I needed a last min haircut and this place was available. Times like this I'm truly grateful for platforms like Yelp that can pair me with quality businesses like this. Marlene was great and did a clean fade with no drama. Wait time on a Sat afternoon was 5-10 which is perfect. Place is cash only so swing one of the neighboring banks beforehand :) read more

Better Barbers is one of those local, unassuming spots that just gets the job done right. No frills, no hype -- just solid, reliable haircuts. They take walk-ins, which is a huge plus when you need a cut without planning days ahead. Service is quick but never rushed, and the barbers know what they're doing. Every visit has been consistent with clean, sharp cuts at a reasonable price. Easy in and out and exactly what you want from a neighborhood barbershop. Definitely a dependable go-to if you're looking for a good cut without the wait or fuss. read more

Great barber shop. Tammy and Cade are always on point. You get a great haircut in a timely manner. They don't waste time socializing with each others or other customers who come to just hang out. Price is great for the service you get. Highly recommended. read more

Best barbershop in La Habra! We love that walk-in appointments are only $25. My husband was looking for a new barber and now he gets consistent great haircuts every time. read more

I have been getting my and my sons' haircuts with Tammy for over 15 years. She is great... She remembers my preferences and is great with children. I am glad to have found this place, and it is very convenient and economical. read more

Tammy is the best! Always does a good job. Also friendly. She pays attention to detail.

The ladies there are nice and it's usually a quick walk in. The only thing I don't like is they only take cash.

Don't have much hair. I asked nicely for a number one and square back. She did a great job. Christian music was played in the background. Interior was clean and it had a lot of the old barber lights. I felt good after my hair cut. read more

This is a great local barbershop that still maintains very reasonable prices. All Barbers do a very good job. It would just be nice if they can post what days the Barbers are there and what days they are off. There's been times that my favorite barber isn't there when I go get a haircut. Most people when it comes to certain things like haircuts, they like going to the same person. Other than that, it's a great place. please consider listing the names and days that each barber is off work. read more

Amazing service, on all chairs. Old school, barber ambience. Lately Iv bin going to cade. Shoutout to @fadebycade keeping me fresh on plenty of occasions, From shows ,events , ect I just let him do his thing to . Like your the artist handle. A guy never fails. Thank you cade read more

Cade gave me a buzz and a beard trim/line up. Service was great he was accurate and fast. Quality cut for the price. Price was on par for a cut these days read more

I was looking for a barber shop yesterday and came across this place. The service was great and both barbers did such a great job on my boys. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for a good barber in the area. My oldest son has really thick hair so it was nice to find someone that could cut and blend his hair right. My youngest son gets the top cut with scissors and the bottom with clippers. I recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Came in because the price was good and other reviews spoke highly of this place. I like a no frills environment that can get the job done quickly. However, the lady in the middle chair did not greet me as I walked in even though we were the only two in there at the time. First time having a haircut that hurt as it was getting done. No attention to detail, no symmetry, and poor customer service. Go elsewhere. read more

This place used to have really good customer service but unfortunately some of the barbers who were here are gone and service has fallen way down. I went the other day for a haircut, walked in about 545. The so called owner barely said a word to me but I sat down anyway and waited. At 6PM , he rudely says after this cut I'm closed. I asked him why he waited 10-15 minutes to say anything and he responded, I thought I had another worker here, but I guess she left. What?? I told him that is pretty unprofessional service and he responded why?, because we are closed? I said no, because you saw me sitting and waiting for a cut for 10 minutes and then decided you were gonna tell me your closed. I asked for the owner to speak to him and he replied he is the owner. Well, "owner ", you won't be in business long with that kind of service. I will never walk in there again. The one star is only because I can't leave 0. read more

Living up to their names with many barber shops located in La Habra and Whittier this has always been my go to barbershop. Tammy is a sweet lady with skills for cutting any type of hair. My go to barber is Cade though. He makes life easy with scheduled appointments so there is never a wait. He's also helped change my hairstyle when I got a new job and it's changed my life completely. You won't regret giving Cade a chance on giving you a better or new look. Their shop is unmatched and a hidden gem. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed. read more

I am new in town, and my husband and son were in need of haircuts last week. Came here as a walk-in and we were greeted right away . Marlene gave both my husband and son haircuts and they were both very happy. Marlene was so friendly and she was able to squeeze us in during her busy morning. We will definitely be returning! read more

I have been here two times. Within these two visits I saw all of the barbers deliver great customer service to every customer who walked through the door. Whether you are a regular or if it's your first time, they give you a warm welcome. Plus, they play impractical jokers on tv! Haircut has been spot on both times. I plan to make this my new regular barber. Hidden gem! read more

