It was an immediate yes for us and now that we've been here since May, we are so happy that our girls come here & are so loved by their teachers. Robyn helped us potty train her easily and it's been such a loving nurturing environment. LPS staff has been our second family. The teachers are the reason why we chose to bring her here. Teacher Serena deserves a special acknowledgement as she navigated online distance learning in 2020. It was a tough year when she started kindergarten but LPS did an amazing job providing a nurturing and navigating through all the complexities due to COVID. I can't thank them all enough for everything they've done. We also have two little girls both in LPS in teach Sara's class and with Teacher Kathy and Becky! Our girls LOVE LPS. The staff has been there for 20+ years and even teacher Evelyn who retired comes back every now and then to help out when needed. She does this because she loves the kiddos. Robyn is now the Director which is fantastic she's been a teacher for many years and has always communicated effortlessly. Our kids love all the teachers but they absolutely adore teacher Stacey. They talk about her all the time and even ask for play dates and sleepovers with her, that's awesome!!! We are so happy with this preschool and blessed to call it our kiddos second home/family

A huge plus for us has been the onsite enrichment programs, like soccer and Spanish class, which means we don't have to spend our evenings driving around town for extra activities. Also, the live camera access is a much appreciated added bonus that our last daycare didn't have.

As a former parent of a child who was enrolled at this school, I wanted to write my review based on…read morefacts and what I observed at the school during that time. There were good things about this school but over the last several months, something at the school has changed. These are my views and based on knowledgeable firsthand facts. Lack of Proper Oversight - The school has been hit by licensing several times over the last 6 months (details and sign up of alerts can be found here https://www.ccld.dss.ca.gov/carefacilitysearch/FacDetail/013421352). The staff will constantly turn their backs, be on their phone, stand in areas that block views, and leave children unattended constantly. For example, I picked up my son in late March (5ish) and the number of kids was 18 for one teacher, all different ages playing outside on the playground. Also, I dropped off my son last week (8:20 am), and noticed the number of kids was 30+ but only two teachers were outside (Ratio is supposed to be 12-1). I have noticed a constant repetitive pattern, and it looks like other parents have communicated these same issues to licensing. Lack of Proper Teaching - During afternoon nap time, I signed my son up for additional academic learning programs that were offered. This program, Early Explorers, was designed to provide additional education to kids that were dropping their naps. It wasn't a free choice and required parents to pay extra. Over the last six months, the program went from fun academic learning to additional free play outside. During their free play outside, nothing academic or educational was provided, it was only more play outside on the playground. When questioned about why I was paying for a program that was advertised as additional learning opportunities, an excuse about lunch breaks was communicated to me. Lack of Proper Intervention / Regulation - During my time there, multiple reports were communicated to me about my son's incidents. During these incidents it was made clear that teachers were not properly trained in the right child development techniques and were constantly intervening when situations escalated to the highest levels. For example, my son had several incident reports for physical violence, when questioned about the lead up to the situation, it was clear that my son communicated he needed another child to respect his space. The teacher watched my son communicate multiple times that my son needed space, intervening after things escalated physically between the two children. During another incident, I questioned the teacher asking things like "can you tell me more about when and how you stepped in?" or "Can you provide me with facts leading up to the situation?", which caused teachers to not provide adequate details about the situation. Lack of Communication to parents by the Owner and Leadership - A situation came up last year where parents were passing around a picture of my son being restrained by a teacher. That picture was provided to me six months later when another parent asked about the situation, thinking I knew about it. Nothing was communicated to me by leadership or the owner until I comforted them about it. When asked why this wasn't brought to my attention, the excuse "an internal investigation happened" was used. Then questioned again on why I wasn't made aware of this, the comments "well the child's parents were notified", I was the parent of the child, and it was clear Leadership was trying to keep it from us.

Genius kinds in Bernal Pleasanton is a great school. When we moved to Livermore, our daughter knew…read morethe number up to 20 and can write may be few. After she was out of school, she could free write numbers from 1-100 and write her name and write small sentences. She became a lot better at public speaking and made beautiful paintings and cards for father's day and mother's day. The school is spacious for kids, bright and lively. There is ample parking for parents to pick up and drop kids safely. The owner is very accomodating and takes care at a personal level. I hope there is no pandemic is coming, but when it came during our time, the school did transform itself and provided a safe place for our kids. Arranged virtual classes, and that experience left us in awe, how resilient the teacher and management of this school is. I wish more success to this school. My assessment is based on my daughter going to a couple of known good schools in Sunnyvale and San Jose. This school simply stands far better than them.

