I can not say enough about Alex. She is truly one of a kind. She was my daughter's speech…read moretherapist in the public schools, and she far exceeded my hopes. Alex looks at the "whole child," and structured the goals towards growing my daughter as a person, as an independent thinker, and a self-sufficient young lady, all while centered around advancing her speech skills. In the IEP discussions at school, she was an active participant, and a true leader in terms of looking out for all of my daughter's goals. She had a voice and influence in all dimensions of the process. Alex always went above and beyond, offering practical and fun .....and highly relevant paths for my daughter. Oh .....and her speech has improved, too :-) Yes, I can not more enthusiastically recommend Alex!!!

I found Alex on Yelp and called her to learn more about her after my son's teacher suggested she would have the school speech pathologist listen to him. He's 5 1/2 yrs old and in kindergarten, and I wanted a 2nd opinion. In our very first conversation, her warmth, expertise, and graciousness came through so clearly. She spoke to me for a half an hour, basically diagnosed him based on my description of what was going on (he had a lateral lisp), and suggested that the school would have to offer speech therapy at no cost to me. She also offered to spend a half hour talking with him, free of charge, just in case I still was not fully on board with simply going through his school. At the end of that first meeting, she guided me on how to make sure the school would treat my son, but he developed an attachment to Alex right away and really loved being with her that it made sense to me to keep him in a happy environment to do his therapy, so we chose Alex over the school therapy. A mere month or so later, he speaks perfectly clearly, and has had the best time getting to this point. He LOVES seeing Alex, and even though I told him he'd be graduating soon, he asked to still go see her every week to say hi! It has been such an incredible experience for all of us--there's nothing like seeing your child work hard because he's encouraged to do so in such a warmly positive way. It's abundantly clear that Alex loves her job, loves working with children, and is constantly trying to find ways to engage and make it fun. If you have any concerns about your child's speech, RUN to Alex, you will be so happy you did!!

She is easy to work with, deeply knowledgeable, and brings a calm, kind presence to every interaction. What stands out most is her relationship-based lens. She takes the time to understand each child and family, meeting them where they are and building meaningful, trusting connections that support growth. Dani is also DIR-trained, which is evident in the way she approaches her work with a strong focus on connection, regulation, and developmentally appropriate support. She offers strategies that feel both practical and aligned with how children naturally learn and relate. We highly recommend Dani to any school or family looking for a wonderful, experienced speech therapist who brings both expertise and heart to her work.

Dani's approach of child led speech therapy keeps my son engaged in any activity that he is interested in that moment, while creating meaningful ways to help support his language development. Dani is so helpful, and supportive not just for the child, but also to the rest of the family, educating us in what we could do to understand, and help support our child in the best way possible. Our son has grown so much since working with Dani! It's a really positive experience all around!

Cortica definitely has more of a "big chain" feel compared to the small, family-style clinics we were used to... things like multiple phone lines and staff menus before you get to the right person. But that's kind of expected with a nationwide company, and options in Marin for ABA and OT that take insurance are limited, if any others? The process has been clear: we started with a Nurse Practitioner, then an ABA assessor, and then the ABA supervisor who continues to meet with us regularly. They've taken into account data from our previous clinic down south, which we appreciated. Everyone has been super knowledgeable and kind. It's true there's a wait for RBTs due to staffing shortages, but once you're in, you still get regular parent training sessions with the ABA supervisor, which helps keep things moving while you wait. We're hoping to get an RBT soon. And Dr. V, the neurologist on site, is amazing. She's been fantastic with my son. Super communicative, supportive, and easy to talk to. She's very organized and her medical assistant has provided so much info for us which is great. It can all feel overwhelming, but I think the systems (online portals, phone mazes when calling, just the corporate infrastructure) is what kind of kills it for some folks...as it can start to get frustrating to have to do so much to get to the right 'person' for answers. However, I think some of that will fade away...as the rhythm of a schedule for therapies, follow-ups, etc. gets in the groove.

Knowledgeable and caring staff; MD, music therapy, OT and ABA under one roof. I highly recommendread more
