Dr. Ordonez and her team have given me many valuable recommendations for preventative care that have truly improved my dental health. They take the time to explain every procedure in detail, answer all of my questions, and make sure I feel completely comfortable before moving forward with any treatment. What really sets them apart is how genuinely caring and attentive the entire staff is. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with kindness and treated with respect. Appointments are efficient and on time, and the quality of work is outstanding.

I went to Mission Dental Group for a lower premolar filling on Feb 10, 2026 with Dr. Rosa Marie…read moreOrdonez. The visit was because a prior filling had come out while flossing. As a concerned patient, I asked for basic guidance on proper flossing technique so I could avoid this happening again. Dr. Ordonez refused and said that kind of education is "usually for cleanings" and that I should schedule one instead. That felt dismissive given it was directly related to why I was there. During the procedure, an instrument contacted my upper tooth and Dr. Ordonez said "sorry" at the time. That evening, after the numbness wore off, my wife noticed a chip on that upper tooth that wasn't there before. The next morning (Feb 11) I called the office to report it. The practice manager/front desk (Randy) was dismissive and said, "we don't know when we can get you in," and suggested 2 PM. I explained 1 PM was the only time I could make due to work. He said "maybe we can get you in" and wouldn't confirm until I called back again and pushed for it. Before being seen, I told the front desk I was uncomfortable returning to Dr. Ordonez and asked to see a different dentist. That request was refused. During the Feb 11 visit, Dr. Ordonez was defensive and denied responsibility. When I said her instrument hit my tooth the day before and she had said "sorry," she said she didn't remember and would need to "check her notes." I was also told the notes weren't even completed yet, which didn't inspire confidence. When I asked if the edge could be polished, she said she didn't want to because I would "just come back and complain that it's too short." She also said words to the effect of, "I can't help it if you don't take good care of your teeth," which felt like blaming me rather than addressing what happened. The tone was dismissive and confrontational. A small composite repair was placed, but the way this was handled--from the front desk to the dentist--was not professional or patient-centered. I escalated this to the owner, Dr. Growney, and his response was to defend the office and minimize what happened rather than address the conduct, the refusal to let me see another dentist, or the dismissive communication. The overall message was essentially: "We did nothing wrong," which felt like enabling this behavior instead of holding anyone accountable. Mistakes can happen. How you handle them matters. In this case, the defensiveness, refusal to accommodate, and dismissive responses from the dentist, the front desk, and the owner were the real problem. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this practice.

I came in knowing I had a few fillings that needed to be done and the Dr was very patient and explained the different options (needed and optional) and the front desk walked me through the payment options. Staff are all very kind and personal. Highly recommend!

I still had pending treatment that I put off due to a loss in the family, and hadn't been back in quite a while. Then one day, my office gets a call from them that went like this: My coworker "thank you for calling how can I help?" Soothing "I'm calling in regard to mutual patient (my name)" Coworker "uh yes, you know she works here too, right?" Soothing "Yes, I am aware. Do you know when she will get the rest of her cavities filled?" Now, this is technically not a HIPAA violation as I am a patient of both practices, but it was very off putting to have a medical office call my place of work regarding my personal treatment. I would have preferred if she would not have disclosed what she was calling about and just ask to speak with me instead. Up until then I was pretty satisfied with the work I had gotten done, and absolutely loved the assistant who helped me- she advocated for me to have more nitrous (I am VERY anxious about dental treatment), and that I am deeply appreciative of. TL;DR: good office is you are only a patient! I highly doubt they would call YOUR place of work, but this is just my experience!

Nevertheless, she asked me why I was calling. You don't review your messages before calling someone back? On top of this, she was rude, short, unfriendly, and uncooperative. She told me Soto is only doing cosmetic and no general dentistry now. Told her I need 4-6 implant crowns. She said he's only doing veneers and full smile makeovers. Are crowns not cosmetic? I don't know how these people get hired with such abysmal people skills. In any event, I won't ever know if his work is any good or not, only that this office staff was a huge turn-off. Train your employees properly, people. They are a reflection of you and your business.

First off, they are constantly rescheduling appointments last minute for no other reason than the doctors want to adjust their schedules and leave early. This is super annoying when I plan my workday around this and have to adjust and find a new time. Second, on my visit last year they had to do a major filling, when I pointed out that area on prior visits they said it was fine, and all of a sudden it was a major problem. While maybe things could take a turn for the worse in 6 months, I think they weren't assessing it the right way. Hard to believe we go from fine to major cavity in 6 months. On my last visit, which was also rescheduled, the hygienist seemed to be very new and didn't use the little mirror while doing the cleaning, seemed like the cleaning was very light and not thorough. When I asked if the dentist was coming to check-in, they said she left, and since she saw me 6 months ago that it was all fine. I'm used to the dentist always checking in and making sure things are fine. Hygienists are not qualified to check for cavities or compromised fillings.
