I was personally contacted by "Max Jose" to relinquish my birthday, full name, availability, and social security number to her so that she could submit my candidacy to her client in Nashua, NH. Careful never to entertain these phishers and scam artists, I asked "Max" how did she find me and what was the pay rate of this position in Nashua. Nearly 24 hours passed and "Max" finally replied that she'd found me on Dice dot com and that the pay rate was 35% less than the market value of my current location. I declined her offer and politely wished her luck in her search.
Three hours later, "Max" called my phone (sounded like she was under a bed in a wet basement), and struggled in her middle-Eastern dialect, to communicate with me, asking what was my best rate. One hour later, "Max" phoned again and asked about an acronym type of project management that I am not familiar with. As a hybrid PM certified expert, I am not familiar with all industry acronyms and asked the recruiter to describe / define the acronym of which she had inquired. She put me hold, toggled the call back to her client, and finally said she didn't know either. She then asked me to edit my resume and include this undefined skill on my resume for her client. I politely responded that a resume revision was not going to happen and told "Max" that perhaps this isn't a good fit since she nor I comprehend what her client is seeking.
By the way, if her birth name is "Max," my birth name is Nanda. LOL... read more
