Beverly travel service, which is not South Shore Travel does not provide good business. I traveled with this group back in 2013 and just last weekend to the Cincinnati Music Fest. Just about everything went wrong, from booking us at the wrong hotel, not giving us the (V.I.P.) tickets we paid for to even the bus transportation was unprofessional. On top of that we didn't even get our itinerary until 5 days before our departure day!! I will never travel with this group again. $600ish dollars was a total waste. I travel with Beverly Travel for Cincinnati 2024 this was the trip from hell he was very unprofessional rude .this men was nice till he recived our money them the night mere begin. with no refund with had no choice put to go .he would not let any one talk to him just to ask a question he say read your itinerary put that shit was not accurate . never said welcome or any greeting talk to the bus driver with all kinds of foul language. we are all that travel with me over 70yrs of age had to put your on luggage under the bus and get down and get it out . he had worker on each bus .he never told them to help never ask if we want any refreshment going down .no water any thing he said we had to give the diver 10.00 dollar tip apiece and to have the correct change for he won't have any .and that was a must. I ask the diver did he get the tip he said not what i think with 50 people on the bus he should got 500 .00he said no were near that. so he keep are $ .aim pretty shore more review to follow 20t most people said they would write a review . never experience any thing like this . never again .rate a 0 wish him much more blessing he need it. read more

Beverly is horrible. I travelled to Cincinnati with them for the Jazz Fest last July. I was late paying the remainder of my fee, so they charged me a late fee. I had no problem with that. HOWEVER, the owner was very curt for no apparent reason. That should have been the first sign. We left Chicago AT LEAST 2 hours late. There was an issue with the buses. But instead of letting the full buses leave, we all had to wait. Then, we stopped 30 mins outside of Cincinnati for MORE THAN AN HOUR for a restroom stop...yes we had bathrooms on the buses, so why we stopped, who knows! A four hour trip took seven hours!! This, of course caused us to be late for the concert! Did I mention we had to wait for one of the rowdy party-goers to go back to her room because she forgot her "key" (later found to be her alcoholic drink). Sooo, I missed most of Chrisette Michelle's Performance...one of my favorite artists *tear* Saturday was more of the same, we were late to the concert a second time. Honestly, shouldn't I have been refunded my late fee in light of this?! To top it off, our hotel was horrible (the Knight's Inn). Many of us were placed in the construction zone of the hotel, complete with torn up carpet, wallpaper, and the sweet aroma of mold. The one plus about the trip was that the organizers (all except the owner) were very friendly and accommodating (to the best of their ability). I rarely observed the owner converse with anyone outside his immediate circle. His general disposition was very off-putting. However, most of the patrons were friendly. Oh, how could I forget...there was a final debacle during the departure. Upon the threat of there not being enough room on the bus for people who'd travelled down on the bus, patrons almost fought. The police were called and we were delayed TWO hours trying to figure out how to get everyone to fit on the buses. I recently had the displeasure of traveling with this travel service which is also known as South Shore Travel with a business address of 7337 S. South Shore Drive in Chicago. I attended the Cincinnati Music Fest from Chicago. Issues started with my group of 4 when a few members of my party were told they hadn't made payments. After getting that resolved, we found out just a few days prior to travel via a mailed itinerary, that the hotel we selected had been changed without prior notice. We also found out via that itinerary that we were expected to pay an additional $8 per person to the driver of the bus upon boarding the bus. These issues were minuscule in comparison to what happened during the first days concert. Upon being seated at the event, we were informed by staff at the ball park that we would not be sitting on the field as my party and I had paid an additional $40 person to do. Instead we had been provided with tickets for regular priced seating. After the concert Mr. Alonzo, the trip coordinator boarded the shuttle bus taking us back to our hotel. At that time, I brought to his attention that my party received the wrong tickets. He stated to me that the error was my fault and that he could not exchange the tickets at that time. I mentioned to him that I understand the tickets could not be exchanged however I did want to make sure he was aware of the error. He continued by telling me that I should