That surgery was Dec 5th by a Dr in Newport Beach. He did my second surgery April 10th 2018 to repair my meniscus "the other surgeon sewed it down it tore right back up" Dr Van Der Reis repaired it properly. He also cleaned out mushroom size cyclone scar tissue at the ACL graft site. He is patient, kind, straight forward and knowledgeable. Be prepared to wait!…read more I fell and injured my knee and after x-rays didn't show any fractures I was referred to Sea View Orthopedic, where I saw Dr. Eidt. First visit: ~10 minutes in the waiting room | ~15 minutes in the exam room | ~8 minutes with the Dr. He barely looked at my knee, told me to wear a compression sleeve for a few weeks and reduce activities. Second visit: ~10 minutes in the waiting room | ~30 minutes in the exam room | ~2 minutes with the Dr. He asked me how physical therapy was going, to which I told him I wasn't doing PT, just wearing the compression sleeve and reducing activities but that had not changed anything and I was still in pain. He told me to get an MRI. Third visit: ~15 minutes in the waiting room | ~15 minutes in the exam room | ~5 minutes with the Dr. Said the MRI didn't show anything other than a mild case of arthritis and I could do PT or injections for the arthritis, but no resolution for the pain I was still in due to the fall.
