The Director on the other hand is an awful human. My son had been at this daycare since June 2022 and in January 2023 we were told that his spot was only 'temporary" and would end Feb 8, 2023. The Director swears that we had the conversation and that she told me this was happening and that the witness to our conversation was her daughter slash Co- Director. Not a very credible third party. She also told me jokingly that she should really start putting this in writing because parents always seem to be surprised when she tells them their child's spot is temporary. My son had a very difficult transition into daycare and my argument was why would I have put him through such a difficult transition knowing it would only be temporary?! Clearly we did not know. During our final conversation, after her telling me I needed to be "respectful to the staff" until his last day which blew me away since I was nothing but respectful to her staff, she told me over and over again how much they did for my son and how accommodating they were to him when he started. Now being an Elementary School Guidance Counselor myself, I said to her "if you are working with children, you SHOULD be doing everything that you can to accommodate any child's needs?" If that is not your. mindset then you have no business working with children. In conclusion, if you do choose this child care for your child, make sure you have it in writing that his or her spot is permanent.

We have a few daycare learning center places we hold play dates in the local area and this location definitely scales up there! Clean, spacious, friendly staff. Looks like a great option for daycare/preschool; they accommodate 6weeks to 5years. Love how the center is sectioned away from the busy street being on the backside of the shared business building. The teachers at the center so clearly love what they do and take pride in their work. Our little guy is greeted warmly every day and even when drop offs are hard I know he's in the best hands. His teachers work hard to partner with us through challenging behaviors (toddler tantrums, oof) and have always been willing try out new things and provide feedback on how he's doing. It seems as though everyday, the team is just trying to "make it through the day". Every morning at drop-off, the toddler and infant classrooms are clearly over ratio and chaotic. There are constant teacher callouts. My daughter's teacher is out numerous times a week for one reason or another. This forces my child to be placed in a different room, proving that there is no consistency. The teachers that do show up everyday, are CLEARLY burnt out. I feel bad for them. Additionally, a majority of the staff lack any educational expertise and seem to view this job as glorified babysitting. Management seems to hire anyone who walks through the door just so they can enroll more families and make more money. This puts a heavy burden on the good staff. No quality curriculum is taking place. My kids never come home with any artwork or projects. The kids are just not learning anything. The center is filthy. I don't think anyone knows how to sweep or mop. I have had to step through my child's classroom to get their backpack and I am disgusted with the state of the classrooms. I truly believe the teachers are so burnt out, they are just too tired to clean. And it shows. There are a handful of wonderful teachers who seem to care about the kids; but unfortunately, that is way overshadowed by the negative vibes in this place. There is a child in my son's preschool classroom (Kairo is the child's name) that has extremely aggressive and violent behavior. My child fears going to class because of him. I have spoken with the Director Heather numerous times about this and it seems nothing is being done and my concerns are being pushed aside. This child needs special help that he cannot get in a large group setting. I know multiple parents have the same concerns about this child. I am in search of another daycare and soon as I get a spot, I will be dis-enrolling immediately.

Special thanks to the children who joined us in the first show to play tambourines, maracas, and drumsticks. In the second show for older children, others volunteered to demonstrate their new ventriloquial skills after choosing a puppet of their choice from the big drum case. Volunteers were encouraged to say their first name into the microphone and try moving the puppet's mouth three times as they said "One, Two, Three" with their new puppet voice. Special thanks to Mr. Jarod, the teacher who volunteered to be our HUMAN DUMMY! He wore our ventriloquist face mask, played the "ringy, dingy, thingy" and "sang" our "No Bully Zone" original song with Chelsea The Chimpanzee. (No, they did not sing at the same time... we're not that good!)

My hesitance to return to work and separate from my infant was quickly resolved after meeting the caring teachers at ABB. After 5 years of experience with this school I can confidently say that they provide a safe and loving environment. Not to mention the quality of education is unmatched. I've been told by our pediatrician that both of my boys are meeting their developmental milestones at an advanced rate, despite my oldest son experiencing a late start with his speech skills. His attentive teachers were quick to identify this milestone delay and offered various resources tailored to his needs. Thanks to ABB's dedicated staff my son was able to build a large vocabulary, read, and write by the age of 4! We couldn't have overcome this delay without ABBs skilled and diverse team. Their curriculum also enables children to exercise independence, kindness, and respect. I can't even count how many times I've been pleasantly surprised by my sons initiative to attempt self care tasks and display manners (unprompted!). ABB also prioritizes community involvement. Not only do they host multiple food drives/fundraisers, but my personal favorite is when the local fire department comes to introduce themselves to the kids and teach fire safety. My kids loved it too! ABB has continued to exceed my expectations despite COVID-19's relentless obstacles. The classrooms are always kept clean and organized. My children don't suffer from any food allergies but I do notice that ABB takes allergen exposure precautions very seriously. If ABB did any better of a job I wouldn't be able to get my kids to come home at the end of the day
