April 30/2022: Just completed 4 day staying here for a business trip. This was a terrible hotel. It was old & in very bad need of an upgrade/remodel. My room was very beat up. 1. Old dirty carpet, 2. Hacks in the wall, 3. A TV remote that didn't work, 4. A bathroom door that was literally falling apart, 5. Lights that were broke & burned out, 6. Missing switch covers. All this in addition to a rude & uncooperative staff that was obviously family & reluctant to do ANYTHING to assist their guests. And to top it all off...it was noisy as hell. So much so I had to move to a little less beat up room which didn't make the stay any better. One final note, for the whole hotel, one ice maker! read more

The fact that I paid over $300 for the room was bad enough. It smelled awful and I'm pretty sure the guy in the next room was homeless. However, the hot tub... well, lets just say I went straight to the bath, only to find it was marginally better. Fortunately I have a sleeping bag in my car and I put that on the bed. We have passed by this property many times and since they do not have pet friendly rooms we had never stayed. On our latest short getaway trip we decided to give this BW a try as its on our route and we have been dog-less since our Daisy left us a couple of years! The room we checked-into, was fine except for the desk lamp, we contacted front desk and Simran who checked us in was very helpful and apologetic even though it was not her fault at all, she immediately checked her system and offered us an upgrade to a Suite on the same floor. She was nice enough to pre-check the room and had the heating turned on before we moved in! Kudos to Simran for such thoughtfulness and her professionalism! read more

The customer service on the phone was rude. When I checked in I was charged up front with a damage deposit. What's the point of having a credit card on file? I've been a loyal customer with best western for years never had to prepay or pay a damage deposit. They always just charge upon check out to the card on file. Room and rug was damp and reeked of cologne. Toilet was dirty with pubic hair. Dirt in the tub, red hair in the toilet paper roll . Grime on the bedside. I don't believe this room was sanitized or even cleaned. Lint in the bed sheet like they haven't been changed. Luckily I carry my own sheets. I am a cleaner in my off time so I forgot to take photos before I started cleaning. Also to mention there was some intoxicated neighbours took the staff almost and hour to address the noise. read more

I pre checked in they were quick and got me right in my room. Not to busy and plenty of free parking. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. They even have air conditioners Plenty of ice and vending machines as well. read more

Cleanliness is not a priority for this property. Our room was disgusting upon check-in. Dirty greasy napkins in the microwave, food and sticky patches in the fridge. Shower had what looked like soap scum and came off when I wiped it down. Considering what they were charging per night, this was not acceptable. I will say that the front desk staff were very nice and approachable. read more

Maple Ridge doesn't have a lot of hotel/motel choices. Unfortunately this Best Western probably tries hard but definitely shows its age. If you really need to put up friends or family in town it's really only one of the two (2) to pick. read more

I booked this hotel for a seminar. My friends are paying 60% less than I am, so I'm not too happy about that. The hotel made me change rooms and jacked the price up of the new room. Most of the staff was helpful, except for LENA! Lena is the manager, she is rude and unhelpful. I tried to get some information about the room rate and she cut me off and refused to help me. This will be the last time I ever stay at this location. Lena you need a new job! read more

horrible cleaners wish i could give this 0 stars but literally have no choice. first of all girl at the front desk was so sweet and it's not her job to run around and do someone else's job. shower curtains are old and disgustingly dirty. washroom doesn't provide enough towels or toilet paper. the tubs drainage system is really bad we have to keep turning the water off every 2 minutes while showering to let the water go down and then continue showering. if you've read this review this far please note that the cleaners do a horrible job. i noticed one of the cleaners the other day wiping their sweat with a towel and now i'm wondering if that's the towel they put in my washroom. they don't vacuum nor change the garbage or step foot into our room even though our sign is up on the door asking them to please clean!!! this is insane and we are very upset never staying here again. also earlier the cleaners were knocking on our door despite the fact that we had a sign up that said "DO NOT DISTURB" :))))))) and the cleaners are blasting their music while they are cleaning rooms and it's disturbing while you're tired and sleeping in a little. read more
