Dan Anderson, Tried pulling a real doozy on us by Knowingly and intentionally not disclosing known serious defects. Just my luck he hired honest people who disclosed to me that the repairs receipts were fake and the work was not permitted & incomplete. Would cost big bucks in a short period of time. I had to retain an Attorney the day of closing in order to legally run from this Hot Mess. Dan Anderson lies to the public using ReMAX name" stated buyer could not finance. That's a flat out lie just like the ever piece of paperwork AD written up by Dan Anderson. The Attorney told him and his broker this fraud to their faces. Zero stars

We bought a house they had listed 8 months ago. first of all, Tom Didier I believe had never really been through the house he was selling. The sellers were older and had lived there 40 yrs. Tom claims to have just listed and admitted to not knowing much about the property.............first red flag. Tina was supposedly in charge of the selling broker's duties. We had a "Buyer's Agent with First Weber, another mistake who basically did nothing. In fact, one evening I called him regarding an offer we were going to submit and he told me off. My husband later suggested that he apologize to me, and he did, but I don't even think he knew why. He's being paid a commission to challenge my research and avoid my questions. We never did a "walk thru" prior to closing and the title company closed without any of the code compliant issues being addressed. Long story short, we had to get an attorney toforce Tom Didier into addressing what should have been done in the first place. This obviously cost us money. Tom didier insisted it wasn't his fault, yet had to complete the work order nonetheless. Immediatealy after our first heavy rain we discovered that there was a massive coverup in the attic from a leaking roof! Of course Tom Didier once again, not available or helpful. Short of more legal action, we had no recourse. Just around the same time, my husband had three unexpected surgeries, so needless to say, we did not pursue the situation. My question is how does Tom Dider live with himself. The city building inspector, and our attorney and the title company all knew where the responsibility fell, to the listing broker, (the sellers), of course with regard to code compliant issues, and Tom Didier still had to be forced into paying for and fixing these issues. What a guy!!! He's a bully. I heard that he talked our buyer's agent into paying a portion and the home inspector as well. The full responsibility was on Remax and yet he gets others to chip in...........he's a bully indeed. His "team" member Tina, did everything she could to avoid us and the questions we had prior to and after closing. For example, there is a new lamenent floor and she made sure she told me numerous times that it has a fifteen year warrenty. I asked for the paperwork and the name of the company or person who installed the floor. She claimed there wasn't any paperwork and she did not know who installed. Then there's no warranty! She and Tom Didier were dealing with professionals........who were we dealing with??? Think twice before engaging the "Didier Team" in Cedarburg. what a scam....

I told several people that I'd highly recommend him. Unbeknownst to me, it was quite opposite. Since closing on my house a few days ago, I've had different professionals in for routine maintenance, (furnace + duct cleaning) plus a remodeling contractor and plumber. All have found concerning issues that in my opinion should have been caught. The furnace had a leak in one of the hoses, and the motor for one of the zones was frozen so wasn't operating, and heat was pouring into the basement from the pressure buildup. A 220 live wire was hanging in the attic. Mold and mildew was found in the basement that looked like the owner tried to cover with paint. He told me the cold water wasn't working at all in the utility tub so I hired a plumber to come out and fix it. Turns out the handle was put on backwards so it did indeed work. One of the bedroom walls is bowing due to moisture in the wall. Inspections aren't cheap which is why I'm also disappointed by what has been found. I will say Bob is a very nice guy, and takes the time to go through the report and answers any questions.

Both the buyers inspector and wall engineer stated that he should've caught this. No, it didn't start bowing after I purchased the how cause I filled and painted the cracks and no new cracks appeared.

Listen to what the other reviews mention - Mark Thomas is the best and is well worth it…read more I recently purchases a duplex down in Bayview and he was recommended to me by my realtor, Norm Terapak (Terapak Realty), as being the best. After calling up and speaking with his assistant about his rates and time, I noticed that it was a little more expensive than other home inspectors. She did mention that it is since he is the best, has the best reports, gets on the roof, and takes his time going through. I took Norm and her word for it and had Mark take a look at the property. His assistant called to let me know that he was running late due to traffic yet he still showed up on time, which is always a plus. We spent more than 4 hours looking through EVERYTHING, and I mean he looked at and tested everything. I have been told that most inspectors don't go up on roofs anymore yet Mark got up on the roof, snapped pictures, and was checking it out for 15 minutes. Mark uses a digital camera to take dozens of pictures and has a laptop on site that he uploads them to right away. He puts together his digital report as he goes. In all he provided a digital PDF copy of the report that was 37 pages long with so much detail. Not only did it include a few pictures on each page, descriptions, but also diagrams of how to correct it or what it should look like. Mark also knew I was a first time duplex buyer and would educate me along the way, show me various items, and explain things in detail so I would understand and know for the future. He was very educational and helpful. He may be a little more expensive than others yet what he found I was able to get some serious money knocked off the price so it was money very well spent. Highly recommend Mark and will be using him in the future.

All of the other reviewers are right, he is incredibly thorough, describes things in a way anyone could understand and goes over the report with you on-site. He says some inspection places don't do the report on-site and I think that would be really inconvenient. As we were talking he mentioned some things that I then asked him to include in the report and he was happy to do so. What a drag it would have been to go over it all myself and ask for changes later. You can't go wrong here if you need the best.

The sellers wanted to close within 30 days so it was imperative that we found a home inspector asap. I scheduled our home inspection with Kelly on their website around 8 pm on a Saturday. Within 15 minutes, Kelly texted me thanking me for booking with Extensive and told me he would call tomorrow morning. In talking with Kelly the following morning, I was confident I had made the right choice. Kelly met with my wife and our Realtor at the home later that week and was incredible. He knew we were first time home buyers and went through and explained everything he was doing to my wife. He showed her several things that most first time home buyers probably wouldn't have known about and explained everything to her in a very easy to understand way. Kelly was very thorough throughout the inspection. The next day, he sent us a binder with everything he inspected which was extremely helpful. He also told us that if we ever had any questions throughout our time owning this home, we can call him. I was thrilled with Kelly and Extensive Home Inspections and would strongly recommend him to everyone!
