I had followed a previous doctor to 4 different clinics around the city before she left for Toronto. My son and I did a meet and greet with Dr. Rana Al-bayati and found her to be very efficient. I have seen her now 5 or 6 times in the last year and half and even just the simplest of visits i.e. prescription refills, she takes the time to ask thorough questions. I had put off a few things like some blood work before my appointment and she won't just let you slide if she needs the results. I can procrastinate like the best of them but If I wanted to move on to what I wanted, I had to do what she needed. Very impressive! Maybe not at the moment (haha) My 95 years old mother was not feeling well one day and of course I panicked and did not want to take her to any walk-in centre, so I phoned the clinic and asked if we could just walk in. They said yes and I rushed down and because she was not a patient she was seen by the next available doctor when they were available. Dr. Alaa Ali checked over my mom and found she was stable, and we went for blood work. The results came in and we were notified to come in and now my mom has a treatment routine. If anyone wants to know she is doing very well for a woman of her age. We just came back from Los Cabos yeah. The receptionists require a shout out as they are excellent to deal with. This is clinic is small and I wanted to keep this info to myself but how can I when they are just super terrific.

She had booked an appointment at this clinic in advance and to my surprise, was able to see someone within a few weeks. Upon arrival, my client checked in and we waited. I spotted a sign on the wall that encourages patients to notify front reception if they've waited for more than 30min. I'm glad they have this sign because after waiting this long, at least my client felt justified to complain. I watched everyone else in the waiting room come and go, so I'm not sure what happened there. I liked that music was playing and there are nice photos of some of the physicians on display. I sat in on part of the meeting between my client and the doctor, who was rather lovely. She was soft spoken and friendly. To my surprise, the doctor informed us that the clinic does not provide referrals. My client had specifically asked that question on the phone when booking the appointment and she was told otherwise. At least my client was able to get some important tests done and felt good afterward about being able to express her concerns without being brushed off.

I have been struggling with anxiety my whole life and as a teenager, had a severe eating disorder. After exhausting all other treatments, therapy, mediation, exercise, I was ready to try anti-depressants. Naidu hardly even looked me in the eye, showed zero empathy to my situation and had the nerve to tell me my situation was potentially hormonal. Thank you for being the most stereotypical male doctor I've ever come into contact with... I'm surprised he didn't ask if I was on my period while he was at it. I told him I'm a highly educated, competent woman, and am advocating for myself. That I deserve to be treated and hear my options. He proceeds to tell me that if I'm having suicidal tendencies, to go to a hospital (the psych ward) for treatment. I said that is not where I'm at, but simply want the care I need and to ensure I am working the system to the best of my abilities while maintaining his code of ethics of course. He prints off a blood sheet test and sends me on my way to get hormone testing.. This man lacks any emotional intelligence skills and clearly only cares about getting his patients out of his room as quickly as possible. The worst care, the worst empathy, the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor.

Then there will be many, many, many stairs. Which is why I took off a star. This is a bizarre location to ask the ill or mobility-impaired to come to, and is not wheelchair friendly. After the stairs, you will go down one very long hallway. At which point you will think "am I going the right way?". Yes you are. Go down the next very long hallway and eventually the room will be on your left.
