And when she was applying the wax onto me, I noticed she never threw away any sticks. Oh my god. I'm too nice of a person to say anything in real life so I just had to come on here and warn u guys. You're not supposed to apply the wax onto the person and then PUT THE SAME STICK BACK IN THE WAX AGAIN. Those wooden stick things are so inexpensive too. Literally just get them in bulk on Aliexpress or something, and please THROW EACH STICK AWAY AFTER EACH APPLICATION. Omg. This is not something to be cheap about.... Wouldn't you rather have disease free wax. The ladies who work there are so so nice and I feel really bad saying this, but I'm grossed out and I wish someone had warned me. Also I think I might have gotten burned because I came home, showered immediately and there's this one part that hurts more than the rest. This has never happened to me before. I applied aloe and neosporin and now it doesn't sting but still slightly irritated. I suggest you don't go here for a Brazilian wax but for things like eyebrow threading, maybe. But I'm honestly scared rn. I got burned AND the lady was double dipping. Now I have trust issues and I think I'm just gonna try laser hair removal from now on UPDATE: I was definitely burned and now I keep it constantly moisturized with coconut oil because part of my skin is peeling off. The coconut oil is helping so that's a relief. It's been 3 days, so it's better now but it's been on the back of my mind for 3 days. I'm going to the gynecologist to make sure everything is OK. The shop was quite hot despite having ceiling fans running, and I received a small cut on my upper eyelid during the threading. I also felt the service became rushed when another customer arrived. The procedure was more painful than other threading experiences I've had, and I was required to keep my head tilted back at an uncomfortable angle with no real neck support. When I stood up afterward, I became extremely dizzy and actually staggered a bit. What disappointed me most was that there seemed to be little concern for how I was feeling, as the focus appeared to be more on completing the transaction than checking on my well-being. Overall, you get what you pay for. The prices are inexpensive and the results were acceptable, but I've had much better eyebrow threading experiences elsewhere. 3 stars.

That being said, the negatives that I have are purely coming from a sanitation perspective, as I am also a New York State licensed waxer. Never once have I seen a single technician wear a pair of gloves. That is New York State law. I also can say with confidence that every single time the technician picks up Wax on a stick, she blows on it with her mouth, which is also against New York State law. No one has ever put pressure on the freshly waxed skin, which is a technique that I was personally taught in school, but make sure that I practice while working to ensure the least amount of pain for my clients. Lastly, this is more of a personal issue, but I feel no matter what time of day I come into the salon, whoever works on me has just eaten a meal and I have to hold my breath because of the odor being exhaled directly into my face. Overall, I think that the salon is conveniently located, and appears to be beautiful- the staff is very kind, but sanitation practices are not consistent at all.

Reached out via dm & the responses were super fast, you have to go through vagaro and book your appointments which isn't pretty bad. I actually called in instead and spoke with the lovely manager Cassidy, she was very professional and super helpful with all 99 of my questions lol. She even booked my complimentary session for the same week & I made it my business on self love to go take care of me. Traveling & Greeting: Coming from Canarsie it was about a 45 min drive not too bad. I arrived to my appointment about 15 min early & was still greeted with a smile and warm welcome. Cassidy told me to take a seat and Miranda greeted me about 5 min earlier. Hospitality: The customer service was phenomenal I was so happy with how I was treated. Miranda made me feel super comfortable from the beginning to the end. She explained the equipment & the process and it was the best laser experience I've had so far. Laser Experience: It had some pain which is normal like pinches the process is still burning the hairs away, ( not a walk in the park lol ) but as Miranda used the laser machine she rubbed the area, like with a motherly rub. This was comforting because Im not the best at taking any type of pain lol. They were pretty good, so I was a bit more confident in my choice to proceeded to get my eyebrows threaded. The establishment is "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" "just right" in size; not too big and not too small. The lady who did my eyebrows moved so quickly in doing them, that I was getting the feeling that my eyebrows were going to look horrid because surely, one cannot do an impressive job if they're moving so fast....right? I'm glad to say that I was wrong and pleasantly surprised at the outcome. My eyebrows almost looked like twins. I would definitely consider stopping by again if I can convince myself that I'm not cheating on my eyebrow lady because in my experience, a good eyebrow place is hard to come by.
