The rent payments consistently get to me after the 15th of the month (even after signing up for direct deposit). Additionally, I have to arrange for my own maintenance person because they use expensive vendors and have a policy to send someone out for issues under $300 without your approval. I would not recommend this company. I believe they are very unprofessional. The comment below is completely untrue. I am sent an email every time my tenants pay. They have never paid late. Again, more unprofessional behavior by this company.

I highly recommend them they have helped a friend with a short sale, and I recently have hired them for the property management of my house in Charlotte. The staff and owner Yuriy are so friendly and easy to work with. They get back to me immediately with any concerns I might have and have answered all my questions (and trust me I had a lot) when it came to my house. My house was rented immediately after they took it over and I know that it's in good hands. The best part is they have taken all the worry away from me as a homeowner now landlord. I don't have to worry about a thing and I know my house is in good hands. Whether you are selling, renting, short sale, or any other kind of real estate transaction you can count on the team at Carolinas Metro Realty. They take their business seriously and treat their customers right.

    I lived in Legacy Ballantyne for two years. The first year, I lived in a townhouse centrally…read morelocated on the property. During that time, I seen five (yes I counted them) palmetto bugs aka water bugs aka roaches in my town house. I just figured they got in from the outside somehow. One day I was approached at the mailbox by a woman that lived in an apartment on the other side. She asked if there were roaches in my places because she was seeing them everyday in her apartment. I really didn't know what to think because I didn't have that problem. When it came time for my lease to expire, I decided to move into an apartment to save some money. This apartment was located on the backside near the wooded area. I seen five roaches on move in day! I chalked it up to the place sitting empty. Mistake...let's just say that I stopped counting the first week. I made sure that the drains remained closed. At one point I had the exterminator coming weekly. One night I seen a roach go into the drain hole at the top of the sink. Then I started taping up every place I thought that a roach might fit! Fast forward months of speaking to the office and just being told that it is the area. That's possible, I mean I did open the front door one night and one ran in... As soon as the lease break fee got down to a more reasonable amount, I went ahead and broke my lease. After taping up everything and being very careful not to let roaches in from the outside. I could not figure out how they were still getting in and I didn't want to live with roommates that weren't paying rent! I did eventually find out that roaches were coming from under the toilet! A family moved in a little after me because they had seen so many roaches in their apartment on the other side. All I could say was...sorry they beat you to this side...Some of the other issues: Noise- the family upstairs had me thinking that I lived in a war zone. They jumped and stomped from 4am to 10pm. That showed me how cheaply the apartment was made. I would have to take a broom and push the recess lighting fixtures back in. The water would shake in my cups when the kids really got going. Maintenance- there was a lot of turn over in maintenance when I lived there. Depending on the issue it was normal to wait several weeks for someone to come and take the first look at the issue. Parking- get a garage. Office staff- there was a little turn over. I found it annoying that they really didn't see the pest issue as a problem. Sure they would put you on the list for the exterminator BUT shouldn't someone look into why the bugs keep moving in. Vandalism: I believe its done by the kids and they're slings shots. Garage windows broken. The front window to the clubhouse house was broken and remain that way for months. Oh!!! I almost forgot. Brown water! There was crayon brown water in the apartment when I moved in. They came and flushed the hot water tank. It remained clear for about a month but gradually went back brown. The second maintenance guy took a look and said that it couldn't be fixed, the tank was the original and needed to be replaced. He said to put in a ticket for a new tank and let them know that he said so. Well, they sent him back out to flush it again... Not sure if he did, I wasn't home that time. This second flush did nothing. So then I had to put in another request to finally get a new tank. Months of dealing with a water issue that could have been resolved before I moved in. In the meantime, the office staff let me know that this brown water was not harmful to me...... The good: the apartments are reasonably priced. I'm sure management will refute my claims. I am in no way trying to slander the complex. I am speaking of my experience.

    Management needs to refund over $280.00. A front line agent named "Nicole"states that their track…read morefloor (fake wood strips) were damaged. I showed a very kind, tall African American man who is part of their Maintenance Team the entire apartment and asked about the floor which had light marks of no consequence. During my final months in the apartment, I had to check under the bed and behind bedroom furniture in addition to stuffing towels under the bedroom door after a 3 foot-long black gardner snake slithered up my bathroom counter to the mirror. Nicole's rebuttal was to allege that after 18 complaints of noise from stereos, the pool and someone smoking marijuana that: 1. 'No other tenant reported the marijuana smoke. 2. 'There is no Maintenance man named 'Sam' at the apartments. Both arguments are irrelevant. The snake incident alone warranted a full refund of my deposit. I will pursue this matter vigorously. Read the remaining complaints herewith. This is an apartment complex to avoid until they reconfigure their attitudes backed by some degree of reasonable intelligence. When the matter is resolved, I'll return to report it here.
