I first visited Alison for basic facial waxing treatments. As I began to age, it was clear that I needed more skin care. Alison expertly began dermaplaning and facial treatments that made such a huge difference in my appearance. She made me feel better about the aging process because of her compassion and understanding of my complexion needs. In addition, Alison over the years helped my daughter with her teenage years by providing treatments to assist with acne. Alison's makeup skills came into focus, as she provided the makeup assistance with my daughter's wedding! We've never looked so good! Recently while Alison was dermaplaning my skin, she noticed a bump on my skin above my left eye. It caused me to visit the dermatologist and today I had a squamous cell growth removed from my face!!! If it hadn't been for Alison's attention to detail, I might never have noticed that I had skin cancer. I am so grateful that I have a caring esthetician like Alison to help me with my complexion. More importantly, Alison's concern for my health and well being prevented a serious growth from progressing. At Inner Circle Spa, you will not only receive the most relaxing, comfortable spa experience, but you can rest assured that Alison is not only caring for your skin care needs, but your health and well being too! She seemed a bit annoyed because she was on the phone and had to tell me where to go. The massage room was more spacious than other ME locations I've been to in the area. Table was comfortable and everything was in order. I told my therapist I needed to use the bathroom. I didn't know I was already on the clock! A 1.5 hour massage is technically 80 minutes. I got to the room and the countdown was already at 77, then getting undressed and starting the process ate up another 5 minutes or so plus the pre massage conversation. Tick Tok Tick Tok. The gentleman providing me with my massage seemed annoyed that I was male so he made it clear at the start of the massage that he doesn't do "conversation", gave a Covid mask protocol so each, then proceeded to perform some sort of very light pressure gesturing mixed with hot towels. I'm guessing my glutes were off limits even though the reason I get massages is due to low back pain. He spent a lot of time ensuring the sheets were properly draped and tucked because heaven forbid there may be some exposed skin that he might have to touch. The hot towels that were covered by the sheet turned into just cold wet sheets. Not very relaxing. Now he did murder my neck muscles. I seriously couldn't move my neck the next day. This is why I don't go to new therapist and only go to someone I know. This was booked because I couldn't get in to my primary location with my usual therapist and I figured "what the heck, what's the worst that could happen?" Well now I know. One the 90 minutes (LOL) were up it was get dressed and then I figured I'd leave him the standard tip. So the ME was ok, but I wouldn't use this guy again. Maybe he is great with others, but not my idea of therapy and/or relaxation.
