block so when the front desk guy was asking me what time I'd want to come in I asked, "do I have to fast before or anything?" He said, "no, nothing." I said, "do I need to get someone to drive me?" He said, "nope, just show up." So, I made an appointment to come back on March 7th. In the interim, my back pain went up to 9. I found myself in bed for 8 days. I got an MRI and on March 2nd sent the CD to the doctor's office with my husband who asked at the front desk if the doctor could look at it. I was scared. I've never been in that much pain for that long. I also called the doctor's office on the 2nd. It took me 3 tries to get through. The call center kept transferring me to a "direct line" that would immediately disconnect. But on the 3rd try I got a message that said "leave a message and we will return your call in 24 hours." I left the message, "Can the doctor review the MRI ahead of time? I'm in a lot of pain and want to make sure there's nothing to worry about. Can you let me know if there are any cancellations? And can someone please call back as I have questions about the SI Block on Monday?" I had googled SI blocks and read that you should have someone drive you. I wanted to ask about that among other things. No one called me back. I was in so much pain on the 7th that I had my husband drive me anyway. The physician's assistant, E, came to get me about 30 minutes late. He took me back to an operating room. That's when I realized I wouldn't see the doctor first. E asked me to lie down on my belly. He told me he had to take an X-Ray. He pulled my shirt up and my pants down and then rubbed cold liquid on my lower back. That's when I realized he'd taken the X-Ray. No lead covering for me. And no warning about the rest. He said, "you're all set. Just lie there. The doctor will be in in a minute." I didn't have my phone or a book. I did have my watch. It was another 15 minutes before Dr. D walked in. He did warn me he was putting cold stuff on my back. He asked if I had any questions. I asked, "Did you get to look at the MRI?" He said, "yes, that's why you're here today." I said, "I've been in a lot of pain the last 2 weeks." He said, "and we're going to get you feeling better." Then he said "little pinch" and started the needles. I wasn't done asking questions so, I said, "Dr. D, before I leave here today, are we going to talk about next steps?" He said "yes." A few minutes later, he was wrapping up. I said, "Before I go, I just want to be sure I have a plan for what's next." He said, "you will." Then he added, "I'm all done. I just left gauze on you, not bandages. E will be in soon to take care of you." He left and I assumed I'd meet with Dr. D after I was able to get up. E came in 5 minutes later. He asked how I was feeling and if I was experiencing any numbness or tingling. I was fine and no numbness so he pulled my pants up and told me I could get up. Then he said, "no exercise for 3 days. No bath for 3 days. You can shower in 24 hours. Don't go to a chiropractor for a week. Any questions?" That sounded clear to me and I assumed I'd get a sheet telling me all that and giving me additional information as he took me to my meeting with Dr. D. Only he didn't give me a sheet and he dropped me at reception to schedule my next appointment. I stood there kind of dumb struck with the front desk guy telling me I could get an appointment in 6 weeks and what time did I want it? I said, "what about PT?" He said, "did you need an order for PT?" I said, "I don't want to sit around for 6 weeks with nothing happening. Should I do PT or anything else?" He said, "do you want me to ask the doctor?" I said "yes." He told me I could wait. About 10 minutes later, E came by and the reception guy told him I need an order for PT. I said, "I don't need an order. I just want to know what I am supposed to do for the next 6 weeks. Should I do PT or anything else?" E asked me if I wanted him to ask the doctor. I said yes and he came back 5 minutes later saying "You can do PT if you want." I was frustrated and felt like no one understood my broader question. I asked again, "But should I? I want to know what I should do for the next 6 weeks?" E replied, "If PT works for you, go ahead."

This time the doctor told me she would give me a prescription for pain since I can't walk, from unbearable pain, a week after injections. Well, I emailed and called after she said it would be in before the injections then spoke to the nurse, who said it'll be at the pharmacy in 30 minutes. Well it's been 4 hours and they are closed. Since it's Friday I can't even attempt to speak to them again until after the weekend. My weekends going to be miserable. The only number available is to the national office, they never return calls or emails. I hope they enjoy their weekend after leaving me in unbearable pain without the prescription.

