Had a wonderful stay here at the Bruntsfield Hotel, we had a great time! From the check in, to the breakfast, everyone was so kind and helpful. (The breakfast was delicious by the way.) The hotel itself was cozy, and the room was very large! It was incredibly clean, and the bed was SO comfortable. I liked how there was a throw blanket in addition to the comforter, and many pillow options. There were also terry robes, a fridge, and microwave in the room. We were happy to have space to spread out so we did not feel so confined (some hotels when traveling can be very small.) It was across the street from a park, and walking distance to many great restaurants, coffee shops, and of course the tourist attractions. That is what attracted us here, we were able to walk to the Prince's Street Gardens, Edinburgh Castle, Scotland National Museum, Surgeon's Hall Museum, Royal Mile, and they were all a safe/reasonable walk. The only complaint with the hotel was that we did not know there was no air conditioning, and no fan. The windows opened only a few inches, so the first night was incredibly hot and it was hard to sleep. I did not think to even ask if there was air or a fan when we booked... this is the first time I have encountered such a situation in my many years of travel. Everything else was fantastic though, and I would still stay here again, just during a cooler season than the summer. :) read more
