She asked how I felt about massages and that she knew an excellent place. I told her I used to get them from time to time but hadn't been happy with the service as of late, and finished up my work. A few hours after finishing I got a text from Shayne. That I was gifted a massage and to set up my appointment. When I got there Shayne and I talked about what hurt. She mentioned that my client noted my shoulder, but wanted to address anything else. Shayne actually teaches yoga as well! So I showed her movements, and where in my body hurt when I did them. She explained that my left hip might need more some attention too. This was a first for me. Having the consultation let me relax. Not having to worry about getting my shoulder getting worked on and enjoy my time on the heated table. The massage was very comfortable and smooth. Shayne made sure before starting that the face rest was comfortable, that the pillow under my shins was positioned correctly and that the table wasn't too hot for me. Their office staff is the worst I've ever dealt with! They will not return phone calls. I've left…read morevoicemails and talked to my kid's providers, explaining that I don't understand something and need help from the office/administrative staff. And instead of picking up the phone to resolve the matter their office resends the generic text message they've already sent. If I didn't understand the text the first time, why would resending it help? And when I kept pushing they tried to resolve the issue via text instead of calling me, as I had requested. Not everyone wants to communicate sensitive information via text message! When they finally called me the matter was resolved within the same day, after months of ineffective asynchronous messages. Similar problems with their accounting staff. Again, can't get ahold of anyone on the phone. I was told that they don't bill insurance but they could give me the forms to do it myself. After months of trying to get what I needed I gave up. I had a kid in crisis and that's where my focus needed to be. Not in trying to chase members of their staff down. Years later they called me because of a problem with one of my payments to them (so their phone does work!) and while on the phone I mentioned that I never got what I needed. From then on I received an automated bill delivered to my email. But why now? Because I was furious? It feels so gross to have to get mad to get stuff done, blech! I would never ever return here. The office staff is rigid, rude, and disorganized, if they're even present at all. Our provider was great, but I'd rather find a provider with a competent administrative staff.

Joy does NOT have the ability to do your work for you and lastly Joy does NOT by any means sell herself short on the services that she provides. Joy, you are an absolute god send. Seriously.... I have been thru various counseling all of my life but that didn't resolve my issues nor did it really give me the tools needed to actually resolve them. So since I had tried that previously and pretty much got the same result, I knew I had to try something different. So, what did I do? I went to my trusty yelp and reached out and received several responses. I had a few phone interviews because I needed to find the right person to help me thru some heavy stuff. I liked Joy right off the bat. You can simply tell by the tone in her voice that she is an angel. I signed up for 6 sessions with Joy...and after my 6th session, I signed up for 6 more. And I threw Joy some crazy challenges (nothing in my life has EVER been easy)....there were issues that she flat out told me she couldn't do anything about (I appreciate the honestly more than you know) and there were some issues where I really feel like I challenged her but guess what? SHE NEVER GAVE UP ON ME. SHE NEVER TOLD ME SHE COULDN'T WITHOUT AN EXPLANATION (again she doesn't have a magic wand). Instead what I received was far far greater than any gift...Joy gave me the tools I needed to see where my deficiencies came from and also gave me some positive insight as to how to fix the behaviors and this is something I now work on EVERY SINGLE DAY and it's made me a better person. So if you feel like you are stuck, and don't know where to go, and you have tried traditional methods (and they haven't really worked) I would seriously urge you to give Joy a call...set up and appointment and more importantly work on your (O&*%(Q*&)%(.
