The appointment was made for the showing, my husband and I took our dogs for a walk so that the realtor could use the lock box and show our home. We came back to our block and down the road we saw Beth pull away from our home (leaving her clients behind in front of our home). We proceed to our front door, not realizing that the potential home buyer was waiting to ambush us. She approached my husband, complimenting our home and then she swiftly began to try to negotiate a price for our house. This is not how a home showing is supposed to go, in fact, it defeats the purpose of hiring a realtor. It's EXTREMELY unprofessional to leave your clients behind after a showing. Beth should have escorted them out, and left after them, so that we would not have to be subjected to this very intrusive ambush. We were not prepared for a stranger to accost us at our door with low ball offers for our house. We told her to please communicate questions or offers through her realtor and to please leave us in peace. She was rudely persistent, and we actually had to ask her to leave. Talk about being left with a bad taste in your mouth. This entire incident should NEVER be part of the home selling/buying experience. Perhaps Beth still needs to learn the importance of being in control of the dynamics of the showing, and leaving the home as you found it, without potential buyers hanging out in front of the house when she drives away. Considering the high commissions that realtors make for their work, we expect them to do their jobs well, and with the utmost respect and integrity towards both buyer and seller; person and property. This felt like an epic fail in both areas. She did apologize through our realtor, Andrew Bothe, when he brought it up to her, as he communicated this to us afterwards. Her apology acknowledges her error. Hopefully this won't happen to other sellers in the future.

Almost 4 years ago I purchased a house in Sonora to be a rental property. Shortly after the…read morepurchase of my house, I learned that very important known safety issues were not disclosed by the sellers nor their agent. After unsuccessful litigation, the cost to make the repairs outweighed the potential advantage of completing them. I knew I could not use an agent in the Sonora area after the litigation and looked outside the area. While looking on yelp, I saw a realtor named Scott Cary who had outstanding reviews from his clients. I phoned Scott who answered his phone and told him the circumstances around the property I had purchased. Scott totally understood my situation and said he would like to help me sell the house. Scott asked numerous questions and completed a market analysis to get the best possible dollar amount we could for the property I liked Scott's straightforward, honest, and no BS approach to the sale and marketing of my house. I subsequently signed on with Scott to be my representative in my home sale. Because of the known issues which had to be disclosed unlike the previous owners and agent, Scott walked me through the entire process and advised me of legal and moral obligations in my home sale. The house sale was not easy due to the previous conditions and repairs needed. We had a few offers most of which were not beneficial to me nor was there a good likelihood of closing because of financial issues of the potential buyers. Scott presented the offers to me and advised me of his opinion and thoughts about the offers including both plus and minus points. Scott acted in my best interest and guided me through the offers with knowledge, experience, and the presence to look out for my best interest. After several months, we finally received an offer that Scott felt was strong and had a great likelihood of success. Due to his recommendations, I accepted the offer and the house sale went through flawlessly and quickly. I want to say throughout the entire process which lasted quite a while, Scott always remained upbeat, undisturbed, very professional, and most important, looked out for my financial well-being during the sale of my home. I highly recommend you contact Scott Cary for all your real estate needs. I guarantee you won't be sorry and you will receive service beyond expectations, and no doubt greater than any other real estate agent!
