When they opened back up, they called and said my kids had to come in one by one & I was not allowed to come in. They explained that they would have suits & masks on & I said no way. My kids are not coming in alone, first, & especially when they can't identify the adults. There was no compromise. So, I said we would come back after the madness ended. Two years later, we went in for cleanings. I have never accepted fluoride & we only do x-rays at the minimum my insurance allows. This was nothing new, but this time Booker seemed offended & expressed his frustration to me. I said that was my wishes & we hadn't had an issue before, but he wanted to argue. I declined, finished the cleaning & left. 6 months later I went in & needed to get an old filling replaced. I had just had a doctor's appt where she told me to be careful what type of filling I get for medical reasons. When I expressed this to Booker & asked questions about what he uses he said he wanted my doctor's name because he was going to tell her she didn't know what she was talking about. I said that is very aggressive & he proceeded to tell me that I just need to let him do his job. He could not tell me what type of filling material he used or any health risks. He then started ranting about people who ask too many questions. I declined for him to do my work. His attitude & aggressive behavior is disturbing. He has an attitude like no one knows more than him, but he can't even tell you the materials he uses. I decided then I would not return. The next time my husband took my kids, the receptionist asked him if he was competent enough to make follow up appointments or if she should call me. Extremely sexist & just plan rude. My kids then did not return. My husband was the last holdout, until now. This week, he has an emergency. He was in a car accident & cracked a tooth. He called the office at 11 am to find out they had different hours for spring break... they closed at noon. However they didn't answer the phone at 11 am... he left a message to say he had an emergency. Nothing. No call back. He called again today & it says now that they are closed until Monday. He then received a message saying they wouldn't take care of him until Monday. Who closes their office for Spring Break? This business is so unprofessional. We're done.

Let me start by stating that my review is for both Dr. Jackson and Dr. Snider as they work in the…read moresame office and I have seen them both. I have been going to both dentist for about 20 years. I started out seeing Dr. Jackson (as it was his practice to begin with) and a few years ago I started going to Dr. Snider (I'm not sure how long she has been with the practice, I would guess at least 10 years). I have had quite the full range of dental services at their office. I started in elementary school with various retainers and then braces in middle school, I've gotten cavities filled, sealants (to fill/prevent tooth grooves), two root canals, various teeth bleaching (both the trays that whiten all your teeth and a special kind of bleaching where they drill a small hole in the back of the tooth and stuff bleach inside - something I had to do as a result of a root canal that left a tooth slightly discolored), and the typical every 6 month appointments for teeth cleaning and x-rays. Everyone, the receptionists, hygienists and doctors, are extremely nice and provide great customer service. They have great hours, I've been there as early as 8am and as late as 6 or 7pm. I grew up downriver, so Trenton was a normal choice for a dentist. I have since moved to Berkley, but still make the 45-60 min drive to go to their office, so the flexible office hours are appreciated. I think they accept most insurance plans, I currently have Delta Dental insurance and while I don't believe either dentist is "in network", my insurance still covers 80% of the services, so a typical 6 month appointment only costs me $20-30. I highly recommend both dentists and all the hygientsts! There is a third dentist, Dr. Parker, who has been with the practice for a few years, but I've never seen her. I would imagine her service is equally as good.

He asked for $719…read moretwo years ago. and even though I didn't owe him any money at this point, I paid, but I paid $800 because I thought that was what I owed based on another bill from him. So I overpaid, thinking I was square, then I get another bill. I sent them a pic of my $800 credit card payment and thought that would take care of it. But nope, now he's asking for the $719 once again. I don't know how the business manager runs the business but she certainly can't add or subtract. So sorry I ever walked into that office because they are nuts.

Dr Penn is a very dishonest man! I was quoted a price for extensive dental work. After the original…read morequote, he doubled the total cost. I was shocked! He saw how upset I was then offered a courtesy discount. I thought he was really helping me out. But 2 weeks after that, I got a bill saying I owed another $800. After many attempts to figure the bill out, i went to the office to try a face to face discussion. Dr Penn, the hot head that he is, started yelling and insisted I owed even more on top of the $800!! The only reason I had the work done was because he was quoting me a great price. And he seemed nice. Was I ever wrong. One more thing. I don't want to sound insensitive but he has very shaky and unsteady hands. I don't think there was a moment he wasn't shaking I should've walked out then a s there, but the quote was that good. Little did I know it would turn into a nightmare!! Not only that, but he did such a poor job fitting my new teeth together that 4 crowns kept falling out, multiple times.