have told him about the tickets earlier. I then explained that I was informing him upon my knowledge of the error. Clearly couldn't notify him during the concert as I had no knowledge of where he was. He went on to say if I had purchased tickets at a box office I would make them aware of an error right away. He also stated that he didn't have time to deal with my issue, that our conversation was the reason why he doesn't ride the bus to these events and then informed me that I should talk to a Freddie regarding my ticket issue as Freddie handled all the tickets. I guess Mr. Alonzo forgot that he personally handed me tickets at the address I mentioned above. When I asked him for a description of Freddie and how to reach him, Mr. Alonzo told me that, I'd just have to find Freddie. Once I'm back in my seat on the bus Mr. Alonzo continues to speak about our conversation very loudly. I mean after being dismissive to me, he has the nerve to continue discussing the issue. This behavior came from a man who had the audacity to include a statement in two pieces of correspondence about insuring that trip goers use proper etiquette by saying "please thank you and I appreciate it." In short the service of this travel company was horrible. I have never dealt with an individual that was so rude, unprofessional and lacking customer service of customer service skills. I never made mention to Mr. Alonzo about being compensated for the $40 per person my party paid. He offered his unprofessionalism simply from me informing him of the error. Because of his actions, I will not use this travel service again. I would also like to mention that my complaint is not the only one from this trip. There was quite the buzz from other trip goers that had issues. So much so that over 50 trip goers had a meeting in the hotel conference room to discuss there displeasure and next actions.This speaks volumes about this company and it's service or lack there of. read more

I will never ever ever use Beverly Travel Services again. This was a trip that I was looking forward too for a long time and the experience was ruined once "The Man" took my money for the jazz festival. He was nice and sweet when I made my deposit. I had left several messages for someone from the business to give me a call so that I could pay off my trip. I found this convenient due to my busy work schedule. No one ever called me back until it was after the deadline in which I had to pay late fees for the trip not being paid in time. The young lady was rude to me. When I took time from my job to go to this place, I was calm but The Man was extremely rude to me and threatened to call the police because I was sitting there being cordial and professional with my demeanor. If anything, I should have called the police on his rude and threatening manner. I went ahead and paid the fees because I wanted to go on this so called wonderful trip. It was very unorganized the day of the trip. The coordinators was late as well as The Man. It took us 10 hours to get to Cinncinati due to the tickets not being organized as it should have been done already. We got to the hotel (Hyatt) at 5:30pm and was told that we had an hour to get ready before the bus leaves at 6:30 for the concert that starts at 7:30. Let it be known that we had not checked in. We had to pay an extra 25 dollars at checkin for the room. Although we asked for a double double, the hotel gave us a king bed. We missed the first two performers for both nights in Cinncinati due to the buses being late and it being the coordinators fault. The buses were filthy; most of the coordinators were rude and inappropriate (tongue kissing and sucking passengers breasts). Sorry, but the truth. This was the worst trip ever. I could go on. If you go to the jazz festival do not use this company. DRIVE! The Man did not even apologize let alone none of the coordinators. read more

Beverly Trvavel Services is terrible. Rudy, who oversees the travel agency was very nice to me & my frieds when we put the initial deposit down. By the time final payment was due, he said there were late fees added if not paid by a certain date. I could tell his demeanor & attitude became more rude and sarcastic. The trip we took was to the Cincinnati Music Festival July 2010. There were 6 or 7 shuttle buses from booked for Beverly. The buses were 2 hours late leaving & then we stopped at the Flying J Truck Stop in Indiana, the food was not good. We didn't arrive until 5pm that Friday evening & the concert started at 7pm. In addition, the hotel Beverly booked was 30 minutes away from the stadium. which didn't make much sesne. Everyone had to shower & get dressed, then wait on the bus to take us to the stadium. On Friday night, we missed the first 2 singers of the concert. Everyone unsatisfied & had complaints but Rudy was nowhere to be found during the trip,he traveled separate bus & stayed in a different hotel. He had hired people that rode of each bus