He was always nurtured, supported, and genuinely cared for. She has also grown so much academically and it has been great to see it "click" as she learns her letters, numbers, handwriting and more. We were very attracted to SLP for the co-op format (as high parental involvement was very important to us), as well as to the biblical teachings. I love that I have the opportunity to regularly be in the classroom and know exactly what students are learning and working on and see how my daughter interacts with her teacher and other students. I have also developed many new friendships myself with other SLP parents. SLP teachers make every child and family feel seen and loved. The other morning, I told her that since we had about 20 minutes before I dropped her off, I was going to pull weeds in the garden. She announced that she was going to be a "high-give helper," (thanks for that concept SLP!!!) put on her gardening gloves, and got to work right beside me. I didn't ask for her help; I knew those were the fruits of the outstanding education she is receiving from the teachers and staff at SLP. SLP forms the "whole child." She is quick to point out letters and their sounds, just like they practice at school, and she actually has better handwriting than her siblings who are already in elementary school. Talk about TK and Kindergarten readiness! That isn't even the best part, though. The best part is how they treat each child with the utmost love, care, and respect. The teachers know every child by name and make them feel seen and genuinely cared for. I think that's why the kids at this preschool are so filled with positive attention and instruction; it simply spills over from their hands into their homes. This is such a special school. It shapes minds and hearts, transforming toddlers into caring, thoughtful, and prepared little kids. I know the lessons they have planted in her heart will take root, providing the strongest foundation for my daughter's development into childhood and beyond.

This school has surpassed all of my expectations! The director and the teachers are loving, patient and flexible. They try their best to accommodate all of our requests, making sure we are completely comfortable leaving our child in their care. The staff maintains a great balance between learning and fun. My child has learnt a lot in the short time she's been here and is ready for school. Apart from being able to express herself a lot better and learn to interact with other children her age, she's learning to read, write and do basic math (and I can't stress enough on how appreciative I am of the effort put in to help my child achieve these milestones)! We mainly chose the school for its location and after school program for our kindergartner and daycare for our toddler, but we quickly realized we liked the staff and how they interacted with our kids and that our kids had fun there. Our youngest picked up so much in just the first few months and in this last year she's learned so much more than I expected her to learn as a shy 3 yr old. I love that they teach our older daughter with additional material and not just focus on helping with homework. My daughter will come home and tell me all about the things she learns and when I say 'Oh did you learn that in Kindergarten today or Safari Kids' she will usually say Safari Kids. We love that our youngest gets to learn about public speaking and that she comes home with details about the books they read that day. We love how attentive the staff is with both our kids, how they enjoy being with our kids and how they celebrate each of their accomplishments. I'm super happy with Safari Kids and look forward to the next few years as my youngest grows there. (current update to my review below) It's now the last month my daughter will be at Safari Kids and I'm so grateful to have had a place for her to learn, be safe and grow. He enjoyed his time there and even went back to visit them after he graduated. The only downside was the teacher turnover rate hence the 4 star.

My son gets excited to go to "school" every day, and actually throws a tantrum if I come to get him before 5pm! He loves the routine and doesn't want to miss out on his afternoon outside play time with his friends. They do art every day, and every activity is thoughtfully planned with their development in mind. I live for the photos and updates that come through the KinderCare app every day. It gives me a glimpse into my son's day while he's away from me. The teachers really take the time to get to know your child. There are teachers who aren't even in my son's classroom who know him by name and greet him as we are walking in/out. The Director, Ms. Hope, is always friendly and knowledgeable about what's going on in the classrooms and with each child. Honestly, all the staff here is amazing. My son lights up when he sees his teachers and it just warms my heart and is all that much more reassuring that he's in a good place. I also love that the center organizes community events. We've met some of the other parents that way, and were even able to invite the grandparents to join us for the Fall Festival, which was nice. Unfortunately we are moving out of the area soon, but I am so in love with the KinderCare methodology that we have enrolled my son in another KinderCare near our new home. It's going to be hard to top our experience with Pleasanton, but I'm hopeful we'll have another great experience.

I taught preschool for eight years... I know what to look for to find a quality program and it's been challenging for us to find a good fit. This program goes above and beyond. Lindsey is committed to quality care, respecting the children, providing opportunities to learn, etc. She runs a truly emergent program (many schools say they're emergent but aren't my definition of emergent) and fills the day with fun, child-driven activities. I believe that Lindsey truly enjoys her days with the kids and that our son is loved & nurtured throughout the entirety of his school day! Thank you to this wonderful school!!
