Little Wildflowers exceeded our expectations. And their awareness of how parents feel entrusting their children to someone else was beyond what I had expected. Our son was in a phase of 'stranger danger' when we first met Ms. Maria, but he felt immediately comfortable with her, which was a sign for us. Initially, we wanted to start with just a few days a week and gradually increase, but thanks to the integration period at LWF, within a few weeks he was happily attending full days and loving it. Both Evelyn and Maria work incredibly hard and are true professionals. There have been weekends when my son wanted to go to LWF. Statements directly from my little one: Me: How was your day at school? LO: It was great, just great! Me: Do you like going to school? LO: Yes, I do! Me: What do you like about it? LO: I like my teachers and friends. He always comes home happy, and we are so thankful for LWF. They even helped potty train our son, something I expected to be much more challenging, but like everything else, Evelyn and Maria made that transition relatively effortless.

Little Wildflowers Preschool has instilled this idea deep into their moral fiber so that you - the parent will know without a doubt that they are always doing everything in their power to keep your children and family safe. Safe from viruses, predators and/or all dangers alike. This private preschool is female owned and operated by two highly experienced individuals with over 10 years experience. They will give your children the highest level of education, care and LOVE while keeping their program fun and exciting for their developing minds. With a HUUUUUUUGGGEEE backyard for outdoor fun, exploration and exercise your kids will get the perfect balance of indoor/outdoor time. Anyone who is in process of looking for a preschool for your children I leave you with this advise. Read their school policies. Read about their covid policies. Ask them questions about these policies and their program and if you agree with it all then send your kids here - you wont regret it! On the other hand if you don't agree with any single policy at all, find a place that fits your views better because there is no leniency here for any parent who thinks they will come and challenge the school. Thank you Maria and Evelyn for building a safe and protected environment for the children!

Our son has been with Michelle for almost…read moretwo years now, and we couldn't be happier with her. - Michelle genuinely loves and cares for the kids. - Her program is fantastic! Our son brings home projects every day. They explore and learn through music, dancing, art, books, walks, and so much more. They even raise real butterflies and release them outside. My 2-year-old knows more about metamorphosis and chrysalises than I ever did. - Michelle is licensed for more children but chooses to care for only three at a time. This allows each child to receive exceptional attention and care. Smaller group also means significantly fewer sicknesses for kids. We have friends in bigger daycares and their kids seem to be constantly sick. Michelle is very diligent with cleaning and health issues and our son has been sick only a handful of times in 2 years. - Michelle has also been an amazing partner for us as parents. She helped us navigate so many milestones. Potty training was incredibly easy because of her! We trained at home for one weekend, and then she took over at daycare - and our son was potty trained. Our family feels incredibly fortunate to be part of Michelle's program. We truly cannot recommend her highly enough.

We knew our daughter was always safe and well cared for when she was with Michelle, and even more - it was evident that Michelle cares very deeply for all the children she watches. Our daughter learned so much while with Michelle and she helped guide us through so many pivotal developmental milestones. It was important to me that we felt like she was getting individualized care and that was very much the case with Michelle. She is licensed to care for more children but only takes three at a time meaning each child gets so much love and attention. We are so appreciative and thankful for the time we had with her!

Mixed Greens is a fantastic preschool. The director Heather is one of those impressive people that…read morenot only creates the best environment a child could have the pleasure of existing in while at school, but she is also able to communicate and empathize with parents (no small feat). The 12 child / 4 teacher setup at the Hoen campus is pretty special, especially during Covid times. We made the decision to send our 4 year old back to school despite the risks of the virus, it was initially a hard choice to make, but knowing the numbers and the care that the school is taking to keep all the kids healthy. Heather has been incredibly thorough in not only creating a medically advised Covid protocol, she has also sent emails out answering all the questions parents have sent in, AND kept herself available to field others via email and phone. She has been just as careful in handling the air quality issues we have been dealing with (2020, you can just cool it now). I am blown away at the amount of time she spends communicating with parents about what's going on, what to expect, and how their kids are doing on a daily basis. Our son loves the school and feels very at ease there. After his first day when I was picking him up he was sad to leave and said, "Mama, can I come back here?" At his previous preschool he was always sad getting dropped off in the morning and it was brutal, so this was music to my ears. Then that same night as he was drifting off to sleep he said, "Mama, I love my new school." Totally unprompted on both accounts! We had looked at Mixed Greens online when he was just a baby, but never got around to going to an open house, and we missed the window to get him on the list. By a few strokes of luck we finally got a spot now that he's four, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have it. I know Mixed Greens (both campuses) on average has a two year waiting list, so don't dilly dally, go to an open house and get your kid in the list!!

The teachers have an impressive amount of child development experience while also having incredible personal skills. Our daughter loves going to school and we love seeing her grow in the environment! The owner/operator, Heather, is on her game. It is obvious as soon as you meet her that this is her life's work. The school runs more professionally than most schools I've seen. The school embodies Heather's vision that children learn through play, art, gardening, and music. Experts agree that early education has the most impact on a child's life when the days are filled with ample opportunities for young children to use and hear complex, interactive language; the curriculum supports a wide range of school-readiness goals that include social and emotional skills and active learning; the school encourages meaningful family involvement; and they have knowledgeable and well-qualified teachers. This is basically a description of Mixed Greens! Therefore, we are very thankful to be a part of the Mixed Greens family!

His TK teacher has already complimented us multiple times on how well he manages his emotions and develops his creative ideas, and we know that comes directly from his experiences and teachers at JCC SoCo. We can't say enough good things. His teachers Sarah, Makayla, Celia, Amanda, and so many others are deeply invested in our son's growth. You can tell they really see each kid as an individual and care about nurturing their interests and development. The quality of a kids experience is so clearly their top priority, it shows in everything they do. We love how much time the kids spend outside, all the art projects they did that we'll cherish, the healthy snacks, the overall attention to detail. The school is really thoughtful about documenting what the kids are learning and keeping communication open with parents. Whether we had questions about potty training or working through big feelings, the staff was always willing to have real, productive conversations. Our son made wonderful friends there, and the whole place just radiates warmth and love. Even though he's moved on to TK, we'll always feel like part of the JCC SoCo community.
