The Bettyhill Viewpoint is a scenic viewpoint in the northern portion of Scotland along highway A836. I had driven from Keiss to John O'Groats and was on my way to Hope, on Wednesday 10 July 2019, when I noticed an area to pull-off with what appeared to be some signage as well as a car or two. I had been hoping for a place to stop that had some information about where I was and appreciated the signage. One informational sign denoted the spot as Bettyhill Viewpoint and had a cross section of the landscape with mountains marked by name and elevation. Another sign communicated it was dedicated for people who drowned in Kirtomy Bay. The view of the landscape was nice and sheep were out grazing. read more
