I went to a Friday night service while on vacation last summer and loved it. I had just started…read moregoing to temple earlier that summer (now I am converting), so I was still pretty lost during services most of the time, but the service was upbeat and easy to follow, without breaking the flow for the people who knew what they were doing. The cantor was easy to sing along with and the rabbi gave a very interesting sermon. Congregants were engaged in the service. After the service, the rabbi made sure to greet everyone and didn't seem fake while doing it. I felt welcomed by the congregation as well and got some good nightlife tips for the rest of my night on the town. Overall, this place was great and gave me one of my first glimpses of a fun, welcoming Jewish community.

There was a menorah table, two guitarists singing and engaging the children and adults, hot cocoa, donuts, videos and prayers. The congregants were so incredibly nice and welcoming and at no point did we feel like outsiders. I did walk around and saw a number of pictures and paintings from children. There are about 8 class rooms as well as the synagogue and plenty and plenty of parking. There was a very positive vibe.

The teaching is relevant to living as a follower of Christ in this present world. People at our church are loving and friendly. I can not see attending anywhere other than Christ Church.

After a lot of research regarding churches in the greater Clayton area, I was spiritually drawn to…read moreClayton Community Church (Presbyterian PCA). I was drawn by the truth of the Gospel that is taught, the reverence of the worship service, the initial conversation I had with Pastor John Musgrave, and the alignment of my Christian beliefs with that of this Church. It is true, not full of "theatrics" and overtly "fleshy entertainment", but rather is a study and edifying preaching of the "reformed Covenant Theology" that is true to the Bible. The congregation isn't large, which I like (I believe the shepherd should know the names of all "his" sheep), and John does. If you are looking for a Church that teaches the true Gospel, has people that care for each other (and not looking for career contacts and such), and reverent, peaceful worship, I highly recommend Clayton Community Church. The Word of God is taught as you NEED to hear it and not as your carnal mind and flesh WANT to hear it. Peace!

The pastor does a great job with the biblical teachings. The church is clean and the members are kind and welcoming. I look forward to attending someday in the future.
