I shop here regularly and truly enjoy the experience. The Village Store is part of our quaint Main Street area not to be overlooked. You can shop for housewares, local foods, boutique clothing and jewelry, toys, Lake Life and Lake Norman local gifty items, like tshirts, pillows, tea towels, etc. There is so much to look at here, and trust me, you will find something you love! The staff there is very friendly and the store is so well stocked. The prices are very fair compared to other boutique style stores, but I'd say the Village Store has the biggest selection of home and gift items in the Lake area. They have begun putting out their fall decor, and they really have some beautiful displays during the Christmas season. I really enjoy shopping here.

Operative word: TRANSFORMS! During one visit, she accessed my 'situation.' Then, together, we walked through the process of siloing: 1) Upscale Consignment, 2) Resale, 3) Donate, and 4) Discard. Within minutes, she organized and color-coded my closet (by style/piece). In addition to recommending a specific hanger design (I immediately ordered 100 of them from Wayfair), she ensured my pieces were facing one direction with uniform hanger placement. Rawr-some. It's not a big space, but you can certainly score designer duds for less here. Don't expect giant discounts (unless you're shopping their sale section)...look forward to more like 10-25% off typical boutique prices. Again, these duds are still brand new and many in season. The inventory changes often as does the selection of different items in varying sizes. Brand wise, I spied items from Three Dots, Trina Turk, Citizens of Humanity, J Brand, Michael Stars and more. I went to Fabulous Frocks last Saturday as the first of four bridal appointments that day. Fabulous Frocks is a consignment bridal store that carries both bridal and bridesmaid dresses. They sell once-worn and off the rack designer gowns sent in from either designers or other local boutiques. Because of their concept, they're able to offer great quality dresses at discounted prices. I worked with Amanda that day and she was very helpful. After trying on a few dresses, she pulled a few more after noting the elements that I liked. With each dress, she pointed out the details of the dress, including any imperfections, and helped me picture what it would look like bustled, etc. which all helped me make my decision. I ended up finding the one - it was the first one I tried and kept going back to :) - and cancelled the rest of my day so I could spend it doing other fun things with my mom. I had a great experience at Fabulous Frocks and would recommend anyone in the bridal market to take a look here before making their final decision.

Faboulous Frocks was the 3rd store we visited, and I ended up coming back the same day to purchase the dress I tried on. I was not sure what to expect, since it looked like it was a consignment bridal shop. The name "consignment" did not do it justice, because every dress I tried on was gorgeous. I was also able to order the dress I tried on brand new (I had the option to buy the one off the rack, but since I am getting married in October I did not feel pressured to take that one home right away.) Amanda and her team are amazing, and I think in the end their customer service is what made me select them over some of the other dresses I had in mind.