Please follow his advise and you will be back to living your life and being yourself again. Not all conditions and people respond the same way to medications and he works to find the most appropriate healthplan and medications that will work best for you. Dr. Greene is a kind soul and born to be a doctor. In this day and age with much regulations doctors have to monitor and this practice takes that seriously. I wish I had the right insurance or funds to self pay and be able to see him again. He's the best pain management provider I've been treated by. He also has a highly talented and educated staff working with him. I'm no stranger to pain. I was a heptathlete from age 10 to 24 and twenty plus years later have much arthritis throughout my spine knee and shoulders to show for it. I've survived 2 car crashes into my car and a moving truck collision headon into a tree during a bad storm in which I suffered broken teeth and severe soft tissue injuries, sjc joint dislocation and vertebral strains that took over a year to treat and still being treated. I've had about 12 surgeries over the years to include my back and knee. So I understand pain from patient's perspective very well and how it can take over your life. I understand pain because of my Masters degree in biology: molecular science. Dr. Greene knows how what to do to get you back to your goals. I hope you will get to be seen by Dr. Greene. He takes time with each patient and really listens to each patient. Dr. Greene continuously researches to find innovative and the best treatments for his patients. I saw Dr. Wagner because my DO thought I might have a torn labrum in my hip, as well as chronic…read moretendonitis in my shoulder (I know, I know, I'm a mess). Dr. Wagner appears to be the authority for Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, which might help with the tendonitis, and was recommended for prolotherapy of the hip. As an aside, if you're looking to do RPR, make sure you don't have Aetna, as they are the only insurance that doesn't cover this procedure. My DO (who I've reviewed here) refers his patients to Dr. Wagner for prolotherapy of the hip because he does it under fluoroscopy (a continuous X-ray), which is important because the hip joint is such a deep joint you don't want to go in there blind. Dr. Wagner seems like a nice guy, and very knowledgeable in his fields. After the first visit he ordered an MRI with contrast. At the second visit he checked out the MRI and it turns out that I don't have a torn labrum so he was unable to help me, and by the time the second visit came around I had my tendonitis under control. However, his demeanor and his apparent abilities gets him four stars in my book, although it should be noted that I have not had that much interaction with him. One thing that should be known about him is that when the diagnosis deals with something that falls outside his expertise he gives very conservative advice. For example, if one were to have femur-acetabular impingement he would advice no running, rowing, cycling, or any weight lifting that puts additional load onto the hip, even if it doesn't cause pain. This is not a bad thing, but a good thing, playing it safe with issues he's unfamiliar with is very reasonable. I merely mention this because I feel like it should be worth noting.

It is interesting. I left a review on Dr. Wagner before but now it's gone. So posting again!…read more Agree with review on horrid bedside manner on other review sites. Run. Away. From. Here. I have NEVER had a medical professional speak to me like he did. Ridiculously condescending-in fact I couldn't believe I was in an actual Dr.'s office. He informed me: 'we know more about you than you realize. Oh yeah, we know all about you. More than you know...' Experience was horrible, just horrible. I went home and cried. I would never go back to this man nor this practice. I asked for details on procedures & he refused to share any info as I'd seen a different Dr. in the practice (once) some 4 years prior- and he said - you'll have to go back to prior Dr. and see what he thinks. When pressed for details on injections he just said 'we'll put in a little bit here and a bit there'- whatever the other Dr. you saw thinks. So I paid a consult for him to say nothing, be horribly condescending throughout the visit, send me back to another equally bad Dr. who I would obviously have gone back to if I'd liked initially.  I don't want to be contacted by anyone at NSPC, in fact I never want to visit an NSPC again.  I did end up finding an amazing regenerative doctor elsewhere. (I have never taken opioids/pain killers not was I seeking any from this doctor)

From the moment we met Dr. Gaski he has been a pleasure to work with. He is attentive, answers all our questions, and has great bedside manner. The African American x-ray tech is absolutely amazing we hit it off with him from the beginning just due to his personality. His x-ray room is also nice and calming with the lights. I gave 4 stars due to the front office staff. When we arrived for our first appointment they were missing paperwork from the WC company and didn't even have him in their system even though we had a confirmation of appointment from the insurance. This caused a lot of undue stress for my fiancé after just being released weeks before after being in the hospital for a month. I believe this error should of been caught and taken care of before we arrived at the appointment. Luckily our rep from the insurance was there to fix this error for us otherwise they were going to cancel our appointment after we just drove for an hour to get here. also At the end of this appointment we scheduled our next follow-up. I called the week prior like i normally due just to confirm appointments since we are seeing so many doctors. I was informed then that they had no follow-up appointment scheduled for us. How did this happen when I scheduled it with the front desk before we left for our last appointment..smh So luckily they could get us in but it was at 8am instead of the 11am we requested the first time which caused us to have to get up at 5am to ensure we made it there on time because again we are driving for an hour to get here. Overall, everyone in the back has been amazing and very helpful if we needed something (notes, etc.). I believe the front desk staff could learn to be a little more proactive and friendly. However, the overall experience was good.

I came here for follow ups from the ER & to get casted. They were fantastic and had (and still do) all safety measures in place. I also came here for PT, but that's a separate review. Now I am back with my son who sprained his ankle. Yep, *sigh* Dr. Creech is a foot & ankle specialist and let me just tell you, she is AWESOME! She was very thorough, highly skilled & knowledgeable, & had a great manner about her; she & my son were engaged in fun and friendly banter & I enjoyed watching it. He felt really great being in her care, which was wonderful to see from a parent perspective. If you need any kind of medical device to assist with your healing, they have it and they have a casting room should you need a cast. My son needed a boot to transition him off his crutches and they fitted him right then & there & we hobbled out with his new boot on! We also got the step down ankle brace at his follow up. They have one of their physical therapy offices sharing the floor with them so should you need any PT it's super convenient. The entire staff is really wonderful here! If you need any kind of orthopedic needs I would definitely highly recommend this practice without hesitation!
