They had a bed bug infestation and a roommate brought a mattress in after I told her not to. Once I got rid of that roommate, I threw out all my old furniture and bought brand-new furniture. They had a takeover by Manager Marta Bonella. I was warned about her because I had a friend who worked in real estate. Needless to say, she mismanaged the entire situation. I got brand new furniture after the infestation was totally eradicated. This senior manager Susy came in to sweep it under the rug. She said to me, they didn't replace the carpet because I was on Section 8. She later denied it and said to me. Don't put words in her mouth. I said I don't put words in people's mouths unless they already fall out. Well, unfortunately, all my brand new items were destroyed by the people that Marta Bonella hired Marta was transferred out of there but she should've been fired. She covered up the mess along with the head of maintenance, Ed Rivera Then they had this little man come in to replace Marta as the manager for the building. He was totally incompetent. After destroying all my brand new furniture I had renters' insurance and they said they wouldn't cover me because of poor workmanship. Going back when I first moved in the head of maintenance Ed Rivera told me Whatever you do don't ever call. The Board of Health, obviously they must've had problems before. Because they cover up their big messes when they screw up. I also got a heads up that when they were changing the name. They were gonna try and get rid of all of the people who had Section 8. I know what they did to me was criminal. They all worked together, including the mayor, the police, and the state health Inspector. I videotaped the way they left my apartment and it looked totally ransacked. They destroyed everything I owned in there. It's like starting my life over because of all of the destruction.I tried to get help from bootstraps, but unfortunately, they were in on it too. They never returned my calls. I showed videos and photos of my apartment of how they left it. With chemicals sprayed everywhere. In my cabinets in my kitchen, my closet is in sealed bags, in my bathroom. Places that should never have been sprayed. It was vicious and intentional. I said to the Senior manager that they broke every fire and safety code law in the book by the look on her face she knew I had her and they were in trouble. The evidence was right there. There was no denying the destruction.After she left my apartment they had some way of deleting everything I had online. I had photos and videos of all the evidence of the damage that they had done to my apartment. To make it even worse my identity was stolen. I was crippled on the Internet. My credit was destroyed. I had a great standing with paying my rent, but they destroyed that on me too, making it very difficult to rent in that area or any area because of what they had written and it wasn't even my fault. There's nothing but a corporation that likes to stomp out people like me. What they had done was a major setback as I was almost ready to get off of section 8, so I wouldn't need it. They're very careless in what they do and if they screw up, they will cover it up and they did. They were all involved with the cover-up. They're very dirty. Accusing me of what they did to me making it out like it was all of my fault. Renters beware because corporations have big money and they have ways of burying the dirt that they've done. The chemicals were so bad I couldn't even stay in the apartment. I was staying at my parents' house and going back and forth. I couldn't even keep my cat in there. eventually, I moved out and that's when I discovered they destroyed my credit my identity was stolen, and my valuables were stolen.They have a track record for it and ways of burying it. We were really glad to renew our lease at River Rock Residences. We moved in 12 months ago after…read morespending a couple of years at one of those "ultra-luxury" buildings and our experience at River Rock has been so much better. Not only are the apartments generous in size but the high quality of the cabinetry, the granite countertops, the appliances such as the gas stove, and other finishes make a difference--plus it's the first apartment we've had with a gas fireplace! Never mind the easy trash disposal and the secure garage parking. Not that we use our car every day as the building is located less than a mile from the Salem commuter rail. What really makes River Rock stand out to us is the management. Tom, the manager, makes sure the building is well maintained and any time there's an issue, he takes care of it immediately. Plus, we like the fact that we've had the same manager throughout our time here--Tom's really terrific. At other complexes where we've lived, the high staff turnover in the management office caused a lot of problems and confusion. Here, Tom is on-top of issues and has great follow-up skills. As two professionals with stressful jobs, River Rock has been a perfect fit for us!

Im told I can purchase a new shower head and the maintenance people will install it. I don't think I should have to spend more money than I already pay but maybe I will because its bad.
