Have you ever met someone that you knew was operating in their perfect life calling? That's Miss Laura. I truly cannot say enough good things about this teacher. Not only is she a ray of sunshine every moment she interacts with a child, but my son has grown by leaps and bounds since being in her class. His speech has increased drastically, he is much more independent, and Miss Laura does an amazing job of constantly keeping me informed of his milestones. Thank you Creme and Miss Laura for all you do!

We were thankful for the opportunity for our kids to build relationships with the staff as well as the other students and no longer be "just another student" at the large public schools. Our kids found great mentors in their teachers and coaches and were able to be heavily involved in multiple sports, fine arts, drama, academic team, National Honor Society, and more.

I understand things will happen with toddlers, and that isn't what shapes my opinion of this facility... it is how I was treated after removing my daughter from the facility. When I returned the following day to get my daughter's things and to return the key fobs - the director of the facility (who had previously been very nice), was now rude and icy. I stood in the lobby for a few minutes while someone got our things from the classroom and she didn't even ask how my daughter was doing. You would think that someone in the childcare industry would actually care about THE CHILD. Not here. And don't be fooled by the "schedule" they give you (which indicates circle time or other quieter times) or how they describe the toddler rooms as being 6 kids and 1 teacher... the older toddlers are in a room with 12 kids and 2 teachers. There is no structure, no downtime besides eating and nap time. They just ran around all day. My daughter was there for 3 hours a day and her 6 days at this facility has traumatized her.

Montessori focuses on the whole child - the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. OKC Montessori was founded on the principle that every child can thrive when given the proper educational foundation. Montessori children progress at a rate determined by their abilities and needs. Though learning is self-paced, it is not random. The teachers work with the children individually, in small groups, and as a whole class. The individualized approach is provided based on a small student-to-teacher ratio. Enrollment is limited to an average of 6 students to 1 teacher. Activities are given for hands-on use and presented both visually and orally.