to attend passengers. The advertisement was misleading about wine or champagne, they had wine coolers, beer & water. The DVDs played were bootleg, the driver was lost on several occasions. On Saturday, while waiting for the shuttle bus to come back and pick us up from the hotel, we missed the first 2 singers...AGAIN!! There was no pool/splash party as indicated. There was no food or drinks, only Pepsi to drink...lol. They used the hotel's pool but no party. Coming back home on Sunday morning, there was another scheduled stop, this time at Golden Corral in Indianapolis BUT everyone doesn't eat buffet food. Us passengers tried to vote against not stoping sinxe we were so close to home. Again, word from Rudy through his hired help was NO. Passengers got off the bus scattered about trying to find a restaurant to eat at. So many people went to Dairy Queen that they sold out of hamburger meat. I would never, ever travel with them again. I hope people read reviews before booking with them. I saw a few warnings before paying off my balance. But the $100 is non-refundable, so I decided to go ahead and go. This is a lesson learned and hope this helps other people thinking about travel with Beverly....DON'T DO IT!!! read more

Really this service doesn't deserve a rating at all, and this is just how poor the service was with this group. I went with them last year, and of course everything from the beginning of the trip to the end was late or eliminated without explanation. The owner has poor customer satifaction ethic (called one of the guess out of her name a "Bitch"). Group filed a complaint with BBB, and he evidentally has a friend with the agency. I say this because they (BBB) assigned our (Bus Group) complaint a file, and without any investigation etc. the case was dismissed. I will never use this company for anything, not even pet service (lol). My husband , and myself were totally disatified, and most of the assistance had better customer service than the owner (they tried to give excuses for the flaws). It was a two day concert in Detroit a day of shopping in Canada , we made a couple of stop to have breakfast and a restroom stop u don,t want people who have to have a bowel movement to use the bus restroom. Me & a group of friends tried Beverly to go to the Cinni fest as well, and it turned out to be a trip from hell!!!! The owner Rudy is very RUDE to his patrons once he has your money.You WILL run into alot of problems thru this company.Rudy does not even take the time to greet you or try to solve the problem.His staff has to take the cover & heat off the ppl. Hi, I used this service because I seen the flyer, it was my first and last time ever using BTS. The owner Rudy is rude and very unprofessional! We signed up for a quad Rm me and my sisters my friend was the 5th person to pay so that meant she could not stay in our rm. When asked did he let her know he says, "hey you tell her". around a week later he was asked again did he explain to her the rm situation, and he said NO, I thought yall should do it thats yall friend. We called our friend and let her know he then told her to tell us we needed to mind our business because he didn't need our input. Later my sister came out of our rm which left us with a $25 balance (which no one called to tell us). when I asked him about it he said he wasn't about to deal with my pettyness and that he would put me behind a coloum in the stadium. (I should have asked for a refund then) but it was a week before the concert and it was my birthday trip. Next, when we arrived at the hotel (The Crown Plaza 1132 Chester Rd) it smelt like a sewer throughout the whole hotel! The rooms were crapy and to top it off we were 40min away from the Paul Brown Stadium. Friday concert upon leaving there was no instructions given about where the bus would pick you up when leaving, they left around 25 people down there, the bus got lost, and my sis & bro didn't get back to the hotel until 4am that morning! Saturday at the so called pool party, the Dj (from Milwaukee) was horrible he continued to play rap music for an adult crowd. There was no volleyball or any other contest for that matter, just people hanging around the pool. Saturday night concert was okay those that didn't want to get left took cabs (which cost around $40). All of the attractions and after parties were downtown (we were 40min away) so that meant no hanging out. We got back to our sewer hole of a hotel round 2am and the so called DJ was just setting up for the all white steppers set! so we were pumped, we went and freshened up got down there bout 2:40, and the DAM thing was over in 38min!!!! and you couldn't bring any thing to drink in their ballroom. The DJ blamed Rudy (the Owner) for calling him late, we never did see him! Upon leaving we stopped at the Golden Corral in INDIANA (on a Sunday Afternoon) with 5 bus loads of hungry black people! (Diaster)!! And I almost forgot the other have of our party was booked