The interior is so beautiful and I was tickled to see a coffee bar! They have a fantastic gym and play area for the kids. I briefly talked to a few of the regular attendees/greeters for Sunday morning church and they were super informative and made me feel very comfortable about my thoughts of visiting. The place seems to be extremely organized and well thought out. They have plenty of parking and have easy access from highway 70. I'm excited to visit here in the future!

I came looking for community and a place to grow in my faith, especially through the young adult ministry, but things didn't turn out that way. I was removed from the youth adult ministry group by Kathy and Greg (the leaders for that group), and the way it was handled felt really hurtful and pretty petty, not very Christian like. There wasn't much understanding, just kind of a sudden door closing. Luckily I belong to a new youth adult ministry group and the people in the group are very welcoming and non judgemental. I'm not writing this out of anger, just honesty. I still believe in God and the importance of church, but I think it's important for people to know that the experience here doesn't feel welcoming or supportive.

My son changed his mind because it wasn't age appropriate or stimulating for him. The owner pushed my son and daughter telling them get going- and I chose a gift but she grabbed it from me and handed him something just to get us moving- The tables were set up for 8-10 and my children are 9&10... This women had no patience- apparently she is the owner of the church- we were only there for a few minutes and felt super uncomfortable. My children should not have had hands on their bodies and I told the staff they were assaulting my children- - This is a child that was looking at the toys and no one was causing any problems... we were targeted and told to move along. This attitude was terrible by the staff and the standers when visiting this church- This was about children- they were looking at toys and were not treated properly by the 'woman' that runs this facility- Lawyers will be involved

I was drawn by the truth of the Gospel that is taught, the reverence of the worship service, the initial conversation I had with Pastor John Musgrave, and the alignment of my Christian beliefs with that of this Church. It is true, not full of "theatrics" and overtly "fleshy entertainment", but rather is a study and edifying preaching of the "reformed Covenant Theology" that is true to the Bible. The congregation isn't large, which I like (I believe the shepherd should know the names of all "his" sheep), and John does. If you are looking for a Church that teaches the true Gospel, has people that care for each other (and not looking for career contacts and such), and reverent, peaceful worship, I highly recommend Clayton Community Church. The Word of God is taught as you NEED to hear it and not as your carnal mind and flesh WANT to hear it. Peace!

I was still searching for a church that was like mine in Florida since I had belonged to it for over 40 years. I attended for 5 weeks like the visitor cards said and the more I attended the more I fell in love with the worship and warmth of the church members. I had taught Sunday School for children in Florida as well as had taught at the school on the premises. I called my son at Moody Aviation in Spokane Washington as I wanted to get some input from him. He too like me had just moved to that state from Florida and had shared what he was looking for in a similar church. Yes, after rechecking on the internet this Amelia Christian Church continued to come up. He mentioned interviewing the preacher, great idea! I emailed Brandon and he returned my email then we spoke on the phone, and we made an appointment. After the warm reception from his secretary, Emily and other staff, I grilled him but who better should I talk to? We spoke for around an hour, perhaps longer, all my questions were answered. After living in south Florida for 53 years, moving to North Carolina (God opened the doors), my new home and great neighbors at the walk (everything was scary at times, but God let it happen) and then my church family at Amelia, WOW, I am at my earthly home.
