We went here specifically so I could get my eyelashes tinted. They called the morning of the appointment to say that they wouldn't do it.
When we got there it was very run down. We waited with others on a former church bench. My husband got a haircut and I was taken to a small room for a brow wax.
There was a chair that was conferted to a bench. It was very wobbly. The tech pointed out that it was caused by a missing tile on the floor. I told her that I was not comfortable laying on that bed. I asked for a chair. No. Could we do it elsewhere? No.
I laid down and heard all about how this beauty college only cares about stylists, not estheticians. It was cheap. They had taught themselves how to give brow waxes. It was really off putting.
When I went to climb off the table, it was so off balance, it tipped over. The tech said, "Oh my gosh! The table just went right over with you!" Soon, a bunch of ladies ran in. I wanted to get up, but a woman I couldn't see said she "outranked" me. My husband took a picture of the place on the floor without tile.
Next came firefighters and an ambulance. I kept asking if I could leave. Eventually, the firefighters got another call. The EMTs let me get up. We left - they didn't charge us, but promised they would call to see how I was.
The EMT said she had been working in ambulances since 2004. She believed that my three foot drop onto hard tile would be okay. We signed some paperwork to leave after being advised to use Tylenol and a heating pad.
My husband's haircut wasn't even squared off in the back. My eyebrows are a mess. I feel like braiding them would have been a safer option. read more