at the Marriott so we never had a chance to interact with each other because we were in two different places (for my BDay I had a party of 25 people). The best part of the trip besides the concert was the Driver and Host of our bus (#5) we had a ball on the bus thanks to Poonie and Jerome! This was a diaster of a trip and Rudy didn't care again his level of professionalism is horrible, he doesn't know how to talk to people or deal with the public. I will never use Beverly Travel Service llc. again - an embarrassment to Black Business owners Our party of seven booked the 2010 Cincinnati Music Festival trip with Beverly Travel Service. I considered myself well traveled and have never seen such a poorly managed trip. We departed an hour late. This was due to the coordinators being late to the seven buses. We (55 people) were force to de-board so he could take attendance. I felt this could have been better handled by him walking down the aisle and checking us off. Also, this resulted in two people in my party losing their seats and being moved toward the back of the bus so he could hold seats. Our coordinator Thomas was rude, hurried and unhelpful. He chastised us and the driver for boarding before he arrived. At one point he informed us that he had been doing this for 15 years. Yet he could not handle our comments or complaints. (Later he apologized and worked hard to serve us drinks, play movies and music. But, I reiterate he lacked conflict resolution skills). At our scheduled breakfast stop (a truck stop buffet) our time was reduced to 30 minutes for the 350+ passengers to eat and re-board (an impossible task).Most opted not to eat or go to the adjacent McDonalds. At next our rest stop 40 minutes away from Cincinnati were where delayed over an hour while the owners sorted the concert tickets for all 350+ passengers. They sat in my seat so we (4 people) were forced to wait outside in the heat while the other 50 passengers (AND 6 buses waited) watched them. At the end of the session, they realized they didn't have enough tickets. Personally, I don't understand why this wasn't done prior to the trip or while we were riding down the highway. In all it took 12 hours to get to Cincinnati. We had to scramble to our room and return downstairs to board for the concert in an hour. Frustrations continued to rise as all 350+ people try to use 3 elevators to get their rooms. Most of us, hungry and rushed missed the opening act as we stopped outside the venue to get food from street vendors. On Saturday, we were told our shopping trip would be cut short because there was a party for us from 3pm-6pm at the lounge in the hotel. When we arrived at 3:30pm (yes the bus got us back late) hotel management informed us that they were unaware of any party. By the way, the hotel (Marriott King Gate) was nice but isolated from everything. There were no stores or restaurants nearby. Also, we heard stories from other riders of someone being kicked off the tour for complaining, others without rooms or tickets. One of my friends was told "to get her a$$ back in line" by a rude coordinator while waiting at Sunday's buffet. The trip's lack of organization and unprofessionalism ruined the experience and added unnecessary stress to what should have been a great weekend. For the money we spent we could have book with another agency or driven ourselves. read more

I agree with the previous reviewer not to use Beverly Travel Services mainly because of Rudy's condescending attitude as if he's doing you a favor. The Macy Music Festival suggest Beverly and another company and because the other company wanted cash because we wanted to book on July 14, we decided to go with Beverly. Rudy did tell my husband and other travelers we were staying at the Hyatt (downtown Cincinnati) and when I saw Blue Ash, OH on the bulletin and just called to confirm because I knew most hotels were sold out and was happy when I thought we actually were booked downtown, Rudy proceeded to scold me and tell me how fortunate I was to be able to go at this late date and everyone wants downtown but when they are told the price they can't afford it. Rudy didn't charge my husband the full price (he can't say why) and then when I wanted to pay the balance, he charged me another 3% on $31. The hotel is overbooked and we were told Rudy was overcharging for the hotels and people were already upset about transportation. We are driving ourselves and look forward to not being scolded because of what he has done for us. The tickets are the only positive item from dealing with Beverly Travel Services which we could have got ourselves and will the next time we decide to go. Rudy talks to you as if you're uneducated and have no clue in traveling, but with all the complaints I'm hearing...I think its Rudy that needs to be educated in customer service and travel services. Rudy will never receive my business and I will spread the word not to use them ever again. read more
