BEWARE PRICE GOUGING My bicycle made a quarter size dent on a chauffeured Mercedes. After exchanging insurance information, the driver said he would get an estimate from Beverly Coachcraft since they've been going there for 30 years. The $7400 estimate was declined by my insurance company. Crown Coachworks estimated the repair cost to be $800. Yes, I screwed up letting by carelessly letting my bicycle fall on a luxury car, but come on...the penalty is disproportionate to the crime. A minor dent like this would be considered normal wear and tear upon vehicle lease return. read more

Originally selected this luxury body shop because of its high ratings, and everything was off to a great start upon arrival and til dropoff of my vehicle. I decided to have them order the parts to my Tesla before I dropped it off in order to minimize the time without my car. Once they recieved all the parts I dropped it off and it ended up taking over a month to finish the repairs! The worst part was the serious lack of communication. Do not take your car to this shop after an accident. They gave my daughter an estimate for $9,000 and my daughter told them to proceed with the work. My insurance company said to transfer her car to one of their approved shops. The owner lied to my daughter and the insurance company and said he had already taken the car apart and started fixing it. My insurance company does virtual inspections, but he insisted on an in-person inspection which caused a 4-day delay; then he was sick for three days, all the while charging a whopping $400 per day for storage fees. He called my daughter and told her to get it drivable, would cost $15,000. The car was never fixed, and he held her car hostage for $15,000, most of which was storage fees. He demanded a cashier's check or EFT for the balance due. My daughter got in the car once it was towed home and it was driveable! Steer clear of this shop! read more

My 2006 E350 was damaged in an accident on the 405 when a guy lane changed into me, impacting the rear quarter panel and door on the right side. I was referred to Beverly by Armound Loukasians at WI Simonson in Santa Monica, who services my car. He recommended them highly for quality of work. Beverly specializes in Mercedes Benz, BMW, and other high end vehicles. The day after the accident, I took the car in for an estimate and was promptly taken care of by Tom, who did thorough job of assessing the damage and estimating repairs. After waiting over 4 weeks for settlement of the claim from the other guys insurance, Anchor General, I received a low ball offer which was less than half of Tom's estimate. I took the car into Beverly and they handled the rest, negotiating with the insurance and obtaining the necessary supplements to complete the work properly.