My goto, by-appointment-only barber in this pandemic era, better barbers was my first haircut in 3 months. If your style is more on the modern side I'd highly recommend an appointment w/Cade - he did a helluva job executing a half to one fade + a tapered back. Nice, straight line as well for a clean part. As mentioned it's by appointment only and the fee is $25 before tip. Really professional, good customer service w excellent barbers. Also safety protocol was neat and well coordinated, only 2 patrons allowed at a time in the shop so you are always two barber chairs apart. 5 big stars read more

DO.NOT.GO.HERE. I normally don't rate this low for anything, but this place takes the cake. The haircut was nothing like the picture I showed, they messed up parts so bad that I didn't want them to, the back part of my haircut wasn't apart of my fade in the back, and my it was the worst haircut of my life. My ears pop out more then wearing red at a funeral. Specifically do not get your haircut from the lady with sparkly nails. Never again. She sucks, find somewhere else because if she calls you up for a cut, run for the hills. I'm not even sure if she's certified to do her job. I would give a 0 stars if I could. read more

Marlene was by far a great stylist. She quickly greeted me, was very friendly and treated me like family. She recommended products I should try for my hair and told me why she recommended them. She cleaned up my beard and made me look and feel great! The shop was nice and air conditioned, plenty of parking in the back, and clean work spaces for the stylists. Overall a great haircut and pleasant experience. read more

I went BB for the first in many years and was impressed. They're a no frills barber shop with a beautifully decorated shop. Marlene cut my hair with excellence. What they charge is very reasonable. I will be a regular customer now. read more

Lady in the middle chair really screwed my fade. Shows me the mirror. At that point, what?...you can't ADD hair! Fade was too high, no symmetry to the top. Go somewhere else. Good thing I can wear hats at work. read more

Walked in on a Sunday. Yup, that's right they were open on a Sunday! We had never been there before and my 16 year old son shows the hair stylist a picture of what he wants and 20 minutes later we were walking out with exactly what he wanted. His hair was cut by Marlene. My sons hair was long, she had a lot to work with and did a great job. My kid like most teenagers can be very picky, I'm happy to say we both left extremely satisfied. read more

I have been going here for 30 years and have never had a complaint. The barbers have always been friendly and always try to give the customer what they request. Oddly, even though I have been going there for years, I always thought the shop was cash only. This post says they take other payment forms. Nor did I know they offer a senior discount. If they do, they certainly don't broadcast those facts. They usually have lower prices than their competition because the shop is no frills. You are paying for service, not fancy decor. read more

If I can give negative 5 starts I would!!! We stopped in today because we needed a haircut. Marlene was my sons barber. When all he asked for was a 1/2" trim on the top and a tapper, she pretty much gave him a fade and cut more than a years worth of hair on the top. Didn't even cared for the irresponsible job she did. Doesn't she know the difference from a tapper to a fade. His hair was long enough that reached the tip of his nose. I didn't noticed it, if I did I would have stopped her and snatch the clippers off. My son is still in shock and was just crying of frustration!! All bad! read more

I just booked my appointment for this Wednesday with Cade. I've always appreciated that he takes his time with his clients, apart from providing the cleanest of cuts. I have been a long time customer here and have always made my appointments with Cade. I have no complaints to this day. The other barbers have always been extremely friendly and kind to me regardless. I have referred my friends here and would recommend anyone to visit this shop if you are looking for a similar experience. read more

First time here and Cade gave me the cleanest buzz cut, mid fade, bald fade I've had in a longgggggg time. As I sat in the chair, I knew just by how detailed he was that the cut was gonna be clean and it was was! Shoutout to Better Barbers and thanks Cade, I'll be coming back here often read more

Great place to get your haircut for a good price! Cade and Marlene do an awesome job at giving fades!

I started bringing my young boys here about 15 years ago and now my boys are young men and they bring me here. This is our go to place for haircuts and they opened up again and are practicing safe COVID-19 guidelines so wearing a mask is required ; so call and make an appointment so you don't have to wait but walk-in's are accepted if they're not busy. Tammy is hard worker, she is a trooper, she is doing here best to keep the place opened and is the only barber their today. read more

First time customer. It was time for my son to visit an actual barber shop. I'm glad we stopped here. Marlene did a great job and my son is so happy with his new style! I really liked this place...ample parking in the back, great cut, minimal wait time, and the price was reasonable. read more

My dad needed a haircut so I decided to look on yelp for a barber nearby. I found Better Barbers. First of all, my dad got the best haircut I've ever seen. It made him look so much younger! His eyebrows were trimmed and he was given a shave and a massage. He had never been treated so special at a salon or barber shop as he did here. We will need to go back once his hair grows out again. I highly recommend Better Barbers. read more

I've been a bit nervous on where to take my two year old son. I chose this place because of the high reviews. I didn't catch the barbers name, but she was a pro with my son. She was fast and kept patience with my son moving around. I did what I could to help... He wasn't too crazy though. He ended up coming out with a better than expected haircut. This place is really close to my house so that's a plus also. Will be coming here again for my own haircut soon. read more
