My family and I have been attending Clayton Community Church for about 15 years. When we started, my four children were young. This is a great church for families, not because it has a lot of activities and programs for kids, but because you as a parent will grow in wisdom and maturity as a Christian and be better able to love, train, and model for your children how a sinner can fail again and again and still go to God for forgiveness because of what Jesus has done.
For me, the most attractive thing about this church is that you can be real. You can be honest about your own struggles and sin because everyone else is honest about theirs. You don't have to be fake or pretend to be a "good Christian".
Here, I have been challenged to make sure that my beliefs line up with what the Bible actually teaches. I've attended church since I was a child and there were things that I had been taught my entire life that I had to let go of because I was shown that they weren't in Scripture.
At this church you won't find fluff, drummed up emotionalism, or false assurances that you're just fine the way you are. Rather, the teaching is deep, feeds your soul, draws you to Jesus, and gives you real answers from the Bible on how to live your life and think about things in this broken world.
